3. Paula Naugle
Paula Naugle is an
elementary teacher who
teachers social studies. I
want to teach elementary
school social studies too
so that it one of the
reasons I chose to follow
her.
She also uses a large
variety of media
resources to teach this
subject and tweets about
them, so it is useful for
me to see what is out
there and what I can
possibly use when I
myself become a teacher.
4. Teaching Ideas + News
Teaching Ideas and
News provides great
resources like games,
songs, ideas, articles
and a lot more for
new teachers. As a
new teacher I think
this network will help
me a great deal and
teach me how to
teach students in the
best way possible.
5. Teaching Channel
Great resource for the
lesson planning equipped
with videos and tools that
teach how to organize a
lesson and teach the
material to the students in
the way they will
understand.
I know I will consult this
site often when I begin to
teach because all children
learn differently and for the
first while before I learn
about each student and
how they like to learn this
website can guide me in
my lesson planning.
7. PLN Participation
When I created my Twitter account I did not think that I will use
it that much and that it will teach me a lot. My view of it
changed when I stated visiting my account more often and
began to follow great organizations and people.
Twitter connected me with the intelligent and wonderful people
who are great at what they. I have learned a lot from them. In
particular I found it fascinating how many tools are available
for the new teachers that help us succeed in our job.
I loved reading about the new strategies in teaching, watching
videos of the real life classrooms and how the teachers
engage students in the lesson. I also learned a lot of the
games teachers can play with the students as a way to learn
topics like: body parts.
Many websites also show how to address critical issues like
bullying and cyberbullying and how to teach students the best
way to prevent it from happening.
My favorite hashtags are: #weareteachers, #teachingchannel,
#teachhub, #teachersnet
