1. Task 7 – Questionnaire and Results
In this task I have
taken screenshots
from a survey
created on the
website survey
monkey. I have
asked people from
my target audience
to take my survey.
On this question I
asked the age of the
person, in which I
got a 100% result of
them being between
the ages of 16 – 18
years old.
As you can see
from this
screen shot, I
asked the
gender of the
person. Which
I got 83.33%
that they were
female and a
16.67% were
male.
2. In this question I
asked what
hobbies/
interests people
had.
I received the
answers
shopping, tv,
films and dance
but the majority
of people replied
with shopping.
For this question I
asked the audience
what would attract
them to a magazine, I
had many responses,
such as imagery,
content, colours, front
and celebrities.
From the results the
answer I received the
most was the colours
and images.
3. In this question as asked
how often people buy
magazines. The majority of
people voted monthly,
although I also received
the answers, never and
weekly.
I asked my target
audience which artists
they would like to see
in the magazine.
There were 3 results
of popular/new ones.
Some answers were
more direct with
answers such as Ed
Sheeran, One
Direction and Louis
Walsh.
4. I asked the target
audient what
colours would be
best used on a
magazine. Most
people voted for the
colour green, but
close second what
the colour red and
just behind that was
the colour blue.
For another question
in my survey from
this screenshot you
can see I asked
which font is best for
a magazine, the
results I received
was 66.67% saying
Serif and 33.33%
saying San Serif.
5. The magazine
should contain
either more
images or text.
I received two
answers of
equal amount,
two answers of
images and two
of text.
I asked weather
I asked my target
audience what the
magazine would have to
contain for them to be
interested, I received
the answers images,
boys, gossip and
interviews. My most
popular answer was
gossip.
6. From the results of what my target audience want in a magazine, I have been
able to piece together all the information and have established what my
magazine needs to contain.
The magazine should be aimed at 16-18 year old and mostly female. The
magazine should contain articles about shopping, celebrities and gossip with
the possible artist interviews. The font that should be used is serif and should
contain an equal amount of image, text ratio. The colours the magazine would
be greens and reds with some blue. My magazine would also be published
monthly. From my results I have been able to work out that my front cover
needs to be eye catching as that is what my target audience said attracted
them to a magazine with the use of imagery, colours and the font.
