What is Paper Craft
Important features of Paper Crafts
• Paper craft is the collection of art forms employing paper or card as the
primary artistic medium for the creation of objects.
• It has a wide range of techniques, e.g. folding, cutting, gluing, molding,
stitching, or layering.
• Paper is a relatively inexpensive medium, readily available, and easy to
work with.
• Paper crafts may also be used in therapeutic settings, providing children
with a safe and uncomplicated creative outlet to express feelings.
• The kind of paper that can be used includes old new papers, used
papers and different colours of low cost papers, easily available in book
shops or in the surroundings. A packet of papers is also provided in the
Arts & Crafts kit.

What do you think is meant by Paper Mache (or Papier Maché)
Paper Mache/Mash
Important Tips for Using Glue
• If you do not like the smell of glue, add a pinch of cinnamon (daalchini)
• If you do not plan to paint your project, you can add a few drops of
food colouring to the glue to give it some color. Food colouring can
stain fabrics, so keep it away from your clothes, furniture, curtains, etc.
Wear an apron for protection.
• If you live in an area with high humidity (a lot of moisture in the air),
add a few tablespoons of salt to help prevent fungus on the glue.
• Some people with sensitive skin may have an allergic reaction to the
flour mixture. A mild rash is common but nothing to worry about.
