Tape fabric is a narrow woven fabric, generally 12 inches or less, that is used for non-load bearing applications and reinforcing other fabrics to resist wear and deformation. It is usually made from cotton, polyester, nylon, or glass in a plain weave and is lighter weight than webbing. Tape fabric has superior heat and flame resistance and is used for industrial insulation, dividing materials, file covers, and identifying garments in laundries.
