QUESTION 1: ARE YOU MALE OR
                        FEMALE?


From the results that I have gathered from my
questionnaires, I have seen that that ratio of men to
women who will be reading the magazine is almost
equal, with 14 males and 16 females. This shows that my
magazine can be aimed at both genders.
QUESTION 2: WOULD YOUR GENDER
                 EFFECT THE MAGAZINE YOU
                           BOUGHT?


From my questionnaire results I can come to the
conclusion that gender WOULD effect what magazine
you bought. I can see this clearly from my results as 20
people said it would effect their decision on what
magazine they bought and only 10 said it would not
effect their decision.
QUESTION 3: HOW MUCH WOULD YOU
              CONSIDER SPENDING ON A MUSIC
                         MAGAZINE?


For this question I gave the options of £1 -
£2.50, £2.51 - £3, £3+. Most people opted for
the ‘£2.51 - £3’ option. This is a good price for a
music magazine and it’s a magazine that will be
full of music based information.
QUESTION 4: WOULD YOU PREFER A
               MONTHLY OR WEEKLY MAGAZINE?



Most of the questionnaire participants said that they
would rather a monthly magazine, and when asked
why, they said they would prefer monthly because it
would contain more information and a wider range of
music over a month, rather than if it was done weekly.
QUESTION 5: WHAT GENRE OF
                 MUSIC WOULD YOU PREFER?


For this question I gave a variety of options. But even
with the all the options, most participants chose the
‘alternative’ option. So based on this, this is what genre
my music magazine will be based on.
QUESTION 6: DO YOU PREFER
               READING: GOSSIP, JUST MUSIC OR A
                        MIX OF BOTH?


The results from my questionnaire showed me that most
people wanted a mix of both gossip AND music to read
about in their magazine. 27 people out of 30, chose the
‘mix of both’ option, this shows that the majority of
people would prefer a mixture.
QUESTION 7: WOULD YOU LIKE TO
                 READ ABOUT UP AND COMING
                           ARTISTS?


21 out of 30 people said yes to this question, this shows
me that the majority of people would want to read about
future artists. Reading about up and coming artists gives
you an insight into the ever changing music world.
QUESTION 8: IN TERMS OF COLOUR
                SCHEME, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE
                    THE MAGAZINE TO BE?


Options given to this question were;
Bright and Colourful - 5
Basic - 15
Fluorescent - 2
Natural - 7
This shows that most people would prefer a basic colour
scheme for the music magazine.
QUESTION 9: WOULD YOU BE MORE
               ENTICED TO BUY A MAGAZINE IF THERE
                 WERE MUSIC RELATED FREE GIFTS?



17 out of 30 people said that if a magazine did not offer
a free gift, it would not effect their decision on whether
to buy a magazine. This shows a lot of people are more
concerned with the music.
QUESTION 10: WHAT ATTRACTS
                YOU TO MAGAZINES YOU BUY?


The majority of people said the front cover. This tells
me that my front cover has to be of a good quality to
entice buyers.
