What is needed to manage content lifecycles?
 Local Machines or Fileshares are still incredibly
common means of managing assets and versions
 DMS and CMS both allow customer to manage
source content, but DMS relies on authoring
tools and manages lifecycles, while CMS does
everything in on system
 REGULATED Content: Must be managed in
systems that meet specific requirements
What other things should be considered?
 These categories are NOT often considered part
of the training technology ecosystem, but are
among the most critical areas of efficiency loss
or gain
 DMS applications are among the most
integrated with LMSs for GXP purposes; very few
allow for comprehensive learning asset
management
