A small piece of research I have done towards my AS Media Studies, the information is not my own, as I have said it's research, so the facts are sourced from the internet.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Task 4b – chosen sub genre and publisher
1. Task 4b
I have chosen the sub genre of R&B. I listen to
this genre of music regularly and so this is where
my knowledge lies. It is one of the most popular
genres and therefore has a wide audience base.

Based in New York City, New York, U.S.
Billboard is an American music magazine, headquartered in New York
City, New York and owned by Prometheus Global Media. It was first
published on November 1, 1894, and is distinguished as being among the
oldest trade magazines in the world. The magazine originally focused on
bill posting and outdoor amusements before specializing in the music
industry in the 1960s.
Billboard was founded in Cincinnati on November 1, 1894, by William H.
Donaldson and James Hennegan. Originally titled Billboard Advertising it
was a trade paper for the bill posting industry, hence the magazine's
name. Within a few years of its founding, it began to carry news of
outdoor amusements, a major consumer of billboard space. Eventually,
Billboard became the paper of record for circuses, carnivals, amusement
parks, fairs, vaudeville, minstrels, whale shows and other live
entertainment. The magazine began coverage of motion pictures in 1909
and of radio in the 1920s. Though the first music connection was the
Billboard sheet music best sellers charts & top songs in vaudeville
theatres published in 1913 but it was not a regular chart yet.
Target Audience
Billboard have a wide audience reach as firstly they attract all ages.
In the magazines below, two of them featuring Whitney Houston
and Prince would attract a more middle aged audience whereas the
two magazines featuring Alicia Keys and Beyoncé would attract a
more current, younger audience. The magazines also attracts both
genders as the artists which usually feature are liked by both males
and females. For example Alicia Keys and Whitney Houston are
both female singers however both are liked by both genders.
3. Prometheus Global Media
Prometheus Global Media is New York City-based business-to-business media company. The company
was formed in December 2009 by the sale of the entertainment and media division of Nielsen Company
to a private equity-backed group led by Pluribus Capital Management and Guggenheim Partners.
Guggenheim would acquire Pluribus's stake in the company in January 2013, giving it full ownership.
The company owns and operates a number of major entertainment industry trade publications, including
Adweek, Back Stage, Billboard, Film Journal International, and The Hollywood Reporter.
Each of the publishers magazines have a niche audience. Adweek
focuses on the business world targeting people who have a career in
business or who are interested in current business affairs. The
Hollywood Reporter targets people who are interested in the
entertainment world, however the magazine is very sophisticated and
therefore targeted at an older audience. Billboard is the publishers most
wider reaching audience magazine attracting all ages and both genders.
They are a good publisher to launch my magazine because they are a
well established company publishing very successful magazines.
Billboard is one of the biggest music magazines in the world and most
recognised. However, they do not just focus on music magazines and
publishers who only publish music magazines may have better
expertise. I would choose this publisher on the basis their music
magazine ‘Billboard’ is such a worldwide success.
