Using the technique of comparison, William Shakespeare describes how deep his
love is for his significant other in both Sonnet 18 and Sonnet 130. Shakespeare takes
an unconventional approach by utilizing compare and contrast to make his point.
Although he writes the sonnets differently, the moral theme happens to be the same.
The two sonnets begin in total opposite tones but conclude the same. Shakespeare
proves that the same underlying theme can be proved by using different poetic styles
and techniques, such as rhyme scheme or comparisons, thus leads to the comparison
and contrast between Sonnet18 and Sonnet 130. In Sonnet 130, William Shakespeare
inadvertently uses blazon, a popular form of poetryduring the sixteenth century, to
give a detailed summary of his beloved s physical features in a negative manner. A
typical blazon would describe a female s body from head to toe. It allowed writers
to project an idealized woman whose features could be admired from afar. In the
first four lines, Sonnet 130 slowly reveals the conflicting image. The first line begins

the poem is unclear. The poem is shocking because instead of using common love

The fact that only one out of every two executives of Croatia and Slovenia listed
companies has a theoretical knowledge of IFRS which implies that auditing firms
have been involved at least in training programs to Croatia and Slovenian listed
companies in the transition period to IFRS. This study is justified in a different
context than other studies. It is justified in the framework of IFRS and, in particular,
three years after their adoption. IFRS were effective since 2005 and the date of audit
opinions are dated in 2007.The contribution of this study is that it provides
evidence from the Zagreb Stock Exchange and Slovenia Stock Exchange listed
companies is characterized by a stakeholder (debfholder) orientation which stands in
a transition. Note that the debt to equity ratio of Zagreb Stock Exchange and
Slovenia Stock Exchange listed companies in a time horizon of four and a half
decades stands on average to 1.24 (minimum) in 2004 and 3.068 (maximum) in 1984
(with outliers excluded). The structure of the paper is presented as follows: Section 2
discusses the review of the literature. Section 3 describes the research design. Section
4 presents the empirical analysis and results. Section 5 concludes with suggestions for
further future research.

Not long after, an old monk named Feofan accompanied Rasputin back to Siberia
for a visit. Being an old friend of Rasputin, he did not expect him to act out. Feofan
observed how Rasputin did not fast like he should have, and how he would seduce
many women. He later brought his observations to the tsar and tsarina. At the same
time many others began to report Rasputin s misconduct, including the Prime

The Use of Distortion as a Literary Device in George...
Animal Farm, by George Orwell, is an excellent example of distortion as a literary
device. The story is set up as a fable using a third person objective viewpoint and
personification of animals to represent historical figures and stereotypes. Distortion
can also be found in much of the symbolism throughout the novel. Similar to a
fable, Animal Farm makes use of personification. In the story, farm animals are used
to represent different classes of people, from the average working man to
government officials and police or military personnel. This element of the novel goes
deeper, when the pigs on the farm begin to resemble historical figures such as Joseph
Stalin and Leon Trotsky, of Russia. Through distortion of character, Orwell brings...
This brings the reader to the level of the working class animals and instills a sense
of uncertainty and disillusionment that is felt by most of the characters in the
story. In the beginning, the animals are excited by Major s talk of rebellion against
Mr. Jones and through Orwell s objective point of view, the same feeling of
insurrection is passed on to the audience. As the pigs weave an intricate web of lies
and scandal, the reader gets the sense that not all is well in the same way the animals
do. The difference between the animals and ourselves lies in intelligence. The author
deliberately makes the characters dumber than the average person, allowing us to see
through the deception of the pigs, without the use of a third person omniscient
viewpoint. Symbolically, Animal Farm itself is supposed to represent Russia and the
Soviet Union under Communist control. The farm in today s world, being a small,
self sustaining entity may relate to current conditions in North Korea. It seems that
Kim Jong il, like the pigs, is much more equal than his subjects. Kim and Napoleon
seem to share the paranoia of being attacked by more powerful rivals, and both it
seems, have a desire to keep their respective nations in the dark. Perhaps less
specifically, the farm could represent human society as a whole. As mentioned earlier,

Once finished with his service, Williams moved back to the Empire State to study at

Democratic Utopia It has been said by Sir Winston Churchill that democracy is the
worst form of government except all the others that have been tried. In other words,
democracy is the best form of government for now. But he also implied, that
democracy itself is not flawless, it is only better than all the other political forms. In
fact, there are a lot of problems that democracy is not able to fix. For example, the
balance and the efficiency of government of the state is the most debatable one.
Democracy means that a government is made of the people, by the people and for

Researchers daily utilize the knowledge of the mechanism of gene expression,
allowing them to operate in different areas. An example is the imposition of certain
conditions to micro organisms, which are capable of producing drugs or induce

is placed on control systems based on proteins but recently research started to also
focus on the use of systems based on RNA, which is equally as polypeptides involved
