- 2. Slideshare • Slideshare isa website where you can upload documents such as powerpoints and word documents. • This website then converts them into an embedded file which then is easily placed on blogger. • Without this website, powerpoints are unable to be placed on blogger. • I used this to upload my assignments.
- 3. Google/Gmail • Google wasused to find out information such as existing supernatural/thriller posters, magazines and trailers. • Gmail lets you email and communicate with others. • The Gmail app is more useful than the website as the app can be downloaded on to portable devices which allows you to check your email on the go. • This was useful as it made communication with my group and other class mates easier than imessaging them documents.
- 4. Blogger • I usedthe website and the app for blogger to document and present my coursework on. • This app allows you to upload and embed videos and powerpoints which is highly useful. • Furthermore, I used the app and website for my research and planning, construction and post production stages of my coursework. • The only downside about the app is that it does not permit you to upload images from portable devices such as phones, tables and iPad.
- 5. Word • Word isa document programme which allows you to type up information. • I used word to type up my treatment and script. • Also, sometimes I used word to plan out a ‘To do list’ for media. • Word document was used throughout all three stages.

BBFC • BBFC (BritishBoard Of Film Classification) is the company that determines which rating a trailer or film gets. • The website belongs to the company which also educates people about why a film gets that specific rating. • This website helped me with my assignments such as my target audience report and how to rate my trailer. • Without this website, it would have been difficult to accurately determine which rating my trailer would be.
- 7. IMDb • IMDb (InternetData Moviebase) is an online database where information about mostly films and other media forms (TV, Videogames etc) and actors backgrounds are placed. • I used the website to look into supernatural/thriller films. • Furthermore, the list which the website produced for me enabled me to compare the plots of the films which made it easier for me to then research into supernatural/ thriller conventions.
- 8. PowerPoint & Prezi •These two are both similar as they are designed to make presentations. • However, PowerPoint is a Microsoft programme but Prezi is an online website. • I used them both so that my assignments can be presented in different and interesting ways.
- 9. FreeSFX • FreeSFX isan online website whereby it allows you to download copyright either score music or sound effects. • This website was useful as it gave me sound effects for my trailer.
- 10. YouTube • YouTube isa video search engine which allows you to watch videos and also upload videos which then become shared and commented on. • I used YouTube to upload all my drafts of my trailer and the evaluations questions which were videos. • It also allowed me to do some camera research such as how to film during the night. • The app was also useful however it was hard to embed the video from YouTube to Blogger.

Wikipedia • Wikipedia isa online encyclopaedia which is written by the public whereby anyone can edit the information. • I used Wikipedia to find out information about my distribution and production company and what films they distributed and produced. • This was useful for my research into distribution and production company requirements and ideas for logos.
- 12. Final Cut Pro •Final Cut Pro is an editing program which is like IMovie however, this editing software is used in the film industry. • I used final cut pro to edit all my drafts for my trailer and also for my evaluation questions which were recorded.
- 13. GifMaker • GifMaker isan online free website whereby you create moving images. • I found this an effective and creative way to display a before and after effect of something for example, I used this website to show the before and after transformation of the actress with and without their makeup.
- 14. Picmonkey • Picmonkey isan online photo editing software whereby you have many opportunities to edit a photo. • I used this during the production of my ancillary tasks to add colour effects on them.
- 15. iMovie • iMovie isan editing program which can be found on Macs. • I downloaded the app on my iPad however I found it easier to use the programme on a computer. • I used iMovie to edit my makeup tutorial as I filmed it at home and used my Mac to edit.
- 16. SurveyMonkey • SurveyMonkey isan online questionnaire website which allows you to create questionnaires and share them on websites such as blogger. • This website allowed me to collect my audience feedback based on my target audience. • I posted the link on Facebook which led to immediate responses.
- 17. Facebook • Facebook isa social networking site which allows you to upload pictures and to talk to people around the world. • I used Facebook to share my trailer, poster and magazine which helped me with my audience feedback.
- 18. PhotoPeach • PhotoPeach arewebsites whereby you can upload images like a slideshow. • I used this website to upload all my pictures I took while filming to show evidence of the production stage.
- 19. Photoshop & InDesign •Photoshop is a image – editing software which lets you edit images and text. • I used this software to edit both my poster and magazine. • InDesign is a publishing software application. • InDesign was used to edit both my poster and magazine.
