how to make a living, and the other is my father who teaches me how to live.

sports also help people in making decisions and be more confident. 'Never love something that
cannot love you back' is what my father used to say. He teaches me not to worship material
possessions. Nevertheless, he spends his money on the equipment for his mountain bikes. Only one
thing that makes him spends his money. Cycling is also his favorite sport. Each of his trips
includes a bicycle, a helmet, a backpack, and a camera. One of his selected destinations is
Chiang–Mai because he thinks it is challenging to find new routes for his every single trip to get
there. Every time he tells me that he will be gone for a few weeks, a small part of me is worried
about his trip and a bigger part is being so proud of him. When he is on a trip, he often sounds
exhausted over the phone but he wouldn't let his weakness came over him before he reaches the

Even though we live apart, I reside in Bangkok with my mother while he has spent the past seven

I had a teacher in high school that began each class with a funny story or a random fact. We, as
students, looked forward to attending to his classes just to know what he had brought for us that
day. He was a stern teacher, but everyone appreciated him because he showed an interest in us
enjoying his classes.
An additional way that educators can make the class stimulating while maintaining student interest is
to include voice fluctuations and floor coverage in their lectures. We have all experienced those
teachers who never change their voice or their position on the floor during the course of an hour.
These monotone voices and stand still positions are almost hypnotizing; students get sluggish and
drop curiosity fast. My ideal teacher would use their voice to expand and carry on the students'
attention for the whole hour.
Using voice to emphasize an important point or even an incident that is being discussed can be very
valuable in creating excitement for the students. When a teacher moves about the room, one will
notice that the students will focus on the teacher and their eyes will follow. Simply moving their

learning styles as I can, I will make sure each student is able to get the most out of their learning
experience. I understand that every child learns differently and understanding how to use different
approaches in each lesson plan will benefit every student. Not only is it important to use different
learning styles but I will also use different teaching styles during the curriculum. The different
methods I would like to use to teach my lessons include but are not limited to; scientific investigation
which uses the scientific method. The scientific method includes first investigating the problem,
coming up with a logical hypothesis, performing the experiment, reading the results, and finally
completing an analysis of the results. The next method I would explore is decision making which
is the thought process of selecting a logical choice from the available options. Next is problem

Over the past school year, I've started developing my own idea of what it means to be a teacher,
and how I can be the best teacher to the students who walk into my classroom at the beginning of
each semester. As a new teacher, who isn't much older than some of her students, being able to
relate to them on a personal level becomes an important part of my pedagogy. Throughout my
academic career the professors I connected with the most were those that didn't take themselves so
seriously. They were open with students, and obviously cared deeply about their work. Those
professors' classes became the courses I worked the hardest in, and inevitably became my favorite
classes. It is their pedagogy that I strive to emulate and make my own. For me to connect with my
students, it is important that I am as open with them as I can be, while still retaining the teacher
persona. I believe that being honest with them promotes a trusting relationship where they feel

know that it's okay to be frustrated with a paper that research can be hard, that everyone gets
overwhelmed; I've been there too, and am still going through it. I give them tips that work for me,
and tips that have worked for other people. My students come into my office knowing I'm there to
help them with whatever they need, and sometimes it's just an ear to listen while they vent their
