■ LXPs are cloud-based applications focused on

a focus on L&D
■ They are content-focused, intending to create
something more like an index of trainable items
■ The key is discovery of key learning content –
think YouTube or Netflix
■ LXPs are not currently replacements for an LMS
– though some think that may happen – but
rather they are being used together
Do I need an LXP?
■ Maybe. It really depends on your organizational
maturity and other existing learning technology
■ An LXP won’t solve your multi-system problems,
it will just change them.

component, if not native or mobile-first.
■ Initiatives persuade: Sometimes mobile apps
are needed for learning-adjacent or learning-
