2. Locations.
 Busy town center. – Maybe Bury as it’s local. Film on a
Sunday when it is emptier with less people around.
 Typical teenage girls bedroom. – Maybe my bedroom or
my friend Katie's, who will hopefully be acting in my film.
 Mans bedroom. – Either my parents or my siblings room.
May ask my brother to play the part of this man.

3. Characters.
 Teenage girl – 17. – Saffron. Hopefully being played
by my friend Katie, she fits the way I wanted Saffron
to look and she lives close so it’ll be easy to
organise filming.
 Man – Late 20’s – ‘Mark’. – Maybe played by my
brother who is in his late 20’s lives close so
again, easy to organise filming.

4. Props.
 Knife. – Violent weapon.
 Computer/laptop. – Main prop as the plot is about
people meeting online.
 Webcam. – Another main prop as most of the
opening of the film is done through POV of the
webcam.

5. Target audience.

Teenagers, young adults. Possibly adults.
- Teenagers use Skype and other websites like it all the time so this film may
spark an interest for them and also warn them about the dangers of talking to
someone online. Young adults may also take an interest on some of the
features used, they might have a better understanding of some of the
messages and narratives behind the movie. Adults may like or dislike the film
as many of them have children who they know uses social networking sights.

Age certificate –
- Age certificate is fifteen as viewers younger than that may find the film
distressing.

6. Conventions.
 Themes include – Kidnapping and murder.
 Characters – Innocent victims and psychopath (in
first two minutes, remainder of the film would include
police officers and a Femme Fatale)
 Camera shots include: Close ups – show emotion.
Low and high angle shots to show power. POV
shots.
 180 Rule.

7. Practical details.
 Try to film over one week – ensure is have my camera
angles planned and props available.
 Filming will be done in Bury St Edmunds town, either
mine or Katie’s house then either mine, my brothers or
my sisters house.
 I will be using my own HD camcorder and a tri pod which
I will borrow from school.
 Finding time to film may be difficult as Katie has other
engagements to attend too and my brother works.

8. Plot.
Saffron (Played by Katie Lee) is on her computer doing homework or something when a
guy adds her on Skype. His name is Mark, he tells her that he is 25 but we never actually
see his face. Saffron finds herself forming a good friendship with Mark and feels as
though she can trust him. He finds out loads about her including where she lives.
Saffron’s is planning on meeting up with her friends in town. We see that someone is
stalking her. But we do not know if it is Mark or not as we never see his face.
All throughout the film there is shots of a guy looking through a box of photo’s and news
paper cut outs of other people. We get flashbacks of a guy talking to them online and
them getting captured and killed.
We worry for Saffron as we do not know if this Mark guy is planning on stalking her and
killing her or if it is someone else all along. We find out at the end of the two minutes.
Initial murder the audience first witness which sets up the plot for the rest of the film.
