1) Phase 1 of the Nairobi Metro Fiber project involved laying 552 km of fiber, equivalent to the distance from Nairobi to Kampala. 2) The project took 8 months to complete and ramped up over the first 9 weeks as resources were mobilized and training was performed. 3) By 24 weeks, 500 km of trenching, duct laying, and backfilling had been completed and 300 km of fiber had been blown.
