This document describes the ABO Discrepancy Index (DI), which provides a measure of case complexity for orthodontic treatment. It outlines various target disorders that are scored, such as overjet, overbite, open bites, crowding, and occlusal relationships. For each target disorder, it specifies how to measure or classify it and what score to assign. The DI allows orthodontists to systematically and objectively assess pretreatment complexity across different cases.
