1) The student continued working on side blocks for a lamp shade project, cutting them into shape using a coping saw and tenon saw which was faster.
2) After cutting all the side blocks, the student used a disc sander with safety goggles and mask to sand the blocks into shape.
3) The process of cutting and sanding the side blocks was repetitive and the student felt bored, though they felt on track with their project plan.

- 4. An Image Related to the Blog Topic These are two pictures I took with former classes. The picture to the left was taken last year. My students stayed late to display their work in the showcase on the second floor. I am proud of this picture because these students chose to come after school and work together on displaying their work. You can see by the looks on their faces they feel proud of their accomplishments. The picture on the right is of my freshmen class two years ago. We had a guest speaker and the kids were very excited to commemorate the occasion with a picture. These are some proud teaching moments for me.
