The World Bank also barred Wipro for four years in 2007 for providing improper benefits to staff. While both ethical and unethical practices exist, Wipro focuses on promoting ethics and was recognized as one of the world's most ethical companies in 2013.

Small business and entrepreneurship has emerged as an important area of research over the past 40 years. This paper revolves around the issues of the internal controls, fraud and it prevention measures on SMEs performance. The level of fraud incidence as reported by owners is still at a very low level and the overall cost incurred is still within expectation. However, there is a question of whether the low reported rate of fraud is due to adequate preventive actions currently employed by owners, or whether the owners are reluctant to reveal the truth in order to portray their efficiency and effectiveness in running their businesses. This conceptual paper attempts to analyze relevant literature on internal control, fraud, current trends on fraud and business crime prevention measure. Based on the literature, a future research could be suggested in the context of Malaysia. It is hoped that future research on this aspect will uncover the relationship between the effectiveness of internal control and fraud on SMEs and to gauge the adequacy of fraud prevention measure taken by SMEs owners in Malaysia. It is expected that effective internal control and the presence of appropriate fraud preventive measures will help to improve SMEs performance. This study examines ICT usage and digital inclusion among 500 entrepreneurs from small and medium enterprises in the Klang Valley region of Malaysia. The majority of respondents have been in business for 2-4 years and found that ICT usage improved their business performance. Most entrepreneurs have used ICT for less than 3 years, primarily for contacting friends. There is a positive and significant correlation between ICT usage level and digital inclusion (r = 0.599, p <0.05), indicating that greater ICT usage provides benefits to entrepreneurs in terms of digital inclusion for business management and preparing for the emerging digital economy.

The findings show that most entrepreneurs have used ICT for less than 3 years, primarily for contacting friends. However, business performance has improved for many after adopting ICT. There is a positive and significant correlation between levels of ICT usage and digital inclusion, indicating that greater use of ICT provides benefits to entrepreneurs in digitalizing their business operations. This digital inclusion helps SMEs increase their competitiveness in the growing digital economy and prepare for the upcoming fourth industrial revolution.

Community Outreach (SLO)
The Community Outreach team at Telenor Myanmar is responsible for stakeholder engagement, complaint handling, and providing assistance internally and to suppliers. The team includes State Liaison Officers who act as ambassadors in each state and region, engaging with community members, government authorities, ethnic leaders, civil society groups, and ensuring concerns are addressed. The SLOs play important roles in ensuring access to information, assisting with network rollouts, ensuring transparent processes, and handling complaints. Communication occurs through stakeholder meetings, consultations with local leaders, and ongoing dialogue with other departments. The community outreach team has held over 4,500 stakeholder meetings engaging more than 60,000 community members.

This document summarizes the findings of a survey and complaints received by the Myanmar Consumers Union regarding e-commerce. It shows that while consumers recognize some advantages of e-commerce, many have also experienced direct problems like not receiving goods after payment. Common issues involved ordering from overseas websites and being unable to get refunds once the sites disappeared. Mobile payments also led to instances of funds being withdrawn without authorization. The document concludes that while Myanmar has consumer protection laws, many consumers remain unaware of their rights and how to seek dispute resolution. It raises the need for an e-commerce law or regulations regarding cyber security.

This report explores the significance of border towns and spaces for strengthening responses to young people on the move. In particular it explores the linkages of young people to local service centres with the aim of further developing service, protection, and support strategies for migrant children in border areas across the region. The report is based on a small-scale fieldwork study in the border towns of Chipata and Katete in Zambia conducted in July 2023. Border towns and spaces provide a rich source of information about issues related to the informal or irregular movement of young people across borders, including smuggling and trafficking. They can help build a picture of the nature and scope of the type of movement young migrants undertake and also the forms of protection available to them. Border towns and spaces also provide a lens through which we can better understand the vulnerabilities of young people on the move and, critically, the strategies they use to navigate challenges and access support.
The findings in this report highlight some of the key factors shaping the experiences and vulnerabilities of young people on the move – particularly their proximity to border spaces and how this affects the risks that they face. The report describes strategies that young people on the move employ to remain below the radar of visibility to state and non-state actors due to fear of arrest, detention, and deportation while also trying to keep themselves safe and access support in border towns. These strategies of (in)visibility provide a way to protect themselves yet at the same time also heighten some of the risks young people face as their vulnerabilities are not always recognised by those who could offer support.
In this report we show that the realities and challenges of life and migration in this region and in Zambia need to be better understood for support to be strengthened and tuned to meet the specific needs of young people on the move. This includes understanding the role of state and non-state stakeholders, the impact of laws and policies and, critically, the experiences of the young people themselves. We provide recommendations for immediate action, recommendations for programming to support young people on the move in the two towns that would reduce risk for young people in this area, and recommendations for longer term policy advocacy.

The aim of the site is to improve the effectiveness of the original IUU lists as a tool for a wide variety of stakeholders to better understand and combat illegal fishing and broader fisheries crime.
To date, the following regional organisations maintain or share lists of vessels that have been found to carry out or support IUU fishing within their own or adjacent convention areas and/or species of competence:
Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR)
Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT)
General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM)
Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC)
International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT)
Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC)
Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (NAFO)
North East Atlantic Fisheries Commission (NEAFC)
North Pacific Fisheries Commission (NPFC)
South East Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (SEAFO)
South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organisation (SPRFMO)
Southern Indian Ocean Fisheries Agreement (SIOFA)
Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC)
The Combined IUU Fishing Vessel List merges all these sources into one list that provides a single reference point to identify whether a vessel is currently IUU listed. Vessels that have been IUU listed in the past and subsequently delisted (for example because of a change in ownership, or because the vessel is no longer in service) are also retained on the site, so that the site contains a full historic record of IUU listed fishing vessels.
Unlike the IUU lists published on individual RFMO websites, which may update vessel details infrequently or not at all, the Combined IUU Fishing Vessel List is kept up to date with the best available information regarding changes to vessel identity, flag state, ownership, location, and operations.
