This document summarizes a study on the structural characteristics of laminated timber made from Indonesian wood. The study tested laminated beams made from Albasia and Glugu wood bonded with epoxy and aibon adhesives. Various physical properties of the wood types were measured including water content, density, and shear strength. Beams made with different adhesive-wood combinations were tested for flexural strength. Results showed that laminated beams with epoxy adhesive and Albasia in the center had the highest flexural strength, increasing the strength class of Albasia from IV to III. In conclusion, laminating wood can improve its mechanical properties for construction applications.
20 cm x 20 cm Flat boards of wood plastic composite (WPC) of thickness size of 0.5 cm was produced from three indigenous wood species (Funtumia elastica, Brachystegia kennedy and Milicia excelsa). WPCs were produced from each of selected wood species at two different wood/rHDPE mixing ratios of 1:1 and 1:1.5 at a constant nominal board density of 1g/m3. Effect of these production variables (wood species and mixing ratio) were investigated on physical and mechanical properties of WPC boards produced. Properties such as water absorption (WA), thickness swelling (TS), abrasion (AB), modulus of elasticity (MOE), modulus of rupture (MOR) and impact bending test (IB) were all carried out on the samples. Appropriate quantities of sawdust and pulverised nylon were sieved, weighed and mixed thoroughly to produce flat WPC boards from fabricated Hot-press plate machine at 1030 C with a constant pressure of 1.23N/mm2 for 20 minutes. Samples were cut into specific dimensions in accordance with British Standard (B.S D373 and D1181). Results shows that flat WPC boards produced from B. kennedy and M. excelsa were relatively low in moisture uptake but lower in wood /rHDPE mixing ratio of 1:1.5. However these wood species WPC boards were stiff and strong in strength properties but stiffer and stronger with wood /rHDPE mixing ratio of 1:1, additional abrasion values was lower in both B. kennedy and M. excelsa than F. elastica. Based on the findings that increased proportion of pulverised nylon to wood in WPC boards makes the boards to be plasticized with low strength properties, but highly dimensional stable, boards in these categories could be considered for low bearing load applications in both exterior and interior engineering materials.

on bamboo blade. The bamboo used in this work belongs to the species of Bambusa Dendrocalamus asper (local
name: bambu Petung) and PVAC adhesives used. Incising distance variation were 0 x 0 mm, 2 x 2 mm, 3 x 3 mm
and 4 x 4 mm. Compression strength were 1.5 MPa, 2 MPa and 2.5 MPa. The shape an dimensions of the tensile
strength test specimens by standard ISO 2004. The mechanical properties testing conducted correlation with
statistical analysis. The water content of at pressure of 1.5 MPa is an average of 12.81%. The average of moisture in
the pressure of 2 MPa is an average of 12.52%. The water content in the pressure of 2.5 MPa is average 12.43%.
Density at a pressure of 1.5 MPa was an average density of 0.73 g/cm3. Density values with 2 MPa is an average of
0.75 g/cm3. At a pressure of 2.5 MPa average of 0.78 g/cm3. Average value of tensile strength bamboo block

Abstract Fiber reinforcement can effectively improve the mechanical properties of concrete. Utilization of recycled fibers from post-consumer and industrial waste offer some benefits such as waste reduction and resource conservation and also low-cost materials and reduced need for landfilling. Carpets are one of the major components of waste materials around the world, which is 1-2% of all solid wastes by volume. Industrial carpets are mainly made of polymeric materials such as Nylon and Polypropylene fibers. This study was carried out on different tests of the concrete containing fibers from Malaysian industrial carpet waste following the DOE mix design for the investigation of the physical and mechanical properties of concrete. Compressive, splitting tensile and flexural tests were performed with a fiber volume fraction range of 0.5-2%. A decrease in compressive strength and workability was observed as a function of carpet fiber content. However, the addition of carpet fiber leads to enhance the splitting tensile strength, flexural strength and reducing the crack-size and a smoother mode of failure, unlike the brittle failure behavior of plain concrete. Eleven (11) composites, are unfilled and five each filled with varying contents of charcoal and wood dust separating bonded with melted spent thermoplastics have been compounded and their compressive strength, density, specific gravity, percentage shrinkage and percentage absorption determined.Composite density ranges (0.83-0.94)g/cm3, compressive strength from (6.92-16.14)n/mm2, percentage shrinkage from (1.01-4.76)% and percentage water absorption from (1.75-15.75)%. These results suggest that these composites (i) meet the allowable American standard for test and measurement (ASTM) for ceramic floor and wall tiles in compressor strength (0.2-22.1)minimum, % shrinkage (maximum 15%) and water absorption (maximum 16%) (ii)are appreciably strong compare to the gmelina-wood/cement composite and (iii) if comprehensively examined, composites may be useful in the building industry for the manufacture of tiles and boards and even compete favorably with the wood cement composites.

The main objective of this project is to investigate the effect of NaOH solution on the mechanical properties of Banana fiber in polyester composites. The composites have been made by with and without treatment of NaOH solution using polymer matrix using Banana fiber. Mechanical properties such as tensile, impact and bending strengths were Studied by Carrying out respective tests with varying weights of fiber (0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2 gm’s). The tensile, impact and bending Strength of Banana fiber reinforced composites with NaOH solution was found to be increased when compared with without NaOH solution by varying fiber content. The concentrated of NaOH solution (5%) to water (for 1lit).

Recently natural fibres have been receiving considerable attention as substitutes for synthetic fibre
reinforcements due to their low cost, low density, acceptable specific strength, good thermal insulation
properties, reduced tool wear, reduced thermal and respiratory irritation and renewable resources. The aim of
this work is to develop chemically treated and chemically untreated fibre reinforced composite material with
optimum properties so that it can replace the existing synthetic fibre reinforced composite material for a suitable
application. In this work, polyester resin has been reinforced with jute fabric, so as to develop jute fibre
reinforced plastic (JFRP) with a weight ratio of 10:1:1 Hand lay-up technique was used to manufacture the
composites where Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide and cobalt Naphthalene were used as coupling agent and
accelerator respectively. The thickness of the composite specimen was obtained by laying up layer of fibre and
matrix. The untreated composites have been used and mechanical properties are compared with natural fibre and
jute fibre composite by using the Ansys method.
Composite materials have occupied major part in current era due to its light weight,
good stiffness, high specific strength and flexible nature. Due to large availability of
naturally occurring fibers and their capability to hybridize with glass fiber, the
applications of these fibers vary according to purpose. While thinking about composites
the main points to be considered are Cost effectiveness and Environmental friendliness.
The present experimental study aims at learning the mechanical behaviour of hybrid
natural fiber composites. Natural Fibers such as Sisal and Coconut coir are used as
hybrid composites. These natural fibers are mixed with Epoxy Resin. Fiber resin mixture
was subjected to Compression moulding. Moulding was carried out for Raw hybrid fibers
and Chemically treated hybrid fibers.The mechanical properties testing such as tensile
and impact strength were carried out for the samples cut from the fabricated composite
panels to the dimensions as per ASTM standard. Then the results were compared. This
paper mainly deals with how effectively composites can be made without compromising
its properties compared to other conventional materials to cope up with the changing
market strategy.
Experimentation of Jute Fiber Supplemented with E-Glass in Various Layers Al...IJMER
Composites fiber are moving into the crucial stream of the automobile industry, with
manufacturers and suppliers finding different blends of bio composites, glass fibers and places to use
them. It has been observed that natural fibers such as flax, hemp, kneaf, jute and sisal help reducing in
weight, cost, and CO2, less dependence on other oil sources, and reusability. Also Fibers like flax, hemp
or jute are cheap, have better stiffness per unit weight, corrosion resistance, electrical insulation,
reduction in tooling and assembly costs, low thermal expansion, higher stiffness and strength, fatigue
resistance and have a lower impact on the environment. [1]
The present study/research focuses on exploring the possibility of using jute fiber, E-Glass and
embedding these in a biopolymer matrix system – epoxy – the task of which is to hold the fibers
together. This epoxy stabilizes the shape of the composite structure, transmits the shear forces between
the mechanically high-quality fibers, and protects them against radiation and other aggressive media.
The component is conditioned and prepared for testing and subjected to tensile, compression, hardness
and bending test calculating the element results with ANSYS by using the test results. Promising results
have been observed and this study enables for future study in the field of natural fiber composite
materials. Main aim of this paper is to reduce the impact on the environment, by using recyclable
natural fibers[6] [7].

The main objective of this project is to investigate the effect of NaOH solution on the mechanical properties of Banana fiber in polyester composites. The composites have been made by with and without treatment of NaOH solution using polymer matrix using Banana fiber. Mechanical properties such as tensile, impact and bending strengths were Studied by Carrying out respective tests with varying weights of fiber (0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2 gm’s). The tensile, impact and bending Strength of Banana fiber reinforced composites with NaOH solution was found to be increased when compared with without NaOH solution by varying fiber content. The concentrated of NaOH solution (5%) to water (for 1lit).

Recently natural fibres have been receiving considerable attention as substitutes for synthetic fibre
reinforcements due to their low cost, low density, acceptable specific strength, good thermal insulation
properties, reduced tool wear, reduced thermal and respiratory irritation and renewable resources. The aim of
this work is to develop chemically treated and chemically untreated fibre reinforced composite material with
optimum properties so that it can replace the existing synthetic fibre reinforced composite material for a suitable
application. In this work, polyester resin has been reinforced with jute fabric, so as to develop jute fibre
reinforced plastic (JFRP) with a weight ratio of 10:1:1 Hand lay-up technique was used to manufacture the
composites where Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide and cobalt Naphthalene were used as coupling agent and
accelerator respectively. The thickness of the composite specimen was obtained by laying up layer of fibre and
matrix. The untreated composites have been used and mechanical properties are compared with natural fibre and
jute fibre composite by using the Ansys method.

good stiffness, high specific strength and flexible nature. Due to large availability of
naturally occurring fibers and their capability to hybridize with glass fiber, the
applications of these fibers vary according to purpose. While thinking about composites
the main points to be considered are Cost effectiveness and Environmental friendliness.
The present experimental study aims at learning the mechanical behaviour of hybrid
natural fiber composites. Natural Fibers such as Sisal and Coconut coir are used as
hybrid composites. These natural fibers are mixed with Epoxy Resin. Fiber resin mixture
was subjected to Compression moulding. Moulding was carried out for Raw hybrid fibers
and Chemically treated hybrid fibers.The mechanical properties testing such as tensile
and impact strength were carried out for the samples cut from the fabricated composite
panels to the dimensions as per ASTM standard. Then the results were compared. This
paper mainly deals with how effectively composites can be made without compromising
its properties compared to other conventional materials to cope up with the changing
market strategy.

manufacturers and suppliers finding different blends of bio composites, glass fibers and places to use
them. It has been observed that natural fibers such as flax, hemp, kneaf, jute and sisal help reducing in
weight, cost, and CO2, less dependence on other oil sources, and reusability. Also Fibers like flax, hemp
or jute are cheap, have better stiffness per unit weight, corrosion resistance, electrical insulation,
reduction in tooling and assembly costs, low thermal expansion, higher stiffness and strength, fatigue
resistance and have a lower impact on the environment. [1]
The present study/research focuses on exploring the possibility of using jute fiber, E-Glass and
embedding these in a biopolymer matrix system – epoxy – the task of which is to hold the fibers
together. This epoxy stabilizes the shape of the composite structure, transmits the shear forces between
the mechanically high-quality fibers, and protects them against radiation and other aggressive media.
The component is conditioned and prepared for testing and subjected to tensile, compression, hardness
and bending test calculating the element results with ANSYS by using the test results. Promising results
have been observed and this study enables for future study in the field of natural fiber composite
materials. Main aim of this paper is to reduce the impact on the environment, by using recyclable
natural fibers[6] [7].

This study evaluated the technical feasibility of making block board from Melia dubia. Block board from Melia dubia was produced with phenol formaldehyde resin employing hot pressing conditions as required for the resin formulation. Block boards thus produced were subjected for evaluation of physical and mechanical properties as per relevant specifications (IS 1659, 2004). The test results revealed that the modulus of elasticity (MoE) obtained is 7446 N/mm2 (average) against the required value of 5000 N/mm2 and 6865 N/mm2 (Minimum individual) against standard value of 4200 N/mm2. The modulus of rupture (MoR) obtained is 58.7 N/mm2 (average) against the required value of 50 N/mm2 and 45.2 N/mm2 (Minimum individual) against standard value of 42 N/mm2. All other requirements such as variation in dimensions, Surface defects and dimensional changes caused due to humidity stays well within the limits as specified in the Indian standard. From the outcome of the tests carried out, it is found that the block boards from Melia dubia conforms to the requirements as laid in the Indian standards. From this study, it can be concluded that Melia dubia timber can be used for manufacturing block board which meets the requirements of Indian standards as prescribed in IS: 1659 – 2004 (specifications for block boards).

Abstract
Fiber reinforced concrete is new structural material which is gaining increasing importance. Addition of fiber reinforcement in discrete form improves many engineering properties of concrete. Fiber reinforced concrete can offer a convenient practical and economical method of overcoming micro-cracks and similar type of deficiencies. Since concrete is weak in tension, some measures must be adopted to overcome this deficiency. Hence sisal fiber is used in concrete to overcome this deficiency. Experiments were conducted on concrete beams, cylinders, cubes with various percent of sisal fiber (i.e) 0.5 % 1% 1.5% and 2% by the volume of concrete. By testing of beams, cubes and cylinders we found that there is an increment in the various properties and strength of concrete by the addition of sisal fiber as fiber reinforcement. Durability tests are yet to be conducted for the above specimens.

Abstract
Utilization of wood ash as a partial substitution for cement is one of the promising method to increase the strength and thermal insulation for cement blocks. The present study focused to use wood ash as a partial replacement for cement material during sand cement block manufacturing. The concrete mixtures have been mixed with 10%, 15% 20% and 25% of wood ash as a partial replacement for cement with sand and tested for compressive strength, water absorption and heat release. Higher compressive strength was observed in the samples of 15% containing wood ash replacement material. All the samples other than 25% of wood ash replacement were shown lower water absorption and highest was found in 15% wood ash content. Slower heat release was observed in the samples of 15% and 20% of wood ash replacement after 21 days of curing time. Addition of 15% wood ash for the manufacturing of concrete blocks was developed and these blocks meet standard limits.

samples. using availability and demand of the identified species, Mitragyna ciliata
(Abura), Khaya senegalensis (Mahogany) and Terminalia superba (White Afarara)
respectively were discovered as the three dorminant higher known species while
Funtumia ebrifu (Ire), pterocarpus erinaceus (Madoobiya) and Albizia labbek
(Ayinre) the three dorminant lesser known timber species. Samples of these species
were obtained from Rijia lemu timber market, Kano Nigeria. Several experimental
tests were conducted to determine the engineering properties of the samples in line
with EN13183-1, EN408 and ASTM D193, using three- and four-point bending
strength test methods. The formulated properties were used to acquire the
characteristic values of the engineering properties in corespondant with EN384. The
remaining engineering properties were calculated from the empirical formular given
in EN338. Mitragyna ciliate was classified to C20, Khaya senegalensis to D35,
Terminalia superba C14, Funtumia ebrifu D24, pterocarpus erinaceus D50 and

"The current world is witnessing the construction of challenging and innovative civil engineering structures. It has been established that when fibers are added in certain percentage to the concrete improves the strength properties as well as crack resistance and ductility. Fibers impart energy absorption, toughness and impact resistance properties to fiber reinforced concrete material and these characteristics in turn improve the strength properties. In the present experimental investigation the alkali resistant glass fiber of diameter 14 micron, length 24mm, having an aspect ratio of 855 was employed in percentage varying from 0, 10 , 20 , 30 , 50 , 60 and 80 to study the effect on compressive, split tensile and flexural strength on M40 grade concrete. At early age strength, the concrete with more than 20 of glass fiber gain strength around 61 until 82 faster than normal concrete. The hybrids composite has emerged and have the potential reinforcement material for composites and thus gain attraction by many researchers. This is mainly due to their applicable benefits have they offer low density, low cost, renewable, biodegradability and environmentally harmless and also comparable mechanical properties with synthetic fiber composites. In the project natural fiber and glass hybrid composites were fabricated by using epoxy resin combination of hand lay-up method and cold press method. Specimen was cut from the fabricated laminate according to the ASTM standard for different experiments for tensile test, flexural text, and impact test. A significant improvement in tensile strength was indicated by the woven fiber glass hybrid composites. In this hybrid composite laminates banana-glass-banana (BGB) and glass-banana-glass (GBG) exhibit higher mechanical properties due to chemical treatment to natural fibers. So, the hybrid composite material shows the highest mechanical properties. This High performance hybrid composite material has extensive engineering applications such as transport industry, aeronautics, naval, automotive industries.

Composite materials offer numerous advantages over more conventional materials because of their superior specific properties, but a serious obstacle to a more widespread use of these materials is their high sensitivity to localized impact loading. This paper presents an experimental study to assess the impact response of drop weight impact tests on fiber reinforced polymer composites with deferent load and damage identification of composite using Non-destructive testing techniques ultrasonic testing (UT) C scan. In the study includes checking the strength of the specimen, plotting of graphs between the height and the impact energy obtained and tabulating the results after conducting the various functional tests.
THE USE OF FRACTAL GEOMETRY IN TILING MOTIF DESIGNAM Publications
In this paper I will present the use of fractal geometry to design tile motifs. A fractal is a geometric figure that combines the several characteristics among others: its parts have the same form as the whole, fragmented, and formation by iteration. The concept of fractals has been spread over all fields of sciences, technology, and art. This paper aims to provide an algorithm to creating motifs of tile algorithm for create the tile motif consists of base, iteration, coloration and duplication. In order to help the reader better understand the algorithm, I will present some script using Matlab. We describe a mathematically based algorithm that can fill a spatial region with sequence of randomly placed which may be transformed copies of one motif or several motifs. By using this algorithm, I can produce thousand variety of aesthetically pleasing tile motifs, of which we show a number of examples.

Two-dimensional resistivity analysis of magnetotelluric data has been done at “Z” geothermal area which is located in southern part of Indonesia. The objective is to understand subsurface structure beneath reasearch area based on 2-D modeling of magnetotelluric data. The inversion finite element method were used for numerical simulations which requires discretization on the boundary of the modeling domain. The modeling results of magnetotelluric data shows relativity structure dissemination: 0-10 ohm.m in a thickness of 1 km (Clay Cap), 10-100 ohm.m with 1-2 km depth respectively (reservoir zone), and on a scale of 100-1000 ohm.m in a depth of 2-3 km (heat source zone). The result of relativity structure can be used to delineate an area with geothermal prospect around 12 km2.

To achieve the pre-set welding size, this paper presents the optimization of the constrained overlap laser welding input parameters for AISI 416 and AISI 440FSe stainless, thickness 0.5 mm. In this study, the proposed optimization algorithm is the Genetic Algorithm (GA). After training 10 times for 30 NP (population size), each training repeated 200 times, the results achieved as expected. The error is compared with the result of the affirmation experiment not exceeding 5%.

The community prefers to carry out activities that can increase family income. Future MSMEs remain the mainstay of the national economy. In accordance with the government roadmap, in 2020 e-commerce transactions are predicted to reach Rp1,300 trillion or equivalent to USD130 billion. According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the contribution of MSMEs to Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached 61.41%, with the number of MSMEs reaching almost 60 million units. However, only around 8% or 3.79 million of the 59.2 million MSMEs players have used online platforms to market their products. Based on the above problems, researchers conducted research on the analysis and display of E-Marketplace for MSMEs in Indonesia. The type of research used is action research. The object of research is MSMEs which are under the Office of Industry and Trade of Sragen Regency. The method of data collection is by techniques: (1) interview, (2) documentation (3) observation, (4) literature study. The researcher uses the waterfall method in developing the system. The research team has successfully analyzed the E-Market place according to the results of data collection. The research team has succeeded in designing the E-Marketplace for MSMEs. E-Marketplace designed can be used by admin, MSME and user. Admin is in charge of managing E-Marketplace and has full access rights. MSMEs can register online and manage their products in E-Marketplace. Users or buyers can search data in E-Marketplace as desired. To make transactions, users can interact directly with MSMEs according to the data provided in E-Marketplace. E-Marketplace can be used for marketing together MSMEs products. Currently, the finite element method (FEM) is still one of the useful tools in numerical simulation for technical problems. With this method, a continuum model presented by a certain number of elements with a simple approximation field causes the presence of discretization error in solutions. This paper considers the butt weld by laser which subjected the tension for AISI 1018 steel highness 8 mm. The aim of the study is to use the h-refinement of the FEM in estimation the strain energy error for the laser weld mentioned. The results show that the stability of the h-refinement shown by the value of the relative error of the strain energy is quite small, specifically; FEM is less than 5.7% and extra is no more than 3.7%.

Which uses the forward and Baum-welch algorithm and fitting Gaussian of the Baum-welch algorithm for all the iteration perform. We use a sample of 7 alphabets which are recorded in 15 different ways giving total of 105 word to use for training with each word with 15 variations. This system can be used in real world in system security using voice security system and mainly for children and impaired people.

Detecting pedestrians in low resolution videos is a challenging task, due to the small size of pedestrians in the images and the limited information. In practical outdoor surveillance scenarios the pedestrian size is usually small. Existing state-of-the-art pedestrian detection methods that use histogram of oriented gradient (HOG) features have poor performance in this problem domain. To compensate for the lack of information in a single frame, we propose a novel detection method that recognizes pedestrians in a short sequence of frames. Namely, we take the single-frame HOG-based detector and extend it to multiple frames. Our detector is applied to regions containing potential moving objects. In the case of video taken from a moving camera on an aerial platform, video stabilization is first performed to register the frames. A classifier is then applied to features extracted from spatio-temporal volumes surrounding the potential moving objects. On challenging stationary and aerial video datasets, our detection accuracy outperforms several state-of-the-art algorithms.
The aim of this paper is to help the blind people to identify and catch the public transport vehicles with the help of Light Fidelity technology. It is a Navigation aid. When the bus arrives at the bus stand, transmitter in the bus transmits the light signals and receiver in the stick, receives the light signals and a sound signal is generated through the speaker present in the stick. The sound message contains the bus number and the destination of the bus. In addition to this, if the person is absconded or lost, details of the location will be sent to his/her family members by pressing a button. This is made possible with the help of Global System for Mobile (GSM). Finally, presence of water can be detected along the blind person’s path, with the help of water sensors.

A digital radiography delivers a radiation dose to patients; therefore it poses potential risk to the patients. One effort to reduce dose is carried out using a radiation filter, e.g. Silicone Rubber (SR) sheet. The purpose of this research was to determine the impact of the SR sheet on the high contrast objects (HCO) and the low contrast objects (LCO). The dose reduction was determined from attenuation x-rays before and after using the SR sheet. Assessment of HCO and LCO was observed from CDR TOR phantom at tube voltage of 48 kVp and tube current of 8 mAs. The physical parameter to assess image quality was the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) value in LCO. The maximum x-ray attenuation using the SR sheet is 48.82%. The visibility of the HCO remains the same, namely 16 objects; however the LCO slighly decreases from 14 objects to 13 objects after using the SR sheet. The SNR value decreases with an average value of 15.17%.Therefore, the SR sheet as a alternative filter has no effect on the HCO and has realtively little effect on the LCO. Thus, the SR sheet potentially is used for radiation protection in patients, especially on examinations that do not require low contrast resolution.

The article presents the study of cryptographic transformations of the Kuznyechik algorithm in relation to differential analysis and the translation of their representations into a more convenient form for cryptanalysis. A simplification of the type of transformations of the algorithm to algebraic the form, in which cryptanalysis software will be more effective. Since the description of the algorithm in the analytical form allows for 16 cycles of execution of the shift register with linear feedback, each of which will be carried out 16 operations of multiplication and 15 operations of addition, reduced to 16 multiplying and 15 the operations of addition. The result is an algebraic form of a linear transformation (from a shift register with linear feedback to the multiplication of the matrix in a finite field). Optical character recognition (OCR) is process of classification of optical patterns contained in a digital image. The process of OCR Recognition involves several steps including pre-processing, segmentation, feature extraction, classification. Pre-processing is for done the basic operation on input image like noise reduction which remove the noisy signal from image. Segmentation stage for segment the given image into line by line and segment each character from segmented line. Future extraction calculates the characteristics of character. A Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBFNN) is used to classification contains the database and does the comparison.

SIMULATION OF ATMOSPHERIC POLLUTANTS DISPERSION IN AN URBAN ENVIRONMENTAM Publications
Interest in air pollution investigation of urban environment due to existence of industrial and commercial activities along with vehicular emission and existence of buildings and streets which setup natural barrier for pollutant dispersion in the urban environment has increased. The air pollution modelling is a multidisciplinary subject when the entire cities are taken under consideration where urban planning and geometries are complex which needs a large software packages to be developed like Operational Street Pollution Model (OSPM), California Line Source model (CALINE series) etc. On overviewing various works it can be summarized that the air pollutant dispersion in urban street canyons and all linked phenomenon such as wind flow, pollutant concentrations, temperature distribution etc. generally depend on wind speed and direction, building heights and density, road width, source and intensity of air pollution, meteorological variables like temperature, humidity etc. A unique and surprising case is observed every time on numerous combinations of these factors. The main aim of this study is to simulate the atmospheric pollutant dispersion for given pollutant like carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide and given atmospheric conditions like wind speed and direction. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation for analysing the atmospheric pollutant dispersion is done after natural airflow analysis. Volume rendering is done for variables such as phase 2 volume fraction and velocity with resolution as 250 pixels per inch and transparency as 20%. It can be observed that all the three pollutant namely nitrogen dioxide, sulphur dioxide and carbon monoxide the phase 2 volume fraction changes from 0 to 1. The wind velocity changes from 3.395×10-13 m/s to 1.692×102 m/s. The dispersion of pollutants follow the sequence Sulphur dioxide>Carbon monoxide>Nitrogen dioxide.
PREPARATION AND EVALUATION OF WOOL KERATIN BASED CHITOSAN NANOFIBERS FOR AIR ...AM Publications
In this article, we have extracted keratin from deccani wool waste and prepared the wool keratin based Chitosan nanofibers by electrospinning technique. The prepared nanofibers mat were prepared with different weight percent ratio like 1wt.%, 3wt.% and 5wt.% with respect to polymer i.e Chitosan. The physicochemical and filtration properties of wool keratin based Chitosan nanofibers were studied. Wool keratin based Chitosan nanofibers were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The filtration efficiency of keratin Chitosan nanofibers were investigated through DOP test and heavy metal removal capacity of evaluated through Atomic absorption spectroscopy. FTIR results were showed that Keratin gets compatible with Chitosan. XRD patterns revealed keratin was in crystalline nature and increase the crystalline nature of Chitosan nanofibers. FESEM images showed that uniform nanofibers generation with average fiber diameter 80nm. Nanofibers filtration efficiency against a particulate matter in air was obtained more than 99.53% and excellent property of removal of heavy metal.

Cloud computing means storing and accessing data and programs over the Internet instead of your computer's hard drive. The cloud is just a metaphor for the Internet. The elements involved in cloud computing are clients, data center and distributed server. One of the main problems in cloud computing is load balancing. Balancing the load means to distribute the workload among several nodes evenly so that no single node will be overloaded. Load can be of any type that is it can be CPU load, memory capacity or network load. In this paper we presented an architecture of load balancing and algorithm which will further improve the load balancing problem by minimizing the response time. In this paper, we have proposed the enhanced version of existing regulated load balancing approach for cloud computing by comping the Randomization and greedy load balancing algorithm. To check the performance of proposed approach, we have used the cloud analyst simulator (Cloud Analyst). Through simulation analysis, it has been found that proposed improved version of regulated load balancing approach has shown better performance in terms of cost, response time and data processing time.

The study investigated the design optimization of these hybrid systems, focusing on understanding solar radiation patterns, identifying geographical influences on solar radiation, formulating a mathematical model for system optimization, and determining the optimal configuration of PV panels and pumped hydro storage. Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights for advancing energy research in economically viable areas. Recommendations included conducting site-specific assessments, utilizing advanced modeling tools, implementing regular maintenance protocols, and enhancing communication among system components.
Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
