ambition to do well in everything that I do. I have gained invaluable experience in accounting in two
fast paced environment and I want to progress further through continued professional development and
experience. I bring commitment and determination with a happy demeanour and a smile who can easily
fit into a team that aspires to meet deadlines and deliver good quality work. I would welcome the

Employment History
Current career level Level 2 Certified
Accounts apprentice at Database Service Provider Global Ltd
November 2013 – February 2015
Over the past year I have learnt many different skills and gained a lot of practical knowledge in which I
can use in both my professional and personal life. Whilst I was with DSP I was given many different
roles to complete with an emphasis on supplier reconciliations, credit control, timesheets, expenses,
the creating/managing of all supplier PO’s and processing invoices onto sage 50 as well as dealing with
queries. These roles have helped me to be more goal oriented whilst retaining efficiency and accuracy
in my work as I had to make sure that all timesheets were submitted and approved by month end and
that all suppliers were paid the correct amount. I was able to gain confidence in interpersonal and
problem solving skills in answering supplier queries and improve internal processes such as creating
an expense tracker and playing a key role in rolling out the new PO system.
My extra roles consisted of submission of information for HMRC compliance check, (in which it came
back all clear), monitoring all company mobile phones, and having to order different
equipment/sundries for the company as and when it was needed. This required me to demonstrate
good organisation and the ability to prioritise.
I am still very much motivated to finish my AAT and become a certified account and with the right
opportunity and determination I know I will.

Temporary
During my time here, I worked with my mentor who taught me how to run reports such as bank
reconciliations, profit and loss, invoices, credit notes and receipts. I worked at a Chambers in the City
of London and was put in charge of controlling the petty cash, producing monthly profit and loss

accounts/monthly reconciliations and sending correspondences to various individuals on behalf of the
barristers as well as carrying out other duties for my Mentor.
After gaining a great deal of experience I believe I can now put that knowledge into furthering my career
and seeking employment that will enable me to continue to learn and enhance the organisation I am
working for. I believe that I should always try and go above and beyond that which is asked of me.
Other work experience
January 2005 - December 2010
Catering
I have worked in the catering industry during my school and college holidays and know how to work
under pressure as well as how to deal with customers in a polite and attentive manner. I have worked
with caterers who catered for weddings of over 300 people and had to rely on good organisation and
team working to ensure that all the customers were happy with the service that was given to them.
January 2011 – December 2012
Retail
I worked in the store NEXT as a sales assistant temp during the spring, summer and winter seasonal
sales and can build rapport to resolve issues or concerns from demanding customers, be professional
under scrutiny and have the capacity to control a situation and provide a clear and swift solution so the
customer is satisfied and the company doesn’t suffer loss.

Personal Interests
I've gathered many different skills such as leadership, I lead a group of 15 - 20 young people with an
age range of 12 - 21 in a drilling and drumming unit called a Drum corps and we have played at many
events around London as well as completed street marches with other Drum corps We have also
travelled abroad as a group to America and Europe and this also builds character. I am also a part of
a group called Pathfinders at my church in which we teach the youth and children skills such as
camping, swimming and other lifelong lessons that will encourage them physically, mentally as well as
emotionally. I have also had to counsel some of the youth and this can be challenging but also
rewarding. However alongside leadership I have learnt that to be a leader I must also know when to
follow.
I also enjoy sports such as athletics, swimming, basketball and many more activities. I was a part of
my schools rugby team, athletics team and debate and public speaking teams. My extra curriculum
groups helped to mould me into a team player and a competitor enabling me to unlock my potential and
keep moving forward no matter what. I also have an interest in hiking, computing, reading and visiting
places. I am enthusiastic and a quick learner and always try to have a positive outlook on life. I want
to do well in life and believe I can achieve this so am willing to listen well and learn as I apply myself in
the field of accounting.
