PLAYERS &EQUIPMENT
 A tennis match can be played by either one
player on each side –a singles match or two
players on each side a doubles match . the
rectangular shaped court has a bas line at the
back , service arias to space just over the net
in which a successful serve must land in ) and
to term lines down either side. A singles match
will mean use the inner side tram line and a
doubles match will mean use the outer tram

SURFACES
 A court can be played on four main surfaces
including grass clay hard surfaces and carpet
.each tournament will choose one surface
type and stick without throughout. All that is
required in terms of equipment is a stringed
racket each and a tennis ball .
SERVICE & FOULS
SERVICE FOULS OF SERVICE
 The start of game will be
through service . First
service will be delivered from
the back of r court mean
between of centre mark and
side line . If first service
false than the player got one
chance of other but if 2nd
chance is also lost then
server lost the point .
 Player delivered service by
running
 if player foot touched base
line of court
 If player go out of base line
and side line
 During service cannot
drop in r court
 If the ball touches the
regular equipment before
SCORING
 You need to score four point to win a game of
tennis. The point are three points and the fourth
would result vin the winning points and the end
of that game.it the scores went to 40.40 this
would be known as deuce . When a game
reaches deuce the player must then wine by two
clear points .
WINNING GAME
 To win the game you must win a certain amount
of sets best of 3 for women matches and best of 5
sets for men matches) . Wining a set is simply
the first player to reach 6 games but have to be
clear by at least to 2 games . Your opponent wins
5 game you must win the sets 7to 5 . if the set
goes to 6.6 then a tie break is played and its
simple the first to 7 point .
RULES OF TENNIS
 The game start with a coin toss to determine which
player must serve first and which player must serve
first and which side they from .
 The server must then service each point from
alternative sides on the base line . At no point must the
server feet move in front of the baseline on the court
prior to hitting their serve .
 If the server clip the net but ball goes in the server area
still then let is called and they get to take that serve
again without penalty . If the ball hits the net and fails
to go in the service area then out is called and they lose
that serve.
RULES OF GAME
 If the server fail to get their first to get their first
seven in they may take advantage of a second serve. If
they again fail to get their second serve in then a
double fault will be called and the point lost .
 The receiver may stand where they wish upon
receipt of the service .if the ball is struck without the
serve bouncing then the server will receive the point.
 If a player touched the net distracts his opponent or
impedes in anyway then automatically lose the point .
 The ball can hit any part of the line for the point to be
called in outside the line and the ball is out .
RULES OF GAME
 Once a serve has been made the amount of shots
between the players can be unlimited . The point is
won by hitting the balls so the opponent fails to return
it in the scoring areas. Points are awarded in scores of
15, 30 and 40. 15 represent 1.,30=2 and 40=3
 The ball in a tennis match or changed for new balls
every 6 game . A player loses a point if they fail to
return the ball in either the correct areas on the court ,
hits the net and doesn’t go in to opponents area or fails
to return the balls before it bounces twice in their half .
SCORING GAME
 Tennis has a different point system then most
sports. Before we go in to detail , here is your
guide to scoring a game.
 0 point=love
 1 point= 15
 2 point=30
 3 point = 40
 Tied score =all
SCORE WIN DEUCE POINT =AD-IN
 In order to win the game a player must win at
least four points. So if you are up 40.30, 40-
15 or 40-love ,and win one more points you
win the game. If the score is tied in a game
or set you use the term all for example ,if you
and your opponent have both won points in
the game the score would be 30 all.
