SUCROS-Cotton is a crop growth simulation model developed to model the development, growth, and yield of cotton. It consists of modules for phenology, photosynthesis, morphogenesis, fruit formation and abscission, dry matter partitioning, and yield. The model simulates the effects of temperature, radiation, day length, variety traits, and management practices on cotton growth. It has been validated for monocropped cotton, relay-intercropped cotton-wheat systems, and the effect of plastic film mulch on various cotton growth outputs.
