• Our artist is Naya Clarke she is a 23 year old girl from
South East London. She grew up in a family of four
with her parents and older brother called Jamie. Naya
has always had a passion for music and wanted to
pursue this as a career so she decided to form a band
with three friends while they were all in school. The
band performed at school concerts and productions.
When Naya finished school she wanted to go solo as
she felt that she wanted to make her own music and
share her individual style. So she started to do as many
gigs as possible to get her music heard. She is also
active across different media platform such as twitter
and instagram, as well sharing her music on YouTube.
Record label
Quartz got signed in 2014 to Columbia Records ,
they were discovered from one of the managers
at the company who saw one of her gigs in
London. She soon started to release tracks of her
own on You Tube which then created a small fan
base. Columbia Records is an American owned
record label which is part of Sony music
entertainment. It was found in 1887 evolving
from an earlier enterprise. The have artists such
as Wet and The Script.
Logo
Our logo is our font which we will use
for our artist. We have found a font
which brings together the geometric
shapes and the gemstone design we
have worked with.
This design is minimalistic to
match the sound and look
of the artist.

• The narrative for our music video is not a clear
narrative but does follow the conventions of the
genre.
• Our video will use artistic shots and editing to match
the song as well as shots that match the lyrics.
• In the video the artist will be followed on a journey
from day to night and at the end she will find herself in
the position she started in, allowing the audience to
see her mirrored life, whilst the reality is that she
didn't’t move from the starting position. This follows
the song title ‘Its all in Vain’.
