The Influence Of The Global Democratic Community Of Nations
itself. Security cooperation initiatives undertaken by USNORTHCOM and USSOUTHCOM are
crucial in the development of viable partners. Despite perceptions to the contrary, Latin America does
exercise its military power globally. In World War II, Brazil deployed an infantry division to the
European theater and Mexico deployed a fighter squadron to the Pacific theater. More recently, El
Salvador conducted multiple troop rotations in Iraq, while Uruguay regularly deploys peacekeeping
forces in Africa. Strengthening alliances and military capabilities make it less likely that a rising
power will risk military confrontation with the United States and its allies.

The Center for Systemic Peace s Polity Project found almost every country that it studied in the region
scored five or more in its democratic scale, with solidly democratic societies such as Costa Rica,
Uruguay, and Chile trending toward the upper ranks. Only Cuba, Haiti, and Venezuela scored poorly.
Likewise, Freedom House graded totalitarian Cuba as the only unfree country in the region. Regional
public opinion surveys point in a similar direction.
This remarkable synergy leads some experts, such as Parag Khanna, to suggest Elevating South
America to its rightful place as the third pillar of the West alongside Europe and North America .
However, if Khanna s vision of a third pillar is to be realized, the United States will need to alleviate
security concerns that plague the region and drain its potential. The region still faces a number of
issues that interfere with its democratic consolidation and potential for global leadership roles.
Because many of these issues are security issues, they are relevant to U.S. national security planning.
The most recent difficulties have been authoritarian politics, in the face of which liberal synergies are
automatically dismantled; and criminal violence that impedes countries from fully realizing their
potential. The United States has had its share of negative experiences trying to work on the first
challenge, but there are ways

The Autobiography of Jeffery Culverson Jr
The autobiography of Jeffery Culverson Jr
Ever since I was a little boy, I had dreams of becoming someone great in life. I always imagined
myself doing wonderous things and traveling the world. I was born Jeffery Lawrence Culverson Jr on
July 29th, 1980 to Tammy Collins and Jeffery Culverson in Las Vegas, Nevada. All though I had big
aspirations as a little boy, I learned quickly in life that what you want is not always what you get. My
parents had three children; two girls and myself, but they were never together while I was growing up.
I was taught the violin and other musical instruments at an early age, but because my mother moved
around a lot I went to many schools, and eventually lost touch with my musical side. I never ... Show

my color of skin. I began to hate myself and others. I almost lost my wife because how my anger took
over my life. I went back to Nevada to clear my head and my wife stayed behind in Florida, while
there, I realized that I was a couple credits from receiving my high school diploma and was really
upset, because I had always thought I graduated. My wife thought I should stay and finish my credits
to get my diploma and she moved back with me while I struggled with the school work. I hadnt been
in school for so long and it seemed so much harder facing the curriculum at my age then. I struggled
and failed, but I kept getting back up and trying again and I did pass and received my high school
diploma. This was very important to me because I didnt want to be just another bum on the street that
didnt do anything with my life. I had big dreams and all though I had left them on the back burner for
a while, they were still there inside me, just waiting for a chance to make them happen. After receiving
my diploma, my wife and I decided to try a different area of Florida and we ended up in Daytona

and decided to focus on my own. My wife and I have always wanted to own our own restaurant and I

How Did Women s Clothing Change Throughout The Civil War
Throughout the Civil War, there were many creative advancements, but one that goes unnoticed a lot
was the growth of fashion. During the war, fashion, though still quite extravagant, was somewhat
more muted. Because there was a war going on, many people had to make sacrifices and save formal
wear for going out to somewhere fancy. But even during war, there was still a clear difference between
those who had money to wear nice clothes and those who did not, and those who lived in the city
versus those who lived in the country. There were many new pieces of fashion developing at the time,
especially with women s clothing. There may have been a war going on, but fashion was still a form
of art that was thriving during that time. In the war, women s clothes were the clothes that differed a
lot from the previous decade or two. These clothes were still formal and extravagant, but they were
less colorful this could be because everyone was mourning / praying for their loved ones.
Nonetheless, women still had ludicrous clothing. First, they would put on 7 layers of underclothes,

morning and early afternoon, but other than that, it was common, everyday wear. Then, there was the
Tailcoat. This is long and sleek, and it for formal wear only. And the last coat was the Sack Coat and

purpose of this coat was to cover a man s shirt sleeves, because if a man showed his sleeves in front of

Operant Conditioning And Observational Learning
In this journal log, I will be explaining 3 theories which are known as Classical Conditioning, Operant
Conditioning and Observational Learning.
The first theory I will be elaborating on is Classical Conditioning (Weiten, 2017). This theory suggests
that anyone is able to subconsciously learn to react physically to a neutral stimulus, something that
originally does not elicit a certain reaction from them, by linking it to certain behaviours, events or
stimuli. In classical conditioning, there is the unconditioned stimulus, unconditioned response,
conditioned stimulus and conditioned response (Weiten, 2017). When I was young, I enjoyed playing
with balloons and was not affected when it burst but I started to fear getting close to blown up ... Show

In operant conditioning, there are reinforcements and punishments. Reinforcements are present to
increase positive behaviour whereas punishments are given to decrease negative behaviour. There are
both positive and negative reinforcements and punishments. Positive reinforcements suggests to
increase the amount of rewards given to increase positive behaviour while negative reinforcements
mean taking away something disturbing away from someone to increase positive behaviour from
them. Positive punishment increases the amount of negativity introduced in the subject s life to reduce
negative behaviour and negative punishment takes away a certain something that is desirable for the
subject to decrease his or her negative behaviour (Weiten, 2017). A personal example of positive
reinforcement is when my mother rewards me for getting good results on my tests by giving me extra
allowance for a week, motivating me to continue to study hard for my future tests. A negative
reinforcement would be when my parents tell my sisters to keep their volumes down while I study to
help me focus on studying. An example of positive punishment is when my co curricular activity
(CCA) coach scolds me for repeating a wrong move in my routine, making me focus on my mistakes
so as to be less careless the next time I execute it. A negative punishment that I have received is my
father restricting me from going out with my friends so as to reduce the amount of money I

Using Visual Stimulation
How Using Visual Stimulation Can Allow Children to Learn Without Being Bored
It all started back in the year of 2000 when I began to teach Sunday school. The children that I taught
were the ages from four years to six years old. I really enjoyed teaching that age group at the time.
Every week I would read them the Bible lesson for that week. I used the expression in my voice to try
to make the lesson interesting. Also, I had an assistant teacher who would do all types of arts and craft
projects with them. This begins to get boring to me week after week. I started to thinking about how I
can teach in a different way. Children in this age group have a short attention span. One day while

do not pass through the blood vessels smoothly cutting off oxygen. This allows me to teach people of
all ages concerning Sickle Cell awareness. I have been invited to other churches and different types of
events to use the puppets as a teaching tool. I am thankful for this gift and plan to use it more and

India s The Partition Of India
The partition of India is one of the defining chapters in India s entire history. Although many different
reasons caused the partition, political factors were a key player in bringing about this monumental
change in India s borders. The pre existing communal differences between Hindus and Muslims grew
as a result of the fears of both groups losing power and giving up control to the other. The partition
which was supposed to grant freedom and independence for all Indians resulted in creating a deeper
hatred and animosity which would cost countless lives through riots, rape, and mass murder for
decades to come. Gandhi said in actual life, it is impossible to separate us into two nations. We are not
two nations. Every Moslem will have a Hindu name if he goes back far enough in his family history.
Every Moslem is merely a Hindu who has accepted Islam. That does not create nationality. . . . We in
India have a common culture. In the North, Hindi and Urdu are understood by both Hindus and
Moslems. In Madras, Hindus and Moslems speak Tamil, and in Bengal, they both speak Bengali and
neither Hindi nor Urdu. When communal riots take place, they are always provoked by incidents over
cows and by religious processions. That means that it is our superstitions that create the trouble and
not our separate nationalities. He tried to unite all Indians by showing them that having different
religions does not separate Indians and the only path to true independence would be to come

Stress
Stress is something that makes you feel bad and can bring you down everyday. Some stress leads to
depression or mental illness. School, work, sports, and friendships are some the things that keep me
stressed out. After many years of have stress hanging over me, I have finally learned how to handle it
through prayer, and quality time with friends and family.
After I took the Major Life Events Stress assessment, my score came out to be 135. Personally, I feel
like this score is fairly low compared to what it could have been. My score could have easily been
300. In the assessment, it said if your score was 300, then you were at risk of illness. 38 of my points
came from a change in my financial state. The reason I feel like I have had a change in my financial
state is because in the summer and when I am not in school, I can work full time and make a decent
paycheck. Most of the time I either work on our family farm or mow grass. While i am in school I don
t really have a lot of money because I never have time to work. This is very stressful because I am not
the type of person to ask my parents for money, I like to be independent because it makes me feel
better about myself. School usually keeps me stressed out because my parents ... Show more content

Dome of the Rock and Santa Costanza
Christianity and Islam are religions are two of world s most widespread religions. Both religions when
founded were not accepted by the people of that time and they have faced great resistance. Early
Islamic art and early Christian art both are historically important as both are similar in some ways.
The most earliest architecture and first such structure from the Muslims is the Dome of the Rock
located in Jerusalem. When the Muslims conquered the city of Jerusalem in they needed a place
(Mosque) to worship and offer their prayers in congregation. At the same time they also wanted to
build a monument that would show the success of Muslims and their religion Islam. Similarly,

Costana seems newer than the portion below as the lower portion seems more aged than the upper
portion. It has a circular plan and the windows of the clerestory have a double layer of Voussoirs. The
function of the dome of the rock as believed by the Muslims is that the Prophet Muhammed ascension
from the rock to the heaven took here and therefore the site was chosen to mark this important event.
The dome of the rock was completed in a decade in which Muslims lost control of Hijaz and also
Mecca and Medina, and survived serious challenges from religious opposition groups. The location
was previously a temple of Solomon and it is also believed that Prophet Abraham was asked to
sacrifice his son Isaac on this location. This is why it is so important for Muslims, Christians and
Jews. Santa Costanza is also built upon a temple of Saint Agnes and it is believed that his catacombs
are somewhere closely under the church. The Christians used to worship their religion and buried their
dead in secret as at first they were persecuted before Costinanine accepted and gave them respect and
protection. Not until the emperor Constantine proclaimed tolerance for all religions of the Roman

Helicopter Parenting Effect On Children
Many young parents have no idea how to raise their newborn child so they decide to shower it with
everything the child could ever need or want. The same goes for parents who have already had many
kids. They hover over their children like helicopters, this term is known as helicopter parenting.
Helicopter parenting is a method of hovering over one s child, in more or less words. It can come in
many different ways, some parents may just spoil their children, others want to befriend their own
offspring in better words. Helicopter parenting is detrimental to a child because it may shelter them,
cause kids to feel dependent on their parents all the way through adulthood, also on top of that, cause
early signs of depression and/or anxiety. Helicopter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And true, it does, but a child should not be only friends with their parents, a parent s job is to prepare
their child for the real world, not protect them from it their entire life. In a complete turnaround from
one of the points made, some adults believe monitoring one s child may make the child grow up
content. And again as stated before, the child may actually grow up content but severely
underdeveloped for the real world. Thirdly, giving one s child what they want keeps them quiet and
peaceful. Everyone has seen that small young kid that cries when their iphone is taken away, that kid
is the result of that kind of parenting. A child like that will have no idea how to earn what they want.
Sheltering children, over the top dependancy, and worse, signs and symptoms of depression/anxiety
can all be terrible outcomes of helicopter parenting. Everyone needs to know the harm of helicopter
parenting, whether they are a parent or not. A generation of strong, capable, young adults is a better
place to rest the fate of the world. Be careful to help not harm a child, should one be expecting a child
or already a parent, try at the very least to be aware of how a child grows up. (add one more

Kellogg s Case Study
Question One:
There are three key sectors of the supply chain, namely; primary, secondary and tertiary sectors. The
former encompasses all processes and activities geared towards transforming natural resources into
primary products which are then to be used in manufacturing finished products (Choi, 2011). For
instance, the forestry industry falls under the primary sector bearing in mind the fact that it focuses on
transforming a natural resource, i.e. trees, into a primary product (timber).
On the other hand, the secondary sector is concerned with transforming the primary products
generated from the primary sector into finished products. For instance, Kellogg s is a ... Show more

This gives a candid explanation as to why Kellogg s entered into an agreement with Tesco meant to
allow its products to continue being displayed in the latter s stores. Kellogg s collaboration with
tertiary sector entities can also be attributed to its allure in ensuring it continues to purport successful
business activities. For instance, maintaining good relationships with banks makes it possible for the
entity to acquire additional funds to finance its operations or investment activities (Leeman, 2010).
Question Four: The major benefit that can be realized from the decision of large manufactures like
Kellogg s to outsource some its activities to specialist companies like TDG is that of making the
former s supply chain and distribution channels to become more efficient. The achievement of this
objective is usually facilitated through the emphasis of these specialist entities to employ
computerized systems while purporting stock handling and logistic functions for their clients, with this
enhancing the timely and cost efficient delivery of stock in the larger manufacturers retail stores
(Choi, 2011). Moreover, these specialists assist larger firms such as Kellogg s to minimize the
wastages which normally occur within their supply chains, more so through streamlining their
transportation, distribution and storage systems (Leeman,

Essay about The Whiteness of the Whale
The Great White Whale and its Many Meanings Herman Melville, in his epic novel Moby Dick,
utilizes the symbolism of the color of the Great White Whale to demonstrate his theme of duality.
However, Captain Ahab tragically had a single mind set towards Moby Dick, as he believed that the
whale was the symbol of the world s evil and had to be destroyed. On the other hand, Ishmael sees
that the color white can mean many various and opposing things. It would be dangerous to settle upon
any one single meaning. In the chapter, The Whiteness of the Whale, Melville explains the importance
of duality of meaning in the world, as opposed to man s (and Ahab s) desire to see only one meaning
in any one thing. Melville utilizes the symbol of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He believed that the color of white had many meanings to many persons. Ishmael realized that the
color white can represent beauty. Whiteness refiningly enhances beauty, as if imparting some special
virtue of its own, as in marbles, japonicas, and pearls. Another characteristic of the color white is
strength, such as that of the polar bear or the great white shark. Ishmael also said the white can mean
spirited leadership, such as the great white steeds. Contributes to the daily state of kings and queens
drawn by milk white steeds; though even in the higher mysteries of the most august religions is has
been made the symbol of the divine spotlessness an power. Unlike Ahab, Ishmael saw the duality in
white as he also understood that white could also be awesome, even fearsome, as man gazes across the
white wastes of the prairies covered with snow and ice, or the white foaming sea hurled upon the
rocky coasts by a frightful storm. To view his ship sailing through a midnight sea of milky whiteness
as if from encircling headlands shoals of combed white bears. Due to Ishmaels s ability to view the
whiteness of Moby Dick through many viewpoints it secured his survival on the inevitably disastrous
voyage of the Pequod. Melville presents the various meanings of the color white. He shows the reader
that no one thing means anything definitely. The meaning of any object comes from in the values the

I believe that anti realism about the past is false under both construals and I shall defend realism about
the past against them. I obviously take realism to be a modal thesis about the relation between truth
and its recognition, a thesis which says that the truth of statements in the past tense is independent
from the obtaining of the sort of evidence which we normally rely on to recognize that they are true :
testimonies, reports, documents, memories, and so on. It follows from this that the most promising
way of arguing in its favour is to meet the now familiar Dummettian manifestability challenge . This is
what I propose to do here. I shall address that challenge directly and conclude, contrary to Michael
Dummett s anti realist, that (R) is true.
I shall begin with a few words of caution regarding the content of the challenge. It is often taken for
granted that anti realism of the Dummettian variety, either negatively or conditionally construed, is
inferred from the provisional claim that no one has yet managed to show, or has yet even made clear,
how one could manifest an understanding of the meaning of particular instances of (R), instances such
as :
(1) ‡ ( Caesar crossed the Rubicon is true · there is no evidence for Caesar crossed the Rubicon ).
Dummett and other advocates of semantic anti realism like Crispin Wright and Neil Tennant, have
indeed repeatedly insisted that the anti realist s challenge must be met within the theory of meaning,

Summary Of The Prayer Book Of Anne De Bretagne
The prayer book of Anne de Bretagne, painted by the artist Jean Poyer, though containing only thirty
one folios, presents a wealth of material to study and interpret. It is just one of many examples of
religious manuscripts commissioned by Anne that were extremely personalised, and noting each
personalisation provides insight, not only into Jean Poyer s artistic methods, but also into the character
of Anne de Bretagne. Its composition affords an example of the shift in perspective of the purpose of
images, particularly within the context of the end of the 15th century. It also perfectly displays the
logical move in interest from text to image that followed this fascinating transformation in the
perception of images, and the enrichment of images ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The hazy landscape in the image depicting the martyrdom of St. Ursula (Fol. 17v), for example,
displays an attention to detail and accuracy through its aerial perspective, enforced by colours,
particularly blue, all of which are of a lush hue, significantly improving the images believability
through its distribution, accommodating the perspective by increasing the perception of depth. The
landscape in the background adds layers of dimension to the profundity of the field of view in which
the scene takes place, and this is due to the use of lighter colours towards the front, particularly on the
martyrs and their persecutors, and darker hues that only become darker in the background, striking a
contrast between the main figures and their surroundings. The miniature of St. Nicholas (Fol. 14v.) is
just one example of the use of linear perspective in this prayer book. The tiles upon which St.
Nicholas stands provide lines with which the direction of the vanishing point is indicated. The interior
of the building contains what looks like a column, and this, coupled with the strong vertical of the
building itself, further emphasises the rectilinearity of the whole composition. Such miniatures as St.
Catherine Confounding the Doctors (Fol. 19v) illustrate Poyer s use of both aerial

One creative way to get started investing in real estate is to use a lease option. The biggest advantage
of using lease options to invest in real estate is control. This method of investing, basically gives the
investor the right to possess be in control of and profit from a property without owning it.
A real estate lease option contract is a combination of two documents.
The lease part of the contract is where the owner agrees to let you lease their property, while you pay
them rent for a stated period of time. During the lease period, the owner can not raise the rent, rent it
to anyone else, or sell the property to anyone else.
The option part of the contract represents the right you purchased to buy the property in the future, for
a specific price. If you decide to exercise your option to buy, the owner has to sell it to you at the
negotiated price. The option part of the contract obligates the seller to sell to you during the option
period but it does not obligate you to buy. You are only obligated to make rental

Contracting Out Public Service Organization
Contracting out Public Service
Introduction
According to the Organisation for Economic Co operation and Development, many public agencies in
the recent years followed the contracting out trend (Organisation for Economic Co operation and
Development, 2009). Currently, the private sector performs activities and functions that the public
employee once executed. Some of the services that the government contracted include vehicle towing,
health services, police protection, and solid waste collection. In 1995, a survey that was referred to the
city managers of America s largest cities revealed that only three of the 66 cities that responded to the
investigation had not privatised any city services. Therefore, the problem not only translates to
administration but staffing concerns by many managers.
Contracting Out Government Functions and Services
Given the current international debates on state buildings and adherence to no harm principles, an
exploration of the pitfalls of contracting out state service is timely (Ya Ni Bretschneider, 2007). For
the most part, contracting out is a transitional strategy. External agencies usually execute the most
urgent functions while the state capacity takes them on over time. However, the risk of such
procedures is that they can erode the limited capacity and result in parallel systems of government that
can undermine the legitimacy of the state. As citizens view the vital services that non state actors
execute, the compact between them and

Lacks is still a pressing matter. It also showed us that this type of event does not ever stop affecting
the lives of those around it. Henrietta s family had a reasonably difficult time adjusting to what was
trusted upon them and what they considered to be a true prejudice that forever changed the way they
look at the world. HeLa cells saved millions of people. Yet, most of them remain unaware at the
source of their redemption. Skloot presents to her readers the real live woman, the children who
survived her, and the interaction of race, poverty, science and one of the most important medical
discoveries ever. The characteristic work skillfully puts a human face on the questions surrounded by
the HeLa cell line. I enjoyed learning about the remarkable influence this woman has made to our
scientific advancement. I am hopeful; hopeful that this book will make an impact on the life on
Henrietta Lack s family and their descendants. Hopeful, that the world will begin to understand that
HeLa is not just a name of a cell but came from a living breathing person called Henrietta Lacks. In
the last pages of the book, I mourned the death of a mother, Deborah, but wished to see her wish come
true; that her children and grandchildren would have more opportunities and a

My Scariest Experience With Teenagers
Teenagers like to make their own decisions rather than their parents making their decisions for them.
At a certain age they think their parents opinions do not matter. Last summer when I had my scariest
experience, I learned to listen to my parents opinions and to not be rebellious. I lived in Moulton
Branch, a peaceful, quiet neighborhood where all one would hear were the birds singing in the day and
crickets chirping at night. I lived in the neighborhood for about four years before we had moved. The
house beside us was vacant for about two and a half years until my friend moved in. I had known her
since I was a minor. Her moving next to us was a big surprise. We would go to each other s house
every day and gossip about the previous school year and how we were excited about the next year. My
mom thought she was a bad influence on me and did not want me hanging with her. Of course I
thought it was nothing bad about her, except she did not dress according to her age. I continued
hanging out with her because she was the only person I knew in the neighborhood and staying in the
house all day was boring. Being rebellious and disobedient can lead to something dangerous. One day
after my mom had left for work I went next door to my friend s house. Her house was like my house.
It was clean and had a freshening scent so I felt comfortable like I was at home. Her mom was also
like another mother to me. She asked if I wanted to have a movie night where we would watch movies

Improving Quality And Safety For Patient Safety
The Role of the Leader in Evaluating Data to Improve Quality and Safety
Patient safety is a growing concern among healthcare professionals and the public (Goh, Chan,
Kuziemsky, 2013). As professional nurses, it is our duty to demonstrate improved safety for our
patients, visitors and guests to the facilities in which we serve. It is also our duty to prevent adverse
events and to view unfortunate incidents as learning opportunities to achieve a holistic view of patient
care. By improving patient safety, we accept responsibility for more positive patient outcomes and a
successful hospital stay. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the importance of data evaluation and
interpretation to improve patient quality and safety.

In reviewing the data set provided for this study, a large number of falls occurred between the hours of
3 a.m. and 7 a.m. This is the time that a phlebotomist typically enters the room for a morning blood
draw or the nurse wakes the patient for a vital sign check. The patients are still in a daze, and it is
possible after the clinical personnel leaves, the patient tries to climb out of bed unattended, resulting in
a fall (Stempniak, 2015). Lee (2015), states You disturb them, wake them up and they re groggy; then
they try to get up and go to the restroom by themselves. They overestimate their ability to function and
walk, resulting in a fall (Stempniak, 2015).
In addition to the falls data, the Walden University case study (2015) reported One full time employee
(FTE) of nursing assistants was moved from the night shift to the evening shift (Data Dashboard,
2015). This change in staff may contribute to the increased falls seen during the overnight hours. An
extra nursing assistant would be helpful as a variable rounder, someone to help the nurses and other
nursing assistants respond quickly if a patient s call bell is ringing or the patient is in distress.
Our report shows an increase in fall risks from 7 am to 11 am daily. This time coincides with patient
care, where nursing staff may be attending to one individual patient, often

Tales From The Mekong Delta Essay
Everything turns a beautiful blue. Sights, sounds, touch, and mind sets are changed. Creativity flows
freely from your mind to the hand to the pen and to the paper. This blue is the blue that knows you and
where you live and it s never going to forget (107). The blue is the fix and excitement an addict gets
from drugs. Addicts look for an escape. They feel that if they just have that hit they will enjoy life and
its experiences to a fuller extent. In Kate Braverman s short story Tall Tales From the Mekong Delta,
she describes one woman s struggle with drugs and how she eventually turns back to them after being
sober for so many years. Through examining the changing appearance of Lenny, her longing for

A Report On The Automotive Industry Essay
1. INTRODUCTION
The automotive industry in India is one of the largest automotive markets in the world, previously one
of the fastest growing markets globally. It started out as a small venture in the 1940s but witnessed a
rapid growth with the entry of some big manufacturers like Mahindra Mahindra and Maruti in mid and
late 1900s. In 2000, this industry became an important sector of the Indian economy and a major
foreign exchange earner for the country.
The Shiv group was one of the largest industrial groups in India at this time established in the early
1900s. With the ownership of 20 companies and a turnover of US $1 billion, they were market leaders
in the sectors like tea, auto parts, electronics, finance, pharmaceuticals etc. In 2000, Shiv industry was
going through a rough phase experiencing a continuous loss. The key reasons were its inability to cope
up with the changing needs and competitive scenario due to internationalization of this market. The
challenges of quality based competition in high tech product market and price based competition in
low tech product market became a big concern for Shiv s management.
2. PROBLEM STATEMENT 1
Globalization of automotive industry
Although Shiv industries excelled in automobile industries, but the changing global trends in this
industry was a key concern for Shiv s management. Due to internationalization of this market, the

Poor Electricity Supply And Lack Of Internet Connectivity
3.1. 3 Poor Electricity Supply and Lack of Internet Connectivity
Lack of constant supply of electricity has also been identified by many researchers as a major barrier
to a successful wider implementation and adoption of EHR in this region (Oluoch, et al., 2012;
Awokola, et al., 2012; Pantuvo et al., 2011). For instance, Awokola and colleagues reported that for
many months, they could not use the EHR consistently because of constant power outage. On some
occasions, the power packs in some central processing units of the table top computers got damaged
and had to be replaced. In addition, Pantuvo et al. (2011) stated that many hospitals in this region do
not have access to constant electricity supply. In fact, many hospitals depend mainly on the alternative
power supply commonly called generator for their operations. Due to the infrastructure problems
throughout the country and lack of guarantee of always on internet connection or even ensure an
uninterrupted electrical supply, nationwide adoption/ wider implementation of EHR in Nigeria may
not be possible (Chaplin et al., 2015). Furthermore, the study conducted on the use of health
information and communication technologies (HICTs) by health workers in seven state hospitals and a
private hospital in the North Eastern Zone, Ogun State, Nigeria. Reported that only one of the
hospitals examined was connected to the internet and none of them have a website (Ajiboye, Adekoya,

Fighting for Our Lives Essay
Fighting for Our Lives offers great insight into the current state of public dialogue. Deborah Tannen
describes how our public interactions have increasingly become warlike , in the way we discuss ideas,
the way we cover the news, and the way we settle disputes. She observes that an adversarial approach
has become the standard as much in public dialogue as it has in just about anything we need to
accomplish . Although she concedes that conflict and opposition are as necessary as cooperation and
agreement , she believes that the balance has been tipped in recent years. An argument culture has
pervaded American culture, and the consequences are real.

Washington may think that saying anything about the other side, no matter how false, is just part of the
game. But it is precisely such politics that has stopped either party from helping the American people.
Worse yet, it is sowing further division among our citizens and further distrust in our government.
It is clear that right fighting can have especially serious consequences in the public sector. At best, it
makes it difficult to respect our leadership; at worst, it can debilitate our government.
The argument culture is also pervasive in news and talk shows. Think Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, or
even Jerry Springer. Rush Limbaugh has been so successful in criticizing and attacking, well, any
person, policy or point of view that is not right , that he s been called the de facto leader of the
Republican Party . While the driving force behind Limbaugh (and other personalities like him) is
ostensibly based on differences in principle and ideology, I am inclined to suspect that it has more to
do with power, fame, personal pride, and even money.
So, why are Americans so hell bent to be right? American society is inherently competitive. We are
socialized to believe in polarity. Our moral system tells us that there is always RIGHT and WRONG.

The Membrane Potential Between Outside And The Inside Cell...
Option 2:
The resting membrane potential is the difference between the outside and the inside cell membrane
polarity. It is called a resting potential because it occurs when a membrane is not being stimulated or
conducting impulses (Ritchison n.d.). This polarity can be measured and it is about 70mv. In the
resting membrane potential, outside the cell has a more positive polarity and inside the cell has more
negative polarity. There are more Na+ and Cl on the outside and larger negative proteins (because they
cannot go through the tiny pores to outside) and more K+ inside the cell (Ceballos, 2016).
Diffusion, electrostatic pressure, and sodium potassium pump are the main forces affecting the resting
membrane potential. Diffusion and electrostatic pressure work against the resting membrane potential
and sodium potassium pump help the resting potential. Diffusion occurs if there is a concentration
gradient present and the molecules move from the higher concentration to the lower concentration.
Electrostatic pressure work as simple as a magnetic effect, which is characterized by the opposite
attraction of. Sodium Potassium pump is an active mechanism and need energy (by food etc.) to work.
In this case, 3 Na+ ions are excluded to the outside of the cell and 2 K+ ions brought into to the cell.
This energy supply occurs through food we eat and they break ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) to ADP
(Adenosine Diphosphate). In action potential, only axon depolarization occurs, not to

Key Role For The User Authentication
Section 1
Introduction:
User Authentication plays the key role for the users to make use of the resources available in any
given Environment. With the advancements in technology, it has become quite easy for a person to
find out ways to access the data of the other person. It is very important to verify the true identity of
the person trying to access his/her data. The concerned organization or the business group has to make
sure that the person trying to access is the right user of the data and care must be taken in such a way
that the resources are not used for the wrong purposes. Making use of the correct resources by the

The Biometric Feature authentication is the simplest method that analyzes the way the user types at
the terminal by monitoring the keyboard inputs and identifies the users based on the habitual typing
rhythm patterns. The core idea behind this approach is that the biometric features are unique to an
individual and they cannot be imitated by any other person and they are unchangeable. The feature
used is Typing Biometrics. After the user types the target string password, Four features (key code,
two keystroke latencies, and key duration) were analyzed, combined and compared against the default
samples which are already present in the adaptive mechanism template of the system, thereby
authenticating the correct user. The advantage of this approach is its low cost, but it is limited to very
few numbers of users and the main disadvantage is that this method is not effective if the length of the
password is less than ten.

Speech On White Privilege
Privilege is a set of unearned benefits given to people who fit into a specific social group .
Any system of privilege be it a family, a workplace, or a society is organized around three basic
principles: dominance, identification, and centeredness .(1)
For example, a system of white privilege, is white dominated. which means the default is for white
people to occupy positions of power . White dominance does not mean that ALL white people are
powerful and it also does not guarantee only success for them or only failure for everybody else. But
the powerful tend to almost always be white, and when a member of a non dominant group occupies a
position of power, it will be the exception to the rule, such as Barack Obama being called the black ...

The Sphinx s Riddle In Oedipus Rex
The meaning of a tragic hero can be interpreted many ways and caused scholarly arguments about the
meaning of a tragic hero. The definition of a tragic hero by Aristotle, a Greek philosopher, is a hero,
one who possesses great or special qualities, but have a hamartia or fated to fail. Oedipus, from the
plays Oedipus Rex and Oedipus at Colonus by Sophocles, was born a noble and has high intelligence
but was fated to kill his father, sleep with his mother, and be driven out by his own country, making
him a tragic hero.
In Oedipus Rex, Oedipus is a king that is loved by his people because he freed them from the monster
Sphinx by solving its riddle. The Sphinx s riddle is a famous riddle known by its difficulty and how no
man was able to solve it but Oedipus; this achievement shows Oedipus s intellect and his compassion
for the people of Thebes. Then, Creon, Oedipus s brother in law, comes back from his trip to the
Temple of Apollo to declare they must drive out the pollution to save their dying land. Oedipus ...

Oedipus was born with special qualities like compassion and intelligence but he made a mistake and

Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 PROBLEM SUMMARY AND INTRODCTION 1.1.1 Problem
summary India is the seventh largest nation with an area of 3.287 million km2. Moreover, it is a
relatively rich and rapidly developing country; for this reason demand for electricity is growing on
significantly average at around 5% annually. In addition, one of the most fascinating aspects of solar
cells is their ability to convert the most abundant and free forms of energy into electricity without
moving parts or components. Also, they do not produce any adverse forms of pollution that affect the
ecosystem. India s rooftop solar capacity addition grew 66 percent from last year to reach 525 mega
watts. The state power grid system has supplied electricity to approximately 80% of the population
living in the state capitals and industrial centres. Based on recent studies, PV technology and
application is economically viable to be adopted in tropical countries like India where it receives more
than 7 hours of direct sunlight each day throughout the year. Hence, India now tends to move on the
new trend of solar energy. To measure the data continuously was not an easy task for earlier

In addition to being a fruit rich in symbolism, there is much plant lore assigned to the apple. Apple

Capital Punishment Is Cruel And Unusual
Although many people believe that capital punishment is cruel and unusual. It is the only punishment
that can truly compensate the loss of a loved one. In recent years, the rate of serious crimes has
increased. The increase of crime is the result of less effective punishment. Dating back to early
civilizations, capital punishment, also known as the death penalty, was viewed as an effective
punishment. Yet today s society it is viewed as cruel and inhumane. I believe that capital punishment
should be executed more often because; the rate of serious crime will decrease, free up prison space,
and would serve as the ultimate warning. What is capital punishment? Capital punishment is the
lawful way to take a person s life, once convicted of a serious crime, such as first degree murder.
Some people agree it is the most appropriate punishment to all vile murder cases (Williams), but
others call it cruel and unconstitutional. There are a variety of methods in the death penalty. The
method used most would be lethal injections, due to its quickness, effectiveness, and pain less results.
My first reason why I believe the death penalty should be executed more often is because it could
possibly help the problem of overcrowding in prisons. States such as Texas and California, mainly
suffer from this problem due to its vast population and crime rate. Instead of keeping inmates for life
in prison, its better to execute the one s with the most serious crimes than to release them or

Who Is Leon Trotsky In The Allegory Animal Farm

Trotsky as the pig Snowball, a leader in the Animal Revolution. There are three important facts about
Trotsky that made George Orwell pick him as Snowball. The Russian Revolution, after war and his
relation with Snowball is why George Orwell chose Trotsky. First is the Russian Revolution. Before
the revolution, Trotsky became a member of the Menshevik Faction. Then he came to Russia in 1917
after he escaped the St. Peter Soviet of 1903. He joined the revolution despite Lenin s disagreements
and Trotsky had a theory of a permanent revolution ( Leon Trotsky ). In the revolution, he at first was

The War Of Versailles Between The Allies And Germany
At the beginning of 1919 all eyes were turned towards Paris. The city was to become the main focal
point for the world s population. This was where the peace talks were to be held to draw a close to the
First World War, the war to end all wars. World leaders from 32 countries converged on Paris armed
with the demands for their countries reparation. The Big Three participants of the peace talks wanted
more than just reparation. For six months the world s most powerful and influential men met every
day arguing, then discussing, then arguing again. Deals were made, various treaties drawn up and new
countries and organisations were created, the decisions made between January and June 1919 were the
most important. This demonstration of power, debate and decision making had never been seen before
nor would it be seen ever again. The treaty was signed at the Palace of Versailles between the Allies
and Germany. The three most important politicians there were David Lloyd George representing Great
Britain, Georges Clemenceau for France and Woodrow Wilson, president of the United States of
America. The victors from World War One were in no mood to be charitable to the defeated nations
and Germany in particular was held responsible for the war and its consequences.

Essay on Streptococcus Pneumoniae
In accordance with the World Health Organization, pneumonia still remains one of the main killers of
children under the age of five, taking more than 1.1 million lives of boys and girls annually (WHO

well known that pneumonia is a disease of respiratory system that affects the alveoli, which are the
constituent part of the lungs. Normally alveoli fill with air during the breath of a healthy person, while
the one with pneumonia has alveoli, which are filled with fluid and pus; hence the breathing process is

S. pneumoniae is capnophilic, preferring atmospheres of 5 10% carbon dioxide. Streptococcus
pneumoniae can be distinguished from other streptococci, owing to the fact that it is catalase negative;
can be inhibited by ethyl hydrocupreine; it is soluble in bile (due to activation of autolytic property,
which consequently lead to cell lysis); it is α haemolytic (it can be easily identified on agar plates, due
to greenish discoloration of blood agar due to the production of pneumolysin) (Balakrishnan, 2006).
S. pneumoniae has some distinct virulence factors, which are proteins/enzymes that are expressed on
the surface of gram positive organisms. They are also the main contributors to the pathogenic
character of the bacterium and its survival against the host defense mechanisms. According to Poll et
al. (2009) virulence factors should be used in array, in order to be successful in coordinating ways for
the tissue invasion. Some of the most important virulence properties are the adherence factors, genes
responsible for invasion, some heavy metal transporters, evasion the immune system of the host,
production of pneumolysin and bacteriocin, quorum sensing and formation of biofilms. Some
centuries ago, S. pneumoniae s polysaccharide capsule was considered to be the primary virulence
factor, due to the fact that the capsule is crucial for colonization, invasion and dissemination from the

finally got half the spoon in his mouth and just when I thought he took the pudding, he spit out the
entire thing onto his shirt and arm and started wiping the pudding off his mouth with his sheet. My
clinical instructor told me to stop trying and that he would get the nurse to try and finish giving him
what was left.
I was having a lot of thoughts and emotions while this episode was unfolding. There was of course the
fear of the patient that everyone in the hospital was trying to hurt him, and there was also my fear that
if he would not get his anti seizure medications, he would seize in the next few hours and that would
be my fault. I also did not like the response of my clinical instructor to the whole situation. Instead

Lolita In Tehran
The fight for freedom is the fight that people of the past and the present are trying to win. A fight
where the result are endless options. In the texts I have a dream by Martin Luther King Jr, Persepolis 2
by Marjane Satrapi, and Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi the demand for freedom is shown
through the thoughts and worries of the people. Martin Luther King Jr believes that people of colors
haven t really been given freedom, even though they re no longer slaves. In his speech Luther King
made a very important point about what we define as freedom . But one hundred years later, the Negro
still is not free: one hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of
segregation and the chains of discrimination (King 48). This paragraph illustrates the point that
freedom is not given, but something we have to fight for, a prime example is the people of colors in
America. He also said that there will be no peace until the people of colors ... Show more content on

In the text Nafisi talks about how Sanaz the main character had to changed her gestures to be
unnoticed, so people who are known as the Blood of God don t catch her small act of rebellion such as
wearing a bright orange shirt underneath her black robe. It is her best interest not to be seen, not be
heard or noticed (Nafisi 82). This paints a picture that shows how women in Iran had their freedom
taken away from them, even though they re ancestors and they, themselves were born with it. Nafisi
also made a point about how people are brainwashed into believing that being tell what they could
wear and could not wear was what freedom looked like. ...quotations from Khomeini and a group

Negative Images In Technicolor
Television has been used for decades to shape the human psyche. It has also played a major role in the
development of American lives, and at times we fail to notice. People are sheep. TV is the shepherd.
(Jess C. Scott, Literary Heroin (Gluttony): A Twilight Parody). Often times we use television as an
escape route, a tube to pull us away from the pains of our true reality, but what are we escaping? TV is
a hypnotic box of propaganda, used to program American morals and values. Negative images in
Technicolor has blurred the lines of our perceptions. TV is the piece of technology developed to
control the minds off the masses through social, economic, and political order.
Since the inception of television, obesity rates have increased dramatically ... Show more content on

It s a world where Hollywood can make you believe anything, even that you are free. It s a world in
which the prosecutor and the judge share the same side of the bench. The most obvious reason that our
minds are being controlled on a massive scale psychologically, is because our culture has been
conditioned by the television, radios, and newspapers. We are given world reality through a screen,
some ink, or radio waves. The truth is hiding in plain sight. The indoctrination through these mediums
warns us that views other than those presented by them are unimportant and too be condemned. This
presidential administration and media monopoly have a carefully crafted dehumanization program for
anyone that dissents the official version of events. If you choose to travel the road to the truth, then
you must be prepared for the obstacles that await you. You may be condemned or criticized by your
family, your friends, your lovers, even your co workers. This is their programming that began at birth
that is doing exactly what it s supposed to do. We have to be mentally stronger than past generations.
We must realize that there is a reality that exists outside of this controlled artificial

Examples Of Gender Bias In Julius Caesar
In sexism, gender bias has existed throughout history and still exists today. Gender bias is frequently
called sexism or gender discrimination. A study by four researchers, Kelly Jones, Cay Evans, Ronald
Byrd, and Kathleen Campbell, analyzed videotapes of teachers while they taught the students in the
classroom, then they had the teachers watch themselves on the video while pointing out the gender
biased attitudes, languages and behavior; most teachers were surprised to see how they gave their
attention on one gender over the other and the unintentional gender bias happening in the classroom
(A World of Gender Bias, 2015). Researchers recommended methods for the teachers to use when
having to do an activity to decrease the stereotypical behavior ... Show more content on

Sexism puts a barrier on what society views as acceptable for a man and woman to do. It also may be
true that men and women are not necessarily equal physically. Men are scientifically proven are
stronger than women physically in terms of muscles and athletic ability. Men are physically stronger
than women, who have, on the average, less total muscle mass, to the total body mass and men also
have denser, stronger bones, tendons and ligaments (Burton, 2012). Men tend to be larger than women
in size which makes them tend to carry out more muscles and more muscles normally points toward
having more strength than women. But on the other hand, people should approach fairness and not
equality because sexism has negative impacts on the people which causes them to commit suicide. In
Antigone, Antigone was a strong, courageous and an independent person and there was no definite
evidence that Antigone was strong and brave person but based on what the readers gather from the
play Antigone seems psychologically capable of the things that she did more than the other characters.
The leading cause of death of women ages 15 to 19 worldwide is suicide and the most expected reason
is sexism and gender discrimination (Valenti, 2015). In Antigone, Antigone buries her brother because
she believes what she is doing is right so she does it but gets punished because she did what she
believed in which

Disposable People Summary
In Disposable People, Kevin Bales tells the story of one man working as a slave in a Pakistani brick
kiln: His brother in law had left the kiln in search of better work, as a result this man was taken
captive by the owner of the kiln where the brother in law had worked. I had never been to this kiln
before in my life and I had never worked there; I didn t owe this man any money ... The kiln owner
just said that was tough, he was holding my brother and me as ransom against my brother in law s
debt. At the kiln they made me work and told me that if I tried to escape they would beat me or shoot
me. Bales also describes how victims are entrapped in charcoal production in Brazil: Recruiters, called

Summary Of Socrates Cave
At the beginning of Book Seven, in an attempt to better describe the education of the philosopher
Socrates begins to set up an analogy with an ascent and descent into the cave . In Socrates cave
analogy there was a group of people who were from childhood held in a dimly lit underground cave.
The people were kept there in bonds that were designed to allow them to only what was in front of
them by depriving them of the ability to turn their heads around. Also present in Socrates cave was a
certain wall or partition separating the prisoners from another group of people who simply walked
along a path carrying statues shaped after all that of beings and occasionally uttering sounds as the
others remained quiet. The shadows of the statues ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The final phase Socrates says the prisoner will go through will be his studying of the heavens by this
point he believes the prisoner will be able to himself come up with conclusions regard the sun as the
source of the seasons and the years (516c) and simply the cause for all he now sees and all he once
saw. According to Socrates the prisoner will eventually recall the lifestyle and the people he left
behind and began to feel a sense of pity for them but will cherish experience he has received on the
surface. He says that if the prisoner were to ever return to the cave he would face the pain of having to
readjust to the light in the cave and the ridicule of the prisoner who will see him as someone who has
lost sight of the truth instead of the newly enlightened soul he is. It seems to me that Socrates has set
up each part of this analogy to represent a separate part of the philosophers struggle toward truly
becoming a philosopher and achieving the study of philosophy. The cave itself seems to represent the
societal norms that will be forced upon the upcoming philosopher from birth. While the philosopher is
being brought up knowing only one thing as the truth he must find the strength to break himself free of
the chains that bind him to the non philosophical souls of society and begin to question what is known
as truth .

Chevre Research Paper
Chevre is a goat s cheese with a delicate, tart flavor that compliments many dishes. It is commonly
used in pasta dishes, usually as a filling or sauce. However, it s creamy texture and earthy flavor give
it a wide range of uses. One of the best ways to use fresh chevre is as an appetizer. Here are five ways
to use fresh chevre as an appetizer: 1. Finger Sandwiches A common appetizer for tea parties or
brunches are finger sandwiches. Although they commonly use cream cheese or pimento cheese as a
filling, fresh chevre is a good alternative. You can pair the cheese with cucumber slices, basil, and
mint for a traditional finger sandwich. For something with a bit more of a punch, pair the cheese with
crunchy pecans. Both serve well with a glass ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The creamy texture pairs wonderfully with the crunchy bread. It can be paired with a wide assortment
of things for a fun and flavorful topping. Pair the cheese with red peppers, olive oil, and sun dried
tomatoes for a savory appetizer. You could also pair the cheese with citrus zest, flavored oils, or
whatever your heart desires. If you want something on the sweeter side, pair it with preserves and
honey. 3. Stuffed Figs or Dates Stuffed appetizers are the perfect finger food for dinner parties or
brunches. Pair the fresh chevre with figs or dates for a sweet and savory appetizer. Fill figs with the
cheese and chopped rosemary. Wrap in prosciutto or bacon and bake until warm. Drizzle with aged
balsamic for an even bigger flavor. If you prefer dates, simply fill them with the cheese and bake until
warm. Both are easy and tasty appetizers. 4. Baked Dip You could also use the fresh chevre to make a
warm dip for crackers. Mix the fresh chevre with cream cheese, diced tomatoes, and basil. Bake in hot
oven until warm and bubbly. Top with some olive oil immediately before serving, and serve with any
type of cracker you like. 5. Stuffed

Isaiah Thesis
Isaiah was a major prophet that lived in the 8th century when the Babylonian Exile happens which is
the single most important event in the history of the bible s formation. Isaiah was a guy that was so
connected to God and a guy that have a big passion for his God. Isaiah s work was written in Prophet
Isaiah which is one of the biggest bible book. The book of the isaiah was written in three sections
which are before the Exile, during the exile, and after the exile ended. The key themes for this book is
sin lead to suffering, God s power/authority, and the redemption that can be found in suffering.
I believe that Isaiah was a prophet because the bible sated him as one of the three major prophets

Madame Bovary, By Gustave Flaubert
In the classic literary novel Madame Bovary, by Gustave Flaubert, is the family of Bovary s in which
Charles and Emma Bovary are the focal point in the story. The setting of the story takes place in
France during the 1700s where class distinctions were prominent. In this novel, there is a theme
surrounding the idea of the social class hierarchy. In the world of Madame Bovary, Emma is stuck in
conflict with the middle class of the bourgeoisie, and between the upper and lower bourgeoisie, and
the working class who are the proletariats. Even though Emma Bovary may just be a desperate
romantic looking for love and is trying to live a romanticized life from the novels she read when she
was younger, the lives of the Bovary s are affected by the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As these sequences of events are told from Madame Bovary, Emma is trying to raise herself into the
upper bourgeoisie class where wealth, power, intelligence, and the arts lie. As described by Karl Marx
and Friedrich Engles in the Communist Manifesto, The bourgeoisie has torn away from the family its
sentimental veil, and has reduced the family relation to mere money relation. (8) In my own opinion,
these two are talking about how being in the bourgeoisie class breaks down family relationships and
values, and becomes more of a focus on obtaining the means of greater status and wealth. In Emma
Bovary s case, she begins to neglect her own daughter Berthe, and takes advantage of Charles s
naiveness to try and meet up with her lovers (Both Leon and Rudolph). This also puts the Bovary
family into debt as Emma keeps expenditure high to achieve a lifestyle she wants. This can be seen
when she makes trips and buys gifts to go see Leon in Paris.
By building up the family debt, it puts the Bovary into the lower bourgeoisie class. Emma has sold
several of their belongings and even the rights to Charles s family estate. In part, she also has taken
out loans from Lheureus, which has been taking advantage of Emma s desperation to see her lover
Leon. In part three, chapter seven of Madame Bovary, we learn that the officers come to the Bovary s
house in Yonville to

Film Techniques In The Book 1984
In today s society the idea of watching a film about a specific group of people and trying to brainwash
the people by the government would have a lot of people outraged and demand for our freedom from
the government, but in the book 1984 that s exactly what the government is doing so everyone is
against Emmanuel Goldstein and his followers. The people of Oceania express all the hate they have
in a 2 minute film. The government uses there own way of techniques to try to brainwash the mass
and the people who most really use reasoning or can t think on their own. The government also has
there own way of making people stay quiet and not rebel like hiring thought police. Thought police

New Solar Power Generation System Essay
This paper proposes a new solar power generation system, which is composed of a dc/dc power
converter and a new seven level inverter. The dc/dc power converter integrates a dc dc boost converter
and a transformer to convert the output voltage of the solar cell array into two independent voltage
sources with multiple relationships. This new seven level inverter is configured using a capacitor
selection circuit and a full bridge power converter, connected in cascade. The capacitor selection
circuit converts the two output voltage sources of dc dc power converter into a three level dc voltage,
and the full bridge power converter further converts this three level dc voltage into a seven level ac
voltage. In this way, the proposed solar power generation system generates a sinusoidal output current
that is in phase with the utility voltage and is fed into the utility. The salient features of the proposed
seven level inverter are that only six power electronic switches are used, and only one power
electronic switch is switched at high frequency at any time. A prototype is developed and tested to
verify the performance of this proposed solar power generation system.
Keywords Grid connected, multilevel inverter, pulse width modulated (PWM) inverter.

Interdependence On Canada
Canada has always been dependent on the United States Pierre Trudeau once said, Living next to you
(the United States) is in some ways like sleeping with an elephant. No matter how friendly and even
tempered is the beast, if I can call it that, one is affected by every twitch and grunt. This saying gives a
deep understanding of what Canada s relationship with the States was like. The U.S. is a country that
has flourished throughout history and Canada was right behind. The U.S has almost 10 times more the
population than Canada. So, Canada has depended on the U.S for simple things such as getting tourists
from them to visit Canada. It is evident that Canada s dependence on the U.S, was higher than
America s dependence on Canada. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The isolationism policy was an approach to not get involved in any world affairs. This was initially
used by the United States during the Great Depression. However, Canada was so dependent on the
U.S. that they used the same policy. Another example of their dependence on the U.S. was during the
Vietnam War. Canada depended on the U.S. by selling 2.7 billion dollars of war materials so that it
would help them financially. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), is a great example of
how Canada depended on the U.S. Both the countries were afraid of the Soviet Union attacking, so
NATO helped with Canada and the U.S coming together to protect themselves from the Soviet Union
from attacking. If Canada wasn t dependant on the States, they would have dealt with the conflicts
they had with the Soviet Union on their own. The U.S has a great effect on Canada s decisions when it
comes to international

  • 2. The Influence Of The Global Democratic Community Of Nations itself. Security cooperation initiatives undertaken by USNORTHCOM and USSOUTHCOM are crucial in the development of viable partners. Despite perceptions to the contrary, Latin America does exercise its military power globally. In World War II, Brazil deployed an infantry division to the European theater and Mexico deployed a fighter squadron to the Pacific theater. More recently, El Salvador conducted multiple troop rotations in Iraq, while Uruguay regularly deploys peacekeeping forces in Africa. Strengthening alliances and military capabilities make it less likely that a rising power will risk military confrontation with the United States and its allies. Expanding (and Consolidating) the Global Democratic Community of Nations The Liberal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Center for Systemic Peace s Polity Project found almost every country that it studied in the region scored five or more in its democratic scale, with solidly democratic societies such as Costa Rica, Uruguay, and Chile trending toward the upper ranks. Only Cuba, Haiti, and Venezuela scored poorly. Likewise, Freedom House graded totalitarian Cuba as the only unfree country in the region. Regional public opinion surveys point in a similar direction. This remarkable synergy leads some experts, such as Parag Khanna, to suggest Elevating South America to its rightful place as the third pillar of the West alongside Europe and North America . However, if Khanna s vision of a third pillar is to be realized, the United States will need to alleviate security concerns that plague the region and drain its potential. The region still faces a number of issues that interfere with its democratic consolidation and potential for global leadership roles. Because many of these issues are security issues, they are relevant to U.S. national security planning. The most recent difficulties have been authoritarian politics, in the face of which liberal synergies are automatically dismantled; and criminal violence that impedes countries from fully realizing their potential. The United States has had its share of negative experiences trying to work on the first challenge, but there are ways ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I always imagined myself doing wonderous things and traveling the world. I was born Jeffery Lawrence Culverson Jr on July 29th, 1980 to Tammy Collins and Jeffery Culverson in Las Vegas, Nevada. All though I had big aspirations as a little boy, I learned quickly in life that what you want is not always what you get. My parents had three children; two girls and myself, but they were never together while I was growing up. I was taught the violin and other musical instruments at an early age, but because my mother moved around a lot I went to many schools, and eventually lost touch with my musical side. I never ... I went back to Nevada to clear my head and my wife stayed behind in Florida, while there, I realized that I was a couple credits from receiving my high school diploma and was really upset, because I had always thought I graduated. My wife thought I should stay and finish my credits to get my diploma and she moved back with me while I struggled with the school work. I hadnt been in school for so long and it seemed so much harder facing the curriculum at my age then. I struggled and failed, but I kept getting back up and trying again and I did pass and received my high school diploma. This was very important to me because I didnt want to be just another bum on the street that didnt do anything with my life. I had big dreams and all though I had left them on the back burner for a while, they were still there inside me, just waiting for a chance to make them happen. After receiving my diploma, my wife and I decided to try a different area of Florida and we ended up in Daytona Beach. All though there was still racism around us, I realized I couldn t control other people s ideals and decided to focus on my own. • 4. How Did Women s Clothing Change Throughout The Civil War Throughout the Civil War, there were many creative advancements, but one that goes unnoticed a lot was the growth of fashion. During the war, fashion, though still quite extravagant, was somewhat more muted. Because there was a war going on, many people had to make sacrifices and save formal wear for going out to somewhere fancy. But even during war, there was still a clear difference between those who had money to wear nice clothes and those who did not, and those who lived in the city versus those who lived in the country. There were many new pieces of fashion developing at the time, especially with women s clothing. There may have been a war going on, but fashion was still a form of art that was thriving during that time. In the war, women s clothes were the clothes that differed a lot from the previous decade or two. These clothes were still formal and extravagant, but they were less colorful this could be because everyone was mourning / praying for their loved ones. Nonetheless, women still had ludicrous clothing. First, they would put on 7 layers of underclothes, starting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 5. Operant Conditioning And Observational Learning In this journal log, I will be explaining 3 theories which are known as Classical Conditioning, Operant Conditioning and Observational Learning. The first theory I will be elaborating on is Classical Conditioning (Weiten, 2017). This theory suggests that anyone is able to subconsciously learn to react physically to a neutral stimulus, something that originally does not elicit a certain reaction from them, by linking it to certain behaviours, events or stimuli. In classical conditioning, there is the unconditioned stimulus, unconditioned response, conditioned stimulus and conditioned response (Weiten, 2017). In operant conditioning, there are reinforcements and punishments. Reinforcements are present to increase positive behaviour whereas punishments are given to decrease negative behaviour. There are both positive and negative reinforcements and punishments. Positive reinforcements suggests to increase the amount of rewards given to increase positive behaviour while negative reinforcements mean taking away something disturbing away from someone to increase positive behaviour from them. Positive punishment increases the amount of negativity introduced in the subject s life to reduce negative behaviour and negative punishment takes away a certain something that is desirable for the subject to decrease his or her negative behaviour (Weiten, 2017). A personal example of positive reinforcement is when my mother rewards me for getting good results on my tests by giving me extra allowance for a week, motivating me to continue to study hard for my future tests. A negative reinforcement would be when my parents tell my sisters to keep their volumes down while I study to help me focus on studying. An example of positive punishment is when my co curricular activity (CCA) coach scolds me for repeating a wrong move in my routine, making me focus on my mistakes so as to be less careless the next time I execute it. A negative punishment that I have received is my father restricting me from going out with my friends so as to reduce the amount of money I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Using Visual Stimulation How Using Visual Stimulation Can Allow Children to Learn Without Being Bored It all started back in the year of 2000 when I began to teach Sunday school. The children that I taught were the ages from four years to six years old. I really enjoyed teaching that age group at the time. Every week I would read them the Bible lesson for that week. I used the expression in my voice to try to make the lesson interesting. Also, I had an assistant teacher who would do all types of arts and craft projects with them. This begins to get boring to me week after week. I started to thinking about how I can teach in a different way. Children in this age group have a short attention span. • 7. India s The Partition Of India The partition of India is one of the defining chapters in India s entire history. Although many different reasons caused the partition, political factors were a key player in bringing about this monumental change in India s borders. The pre existing communal differences between Hindus and Muslims grew as a result of the fears of both groups losing power and giving up control to the other. The partition which was supposed to grant freedom and independence for all Indians resulted in creating a deeper hatred and animosity which would cost countless lives through riots, rape, and mass murder for decades to come. Gandhi said in actual life, it is impossible to separate us into two nations. We are not two nations. Every Moslem will have a Hindu name if he goes back far enough in his family history. Every Moslem is merely a Hindu who has accepted Islam. That does not create nationality. . . . We in India have a common culture. In the North, Hindi and Urdu are understood by both Hindus and Moslems. In Madras, Hindus and Moslems speak Tamil, and in Bengal, they both speak Bengali and neither Hindi nor Urdu. When communal riots take place, they are always provoked by incidents over cows and by religious processions. That means that it is our superstitions that create the trouble and not our separate nationalities. He tried to unite all Indians by showing them that having different religions does not separate Indians and the only path to true independence would be to come ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

School, work, sports, and friendships are some the things that keep me stressed out. After many years of have stress hanging over me, I have finally learned how to handle it through prayer, and quality time with friends and family. After I took the Major Life Events Stress assessment, my score came out to be 135. Personally, I feel like this score is fairly low compared to what it could have been. My score could have easily been 300. In the assessment, it said if your score was 300, then you were at risk of illness. 38 of my points came from a change in my financial state. The reason I feel like I have had a change in my financial state is because in the summer and when I am not in school, I can work full time and make a decent paycheck. Most of the time I either work on our family farm or mow grass. While i am in school I don t really have a lot of money because I never have time to work. Both religions when founded were not accepted by the people of that time and they have faced great resistance. Early Islamic art and early Christian art both are historically important as both are similar in some ways. The most earliest architecture and first such structure from the Muslims is the Dome of the Rock located in Jerusalem. When the Muslims conquered the city of Jerusalem in they needed a place (Mosque) to worship and offer their prayers in congregation. It has a circular plan and the windows of the clerestory have a double layer of Voussoirs. The function of the dome of the rock as believed by the Muslims is that the Prophet Muhammed ascension from the rock to the heaven took here and therefore the site was chosen to mark this important event. The dome of the rock was completed in a decade in which Muslims lost control of Hijaz and also Mecca and Medina, and survived serious challenges from religious opposition groups. The location was previously a temple of Solomon and it is also believed that Prophet Abraham was asked to sacrifice his son Isaac on this location. This is why it is so important for Muslims, Christians and Jews. Santa Costanza is also built upon a temple of Saint Agnes and it is believed that his catacombs are somewhere closely under the church. • 10. Helicopter Parenting Effect On Children Many young parents have no idea how to raise their newborn child so they decide to shower it with everything the child could ever need or want. The same goes for parents who have already had many kids. They hover over their children like helicopters, this term is known as helicopter parenting. Helicopter parenting is a method of hovering over one s child, in more or less words. It can come in many different ways, some parents may just spoil their children, others want to befriend their own offspring in better words. Helicopter parenting is detrimental to a child because it may shelter them, cause kids to feel dependent on their parents all the way through adulthood, also on top of that, cause early signs of depression and/or anxiety. And true, it does, but a child should not be only friends with their parents, a parent s job is to prepare their child for the real world, not protect them from it their entire life. In a complete turnaround from one of the points made, some adults believe monitoring one s child may make the child grow up content. And again as stated before, the child may actually grow up content but severely underdeveloped for the real world. Thirdly, giving one s child what they want keeps them quiet and peaceful. Everyone has seen that small young kid that cries when their iphone is taken away, that kid is the result of that kind of parenting. A child like that will have no idea how to earn what they want. Sheltering children, over the top dependancy, and worse, signs and symptoms of depression/anxiety can all be terrible outcomes of helicopter parenting. Everyone needs to know the harm of helicopter parenting, whether they are a parent or not. A generation of strong, capable, young adults is a better place to rest the fate of the world. Be careful to help not harm a child, should one be expecting a child or already a parent, try at the very least to be aware of how a child grows up. (add one more ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Kelloggs Case Study g sName: University: Course: Tutor: Date: Kellogg s Case Study Question One: There are three key sectors of the supply chain, namely; primary, secondary and tertiary sectors. The former encompasses all processes and activities geared towards transforming natural resources into primary products which are then to be used in manufacturing finished products (Choi, 2011). For instance, the forestry industry falls under the primary sector bearing in mind the fact that it focuses on transforming a natural resource, i.e. trees, into a primary product (timber). On the other hand, the secondary sector is concerned with transforming the primary products generated from the primary sector into finished products. For instance, Kellogg s is a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This gives a candid explanation as to why Kellogg s entered into an agreement with Tesco meant to allow its products to continue being displayed in the latter s stores. Kellogg s collaboration with tertiary sector entities can also be attributed to its allure in ensuring it continues to purport successful business activities. For instance, maintaining good relationships with banks makes it possible for the entity to acquire additional funds to finance its operations or investment activities (Leeman, 2010). Question Four: The major benefit that can be realized from the decision of large manufactures like Kellogg s to outsource some its activities to specialist companies like TDG is that of making the former s supply chain and distribution channels to become more efficient. The achievement of this objective is usually facilitated through the emphasis of these specialist entities to employ computerized systems while purporting stock handling and logistic functions for their clients, with this enhancing the timely and cost efficient delivery of stock in the larger manufacturers retail stores (Choi, 2011). Moreover, these specialists assist larger firms such as Kellogg s to minimize the wastages which normally occur within their supply chains, more so through streamlining their transportation, distribution and storage systems (Leeman, ... However, Captain Ahab tragically had a single mind set towards Moby Dick, as he believed that the whale was the symbol of the world s evil and had to be destroyed. On the other hand, Ishmael sees that the color white can mean many various and opposing things. It would be dangerous to settle upon any one single meaning. In the chapter, The Whiteness of the Whale, Melville explains the importance of duality of meaning in the world, as opposed to man s (and Ahab s) desire to see only one meaning in any one thing. Ishmael realized that the color white can represent beauty. Whiteness refiningly enhances beauty, as if imparting some special virtue of its own, as in marbles, japonicas, and pearls. Another characteristic of the color white is strength, such as that of the polar bear or the great white shark. Ishmael also said the white can mean spirited leadership, such as the great white steeds. Contributes to the daily state of kings and queens drawn by milk white steeds; though even in the higher mysteries of the most august religions is has been made the symbol of the divine spotlessness an power. Unlike Ahab, Ishmael saw the duality in white as he also understood that white could also be awesome, even fearsome, as man gazes across the white wastes of the prairies covered with snow and ice, or the white foaming sea hurled upon the rocky coasts by a frightful storm. To view his ship sailing through a midnight sea of milky whiteness as if from encircling headlands shoals of combed white bears. Due to Ishmaels s ability to view the whiteness of Moby Dick through many viewpoints it secured his survival on the inevitably disastrous voyage of the Pequod. I believe that anti realism about the past is false under both construals and I shall defend realism about the past against them. I obviously take realism to be a modal thesis about the relation between truth and its recognition, a thesis which says that the truth of statements in the past tense is independent from the obtaining of the sort of evidence which we normally rely on to recognize that they are true : testimonies, reports, documents, memories, and so on. It follows from this that the most promising way of arguing in its favour is to meet the now familiar Dummettian manifestability challenge . This is what I propose to do here. I shall address that challenge directly and conclude, contrary to Michael Dummett s anti realist, that (R) is true. I shall begin with a few words of caution regarding the content of the challenge. It is often taken for granted that anti realism of the Dummettian variety, either negatively or conditionally construed, is inferred from the provisional claim that no one has yet managed to show, or has yet even made clear, how one could manifest an understanding of the meaning of particular instances of (R), instances such as : (1) ‡ ( Caesar crossed the Rubicon is true · there is no evidence for Caesar crossed the Rubicon ). Summary Of The Prayer Book Of Anne De Bretagne The prayer book of Anne de Bretagne, painted by the artist Jean Poyer, though containing only thirty one folios, presents a wealth of material to study and interpret. It is just one of many examples of religious manuscripts commissioned by Anne that were extremely personalised, and noting each personalisation provides insight, not only into Jean Poyer s artistic methods, but also into the character of Anne de Bretagne. Its composition affords an example of the shift in perspective of the purpose of images, particularly within the context of the end of the 15th century. The hazy landscape in the image depicting the martyrdom of St. Ursula (Fol. 17v), for example, displays an attention to detail and accuracy through its aerial perspective, enforced by colours, particularly blue, all of which are of a lush hue, significantly improving the images believability through its distribution, accommodating the perspective by increasing the perception of depth. The landscape in the background adds layers of dimension to the profundity of the field of view in which the scene takes place, and this is due to the use of lighter colours towards the front, particularly on the martyrs and their persecutors, and darker hues that only become darker in the background, striking a contrast between the main figures and their surroundings. The miniature of St. Nicholas (Fol. 14v.) is just one example of the use of linear perspective in this prayer book. The tiles upon which St. Nicholas stands provide lines with which the direction of the vanishing point is indicated. The interior of the building contains what looks like a column, and this, coupled with the strong vertical of the building itself, further emphasises the rectilinearity of the whole composition. Contracting Out Public Service Organization Contracting out Public Service Introduction According to the Organisation for Economic Co operation and Development, many public agencies in the recent years followed the contracting out trend (Organisation for Economic Co operation and Development, 2009). Currently, the private sector performs activities and functions that the public employee once executed. Some of the services that the government contracted include vehicle towing, health services, police protection, and solid waste collection. In 1995, a survey that was referred to the city managers of America s largest cities revealed that only three of the 66 cities that responded to the investigation had not privatised any city services. Therefore, the problem not only translates to administration but staffing concerns by many managers. Contracting Out Government Functions and Services Given the current international debates on state buildings and adherence to no harm principles, an exploration of the pitfalls of contracting out state service is timely (Ya Ni Bretschneider, 2007). For the most part, contracting out is a transitional strategy. External agencies usually execute the most urgent functions while the state capacity takes them on over time. However, the risk of such procedures is that they can erode the limited capacity and result in parallel systems of government that can undermine the legitimacy of the state. At a certain age they think their parents opinions do not matter. Last summer when I had my scariest experience, I learned to listen to my parents opinions and to not be rebellious. I lived in Moulton Branch, a peaceful, quiet neighborhood where all one would hear were the birds singing in the day and crickets chirping at night. I lived in the neighborhood for about four years before we had moved. The house beside us was vacant for about two and a half years until my friend moved in. I had known her since I was a minor. My mom thought she was a bad influence on me and did not want me hanging with her. Of course I thought it was nothing bad about her, except she did not dress according to her age. I continued hanging out with her because she was the only person I knew in the neighborhood and staying in the house all day was boring. Being rebellious and disobedient can lead to something dangerous. One day after my mom had left for work I went next door to my friend s house. Her house was like my house. For instance, Awokola and colleagues reported that for many months, they could not use the EHR consistently because of constant power outage. It is called a resting potential because it occurs when a membrane is not being stimulated or conducting impulses (Ritchison n.d.). This polarity can be measured and it is about 70mv. In the resting membrane potential, outside the cell has a more positive polarity and inside the cell has more negative polarity. There are more Na+ and Cl on the outside and larger negative proteins (because they cannot go through the tiny pores to outside) and more K+ inside the cell (Ceballos, 2016). Diffusion, electrostatic pressure, and sodium potassium pump are the main forces affecting the resting membrane potential. In addition, one of the most fascinating aspects of solar cells is their ability to convert the most abundant and free forms of energy into electricity without moving parts or components. Also, they do not produce any adverse forms of pollution that affect the ecosystem. India s rooftop solar capacity addition grew 66 percent from last year to reach 525 mega watts. The state power grid system has supplied electricity to approximately 80% of the population living in the state capitals and industrial centres. Based on recent studies, PV technology and application is economically viable to be adopted in tropical countries like India where it receives more than 7 hours of direct sunlight each day throughout the year. Hence, India now tends to move on the new trend of solar energy. To measure the data continuously was not an easy task for earlier technology because of lack in advancement of software technology. So, we have used LabVIEW software for continuous measurement. It provides all the facilities in one place. The LabVIEW software is a national instrumentsTM product that is used to monitor the data for real time applications. Laboratory Virtual instrumentation for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Apple as Invisible Ink ABSTRACT The Use of Apple Extract/Juice as a Disappearing Ink The purpose of my study is to test if apple extract/juice can be used as a disappearing ink The following are the procedures used to make a disappearing ink using the apple extract. The following are the materials; Q tip, paper, apple juice and a Candle (any source of heat will work, ex. lamp, iron, oven). Begin by pouring a bit of the apple juice into a bowl. Use a q tip, toothpick, or a paintbrush to write your message on the paper. Let the paper dry thoroughly. This will take about an hour. To decode the message, you will need to heat up the paper. The best way to do this is with a candle. Hold the paper over the candle until the words become visible. The words ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In addition to being a fruit rich in symbolism, there is much plant lore assigned to the apple. Apple boughs hung above the door frame of a house are said to bless the couple that resides therein with added peace and love. Others have used the apple in a love spell that involves cutting the apple cross wise and sharing it with the one that you love to increase the attraction. In Danish folklore, however, apples are believed to wither around adulterers. Many American children have bobbed for apples on Halloween. This child s game may have originated from and Irish Tradition, La mas nbhal. This was the feast of the apple gathering which took place on All Hallow Eve. There was a spicy cider and toast beverage in which apples were floated. It was usual for each person who partook of the spicy beverage to take out an apple and eat it, wishing good luck to the company. In England on Christmas Eve, there once was a popular custom called, wassailing the orchard trees. The farmer with his family and workers would honor the most productive trees in the orchard with cider and hot cakes while saying the following toast three times: Almost everyone has eaten an apple, but have you ever asked the question where do apple trees grow? • 34. Capital Punishment Is Cruel And Unusual Although many people believe that capital punishment is cruel and unusual. It is the only punishment that can truly compensate the loss of a loved one. In recent years, the rate of serious crimes has increased. The increase of crime is the result of less effective punishment. Dating back to early civilizations, capital punishment, also known as the death penalty, was viewed as an effective punishment. Yet today s society it is viewed as cruel and inhumane. I believe that capital punishment should be executed more often because; the rate of serious crime will decrease, free up prison space, and would serve as the ultimate warning. What is capital punishment? Capital punishment is the lawful way to take a person s life, once convicted of a serious crime, such as first degree murder. Some people agree it is the most appropriate punishment to all vile murder cases (Williams), but others call it cruel and unconstitutional. There are a variety of methods in the death penalty. The method used most would be lethal injections, due to its quickness, effectiveness, and pain less results. My first reason why I believe the death penalty should be executed more often is because it could possibly help the problem of overcrowding in prisons. States such as Texas and California, mainly suffer from this problem due to its vast population and crime rate. Instead of keeping inmates for life in prison, its better to execute the one s with the most serious crimes than to release them or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He played a big role in the Russian Revolution where the Bolsheviks rebelled in 1917. Trotsky was always in second to Lenin in the Soviet Communist Rule. However, in the end he lost his leadership to Stalin. In the allegory Animal Farm, the author, George Orwell wrote Leon Trotsky as the pig Snowball, a leader in the Animal Revolution. There are three important facts about Trotsky that made George Orwell pick him as Snowball. The Russian Revolution, after war and his relation with Snowball is why George Orwell chose Trotsky. First is the Russian Revolution. Before the revolution, Trotsky became a member of the Menshevik Faction. Then he came to Russia in 1917 after he escaped the St. Peter Soviet of 1903. He joined the revolution despite Lenin s disagreements and Trotsky had a theory of a permanent revolution ( Leon Trotsky ). In the revolution, he at first was a foreign commissar. This was where the peace talks were to be held to draw a close to the First World War, the war to end all wars. World leaders from 32 countries converged on Paris armed with the demands for their countries reparation. The Big Three participants of the peace talks wanted more than just reparation. For six months the world s most powerful and influential men met every day arguing, then discussing, then arguing again. Deals were made, various treaties drawn up and new countries and organisations were created, the decisions made between January and June 1919 were the most important. This demonstration of power, debate and decision making had never been seen before nor would it be seen ever again. The treaty was signed at the Palace of Versailles between the Allies and Germany. The three most important politicians there were David Lloyd George representing Great Britain, Georges Clemenceau for France and Woodrow Wilson, president of the United States of America. Essay on Streptococcus Pneumoniae In accordance with the World Health Organization, pneumonia still remains one of the main killers of children under the age of five, taking more than 1.1 million lives of boys and girls annually (WHO Pneumonia factsheet, 2013). Pneumonia is more prevalent in South Asia and sub Saharan Africa. It is well known that pneumonia is a disease of respiratory system that affects the alveoli, which are the constituent part of the lungs. Normally alveoli fill with air during the breath of a healthy person, while the one with pneumonia has alveoli, which are filled with fluid and pus; hence the breathing process is painful and limits the oxygen consumption by organism. S. pneumoniae is capnophilic, preferring atmospheres of 5 10% carbon dioxide. Streptococcus pneumoniae can be distinguished from other streptococci, owing to the fact that it is catalase negative; can be inhibited by ethyl hydrocupreine; it is soluble in bile (due to activation of autolytic property, which consequently lead to cell lysis); it is α haemolytic (it can be easily identified on agar plates, due to greenish discoloration of blood agar due to the production of pneumolysin) (Balakrishnan, 2006). S. pneumoniae has some distinct virulence factors, which are proteins/enzymes that are expressed on the surface of gram positive organisms. They are also the main contributors to the pathogenic character of the bacterium and its survival against the host defense mechanisms. According to Poll et al. (2009) virulence factors should be used in array, in order to be successful in coordinating ways for the tissue invasion. Some of the most important virulence properties are the adherence factors, genes responsible for invasion, some heavy metal transporters, evasion the immune system of the host, production of pneumolysin and bacteriocin, quorum sensing and formation of biofilms. Some centuries ago, S. pneumoniae s polysaccharide capsule was considered to be the primary virulence factor, due to the fact that the capsule is crucial for colonization, invasion and dissemination from the respiratory tract. He says that if the prisoner were to ever return to the cave he would face the pain of having to readjust to the light in the cave and the ridicule of the prisoner who will see him as someone who has lost sight of the truth instead of the newly enlightened soul he is. The cave itself seems to represent the societal norms that will be forced upon the upcoming philosopher from birth. As described by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engles in the Communist Manifesto, The bourgeoisie has torn away from the family its sentimental veil, and has reduced the family relation to mere money relation. (8) In my own opinion, these two are talking about how being in the bourgeoisie class breaks down family relationships and values, and becomes more of a focus on obtaining the means of greater status and wealth. In Emma Bovary s case, she begins to neglect her own daughter Berthe, and takes advantage of Charles s naiveness to try and meet up with her lovers (Both Leon and Rudolph). This also puts the Bovary family into debt as Emma keeps expenditure high to achieve a lifestyle she wants. This can be seen when she makes trips and buys gifts to go see Leon in Paris. By building up the family debt, it puts the Bovary into the lower bourgeoisie class. Emma has sold several of their belongings and even the rights to Charles s family estate. The dc/dc power converter integrates a dc dc boost converter and a transformer to convert the output voltage of the solar cell array into two independent voltage sources with multiple relationships. This new seven level inverter is configured using a capacitor selection circuit and a full bridge power converter, connected in cascade. The capacitor selection circuit converts the two output voltage sources of dc dc power converter into a three level dc voltage, and the full bridge power converter further converts this three level dc voltage into a seven level ac voltage. In this way, the proposed solar power generation system generates a sinusoidal output current that is in phase with the utility voltage and is fed into the utility. The salient features of the proposed seven level inverter are that only six power electronic switches are used, and only one power electronic switch is switched at high frequency at any time. A prototype is developed and tested to verify the performance of this proposed solar power generation system. Keywords Grid connected, multilevel inverter, pulse width modulated (PWM) inverter. 1.
