The NEMS-V project developed a standardized tool and website to assess and code the nutritional quality of foods and beverages in vending machines based on Dietary Guidelines. Pilot testing showed the tool was reliable. Mini-grants were used to complete assessments in Iowa worksites. Successes included resolutions requiring healthier vending options. The website provides training and resources to help workplaces improve their vending options.
