• As China getting more industrialized more and
more factories are built, these factories
caused severe smog.
• Smog is a kind of air pollution containing
smoke and fog.
• Smog is can be toxin if breath in too much, can
cause lung cancer.
• Harmful to the environments and human
health.
3. Affect
• Smog can lead to ozone on lungs, lung cancer
coughing, and throat irritation
• If people have asthma, the high level of ozone
can cause sudden asthma attack
• Smog can also endanger the live of plants and
animals.
• Acid rain may also occur when smog reacts
with water
4. Adaptation
• 1.) Defend- Government will catch people who
burn coals, and try to reduce factory pollution.
• 2.) Measure – There are 36 monitoring points in
Beijing, and they are trying to form a monitoring
web to make sure people are no polluting.
• 3.) Control – People will have to learn how to
control themselves to take a part of the change.
• 4.) Limit – The government will limit coal and
limit traveling cars.
6. Drought
• Drought had been affecting the food industry
and production in China
• Drought in China was caused by light rain and
high temperature
• Underlying reason is the changing of ocean
current and irregular circulation of the
atmosphere
• 33 million tons of crops was lost each year due
the drought
7. Effect
• Drought can effect land and water condition in
surrounding areas.
• Farmers can lose their job
• Food and water supply will decrease causing
inflation.
• Animals and wildlife will resettle to other
environment to search for water.
9. Flood
• One of the biggest flood in Chinese history is the
Yellow River Flood in 1931.
• According to new research, the flood was actually
not a natural disaster, but was caused by human
intervention.
• Large scale of agriculture can cause the decrease
of nutrients within the soil, then less defensive
towards floods.
• Power dams can also be unintentionally causing
floods if the structure was bad.
10. Effect
• Roads, bridges, buildings, houses and farms
can de destroyed.
• Floods can make people homeless and
vulnerable.
• Floods also bring valuable soil away, and
effects harvest.
11. Adaptation
• Always locate your home on a higher ground
• Prepare sandbag- They are cheap, easy to
handle and very sufficient.
• Build the water barrier higher
