C2C – Down The Road
Down the Road
• French electronic music
• C2C is a French turntable group created in 1998,
there are four members in the group: DJ Greem,
DJ Atom, DJ Pfel and 20 Syl
• The group were formerly known as Coups2Cross
• The name of the album is ‘TETR4’ – this is the
first album from the band. It was released on
September 3rd
2012 of the On And On label.
• The album was very successful and reached the
top of French charts and peaked at 35 Hot
Modern Rock Tracks
Star Image
• They look like a turntable group, with a slightly
edgy look, slightly alternative.
• They have hip-hop influences in their songs e.g
scratching
• They look preppy,
and young
Demographic/psychographic -
audience
• We thought that this song and music video would be
aimed at male and females from the age of perhaps 16
– 30. We decided this because it has a faster tempo
and yet a jazzy feel to it.
• We would perhaps target the American hip-hop
culture, this would then enable our music video to be
successful
• The song would be aimed at the middle class, because
it is fast pace, and would be played on the radio. So
those who buy the daily mail and watch programes
that feature on popular channels, like ITV, MTV, BBC
and E4
Carried on …
• People who listen to music regularly and will
go and search for a good DJ
• Religion would likely effect our song, we are
not aiming for something hugely controversial
but we would like to perhaps shock the
audience
• We would aim to target an existing audience
rather than try to find a new one. This would
then help to establish a degree of loyalty
Institutional context of the artist
• The label is inspired by helping people and
spreading original music
• There two first productions have represented
the label, and its artistic style – they aim for
sincerity and originality
• They are into French rap scene so they work
with a lot of French rap artists.

OVERALL CONCEPT
• We have not completely decided our final
concept yet.
• We are thinking of a journey theme because
of the lyrics ‘good bye baby, yes I'm going’.
• This is something we need to come together
and discuss as a group.
• We are definitely going to have a vocalist and
someone on turntables.
Influences for our video
• Telephone by Lady Gaga as it features her escaping from a prison which is
one of our concepts.
• Wrangler Jeans cross town traffic, this is because we like the element of
him being in a car travelling through a manic city.
