This document illustrates the procedure for creating Organization Management Infotype within the limits of SAP HCM module.

1. Step-By-Step Creating OM (Organizational Management) Infotype:

Most of the time, we do not have to create OM Infotype as SAP has been built in
such a way that it satisfied most the business requirements and we have to create
only PA Infotypes, which I have already published earlier.
Although, sometimes for the sake of convenience or to avoid more complexities of
organization, some organization prefer to create OM Infotype. One such example is
as under.
Note: This Case study is for understanding purpose only. It do not affiliated with
any Organization.
Business Case Study:
One of our Organizational need arisen recently, which requires that in their
Organization certain positions like CEO, Director, Managing Director, Senior
Managers needs to be provided extra additional benefits which are usually not
provided to other positions of the Organizations as they are specific to certain
occupying positions only. Such benefits are like:
- Business Travel Air Tickets with specified maximum amount limits to positions
holding CEO and MD
- Driver's Salary maximum amount limits for positions like Senior Managers and
upper level
- Club and Resort House Membership amount limits for positions like Senior
Managers and above level
And we termed this OM Infotype as: Benefits Limit. We followed below steps for
performing this:
Step 1:
First, create a required table through TCODE: SE11 for holding such exclusive
benefits data. Table: ZBENEFITS

Step 2:
Create a Search help for OM Infotype via SE11

3. Step-By-Step Creating OM (Organizational Management) Infotype:

Step 3:
Create a OM Infotype Structure
Make sure to:
(1) Assign created search help ZBENEFIT to ZBENTYPE field
(2) Assign reference of ZWAER to amount field
(3) Check table TCURC is assigned to ZWAER

Step 4:
Run Tcode: PPCI and enter Infotype No: 9910 as field Infotype and click on Create
Here, system will generate Module Pool, Screens, Structure, Index and table
Step 5:
Important Step: Run SM30, Enter T777I table for Infotype Maintenance and assign
new Infotype to std. Object type Position
Step 6:
Select Our Infotype and double click on Infotype per Object type->Create New
Entries as under:

Same way, Maintain Time Constraint

Step 8:
Goto SE80-> Module Pool: MP991000 and edit table name ZBENEFITS.

6. Step-By-Step Creating OM (Organizational Management) Infotype:

Step 9:
Goto PBO->INIT_9910 and edit with below code and activate Module Pool :
MP991000.
Step 10:
Goto Tcode: PO13 for position Maintenance
Enter Position No and select OM Infotype Benefits Limit with proper Time Interval

Final Step: Create Record on Save it: Check if Benefits Type description is
displaying properly or not
