Myocardial infarction is the medical name of a heart attack. A heart attack is a life-threatening condition that occurs when blood flow to the heart muscle is abruptly cut off, causing tissue damage. This is usually the result of a blockage in one or more of the coronary arteries.Symptoms include tightness or pain in the chest, neck, back or arms, as well as fatigue, lightheadedness, abnormal heartbeat and anxiety. Women are more likely to have atypical symptoms than men.
Treatment ranges from lifestyle changes and cardiac rehabilitation to medication, stents, and bypass surgery.

What are the symptoms of a stroke? This article will tell you about the different types of strokes and what they look like, their causes, risk factors and prevention.
Stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is disrupted, leading to brain cell damage. It can be categorized as ischemic stroke, caused by a clot blocking blood flow, or hemorrhagic stroke, caused by bleeding in the brain. Common symptoms include sudden numbness or weakness, confusion, trouble speaking or understanding, vision problems, dizziness, and severe headaches. Stroke is a medical emergency, and prompt treatment is crucial. Diagnosis involves physical examination and imaging tests. Treatment may involve clot-busting medication or a thrombectomy procedure. Rehabilitation plays a vital role in recovery. Lifestyle changes and preventive measures, such as managing blood pressure, controlling cholesterol levels, and adopting a healthy lifestyle, are essential for stroke prevention.

A brain stroke occurs when one of the brain parts are deprived form oxygen-rich blood due to various mechanism. Usually a brain stroke occurs when one of the arteries is blocked either because of narrowing of small arteries with in the brain or the hardening of the arteries that lead to atherosclerosis strokes can be either ischemic (85%) or Hemorrhagic (15%). Forget fullness is a common complaint among older people. Age –related memory changes are not the same thing as dementia. Preventing memory loss is by exercise regularly staying social, manage stress, get plenty of sleep and don’t smoke. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetable and take food contain antioxidant in abundance; will reduce your risk of stroke. Walking regularly is an easy to fight memory loss and also brain exercises to prevent loss and boost brainpower. Research is going no to enhance memory power in brain in patient with brain stroke.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

3. introduction
What is stroke ?
A stroke is a “brain attack”. It can happen
to anyone at any time. It occurs when
blood flow to an area of brain is cut off.
When this happens, brain cells are
deprived of oxygen and begin to die.
When brain cells die during a stroke,
abilities controlled by that area of the
brain such as memory and muscle
control are lost.
Symptoms
Trouble with speaking and
understanding
Paralysis or numbness of the
face, arm or leg
Trouble with seeing in one or
both eyes
Headache
Trouble with walking
4. Causes
A stroke may be caused by a
blocked artery (ischemic stroke) or
the leaking or bursting of a blood
vessel (hemorrhagic stroke).
Some people may experience only a
temporary disruption of blood flow
to the brain (transient ischemic
attack, or TIA) that doesn't cause
permanent damage.
5. Types of stroke
Ischemic stroke:
About 80 percent of strokes are ischemic
strokes. Ischemic strokes occur when the
arteries to your brain become narrowed or
blocked, causing severely reduced blood flow
(ischemia). The most common ischemic strokes
include:
1. Thrombotic stroke: A thrombotic stroke
occurs when a blood clot (thrombus) forms in
one of the arteries that supply blood to your
brain. A clot may be caused by fatty deposits
(plaque) that build up in arteries and cause
reduced blood flow (atherosclerosis) or other
artery conditions.
6. 2. Embolic stroke :
An embolic stroke occurs when a blood clot or other debris
forms away from your brain — commonly in your heart — and
is swept through your bloodstream to lodge in narrower brain
arteries. This type of blood clot is called an embolus.
7. Types of stroke
Hemorrhagic stroke:
Hemorrhagic stroke occurs when a blood
vessel in your brain leaks or ruptures. Brain
hemorrhages can result from many
conditions that affect your blood vessels.
These include:
Uncontrolled high blood pressure
(hypertension)
Overtreatment with anticoagulants (blood
thinners)
Weak spots in your blood vessel walls
(aneurysms)
Types of hemorrhagic stroke include:
8. 1. Intracerebral hemorrhage:
In an intracerebral hemorrhage, a blood vessel in the
brain bursts and spills into the surrounding brain
tissue, damaging brain cells. Brain cells beyond the
leak are deprived of blood and are also damaged.
High blood pressure, trauma, vascular malformations,
use of blood-thinning medications and other
conditions may cause an intracerebral hemorrhage.
2. Subarachnoid hemorrhage :
In a subarachnoid hemorrhage, an artery on or near
the surface of your brain bursts and spills into the
space between the surface of your brain and your
skull. This bleeding is often signaled by a sudden,
severe headache.
9. •Transient ischemic attack (TIA)
A transient ischemic attack (TIA) —
sometimes known as a mini stroke — is a
temporary period of symptoms similar to
those you'd have in a stroke. A temporary
decrease in blood supply to part of your
brain causes TIAs, which may last as little as
five minutes.
Like an ischemic stroke, a TIA occurs when a
clot or debris blocks blood flow to part of
your nervous system — but there is no
permanent tissue damage and no lasting
symptoms.
10. What is *FAST*
F: Face drooping. If one side of the face
droops, it’s a sign of a possible stroke.
A: Arm weakness. If the person cannot
hold both arms out, it’s another
possible stroke sign
S: Speech difficulty. Slurring words
and poor understanding of simple
sentences is another possible stroke
sign.
T: Time to call 9-1-1 If any of the FAS
signs are positive, it’s Time to call 9-1-1
immediately
