Some Tips
 It’s a must to supervise young learners while handling the
scissors, the glue, the stapler, …
 All materials should be prepared in advance
 Help learners develop a sense of responsibility by clearing
all the mess after the craft time
 Help learners build good rapport with each other by
praising good behaviour and relationships
 Let learners decide by themselves the tasks they like to
accomplish within their teams
24
More Tips…
❏ Learners need to move freely and to feel comfortable with
all those around
❏ Encourage learners to collaborate and exchange ideas
❏ Make sure they use more English ( Introduce new
vocabulary and repeatedly remind them of the new words)
❏ Don’t rush things! Students ( at first) need much time to be
familiar with these activities
❏ In Art & Crafts, there’s no right or wrong… Every student
fosters these skills by practicing more … Praise all their
efforts…
❏ Encourage Creativity
25
More Tips ...
❏ Learners can take snapshots & post them online ( they can
upgrade their digital skills while looking for free photos
editing tools …)
❏ Learners make short films that evoke creativity
❏ Learners can make sketchnotes about topics that interest
them
❏ Learners can digitise their work and connect with like-
minded peers
