The document presents a study on a T-source inverter-based shunt active filter designed to improve power quality in 415V 50Hz distribution systems by reducing harmonics. It highlights the limitations of traditional inverters in handling reactive power and harmonic compensation, proposing an impedance source inverter as a more effective solution. Through MATLAB simulations, results indicate significant improvements in power factor, reactive power, and total harmonic distortion, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed hybrid system.
