जल प्रदूषण, से अभिप्राय जल निकायों जैसे कि, झीलों, नदियों, समुद्रों और भूजल के पानी के संदूषित होने से है। जल प्रदूषण, इन जल निकायों के पादपों और जीवों को प्रभावित करता है और सर्वदा यह प्रभाव न सिर्फ इन जीवों या पादपों के लिए अपितु संपूर्ण जैविक तंत्र के लिए विनाशकारी होता है।
जल प्रदूषण का मुख्य कारण मानव या जानवरों की जैविक या फिर औद्योगिक क्रियाओं के फलस्वरूप पैदा हुये प्रदूषकों को बिना किसी समुचित उपचार के सीधे जल धारायों में विसर्जित कर दिया जाना है।
ज्वालामुखी जिसके अंतर्गत वह सम्पूर्ण प्रक्रिया आ जाती है जिसके माध्यम से भू -गर्भ से मेग्मा भूतल की ओर आता है अथवा पृथ्वी के भीतरी भाग से जो दहकते हुए पदार्थ जिस मार्ग विशेष से निकलते है उसे ज्वालामुखीकहते हैं |

Vivek Inspire is a project undertaken by Jnana Prabodhini in collaboration with Vivekanand Kendra Vidyalayas Arunachal Pradesh Trust (VKVAPT).
Through this project we are working with selected students from 6th standard following them till 10th standard, giving them various exposures and experiences catering their holistic development as well as equipping them with specific skills in order to qualify prestigious competitive examinations in their school years and ahead.

िमश्रणिांपासून बनलेल्या असतात.
या वस्तू, पदाथ र्थ स्थ ायू, द्रव िकवा वायू अवस्थ ेत असतात.
3. यातले काही स्थ ायू चकचकीत, टणिक तर काही न चकाकणिारे भुसभुशीत
असतात .
या पदाथ ार्थमधील मूलद्रव्यांच्या िविशष्ट गुणिधमार्थनुसार त्यांचे धातू –
अधातू असे वगीकरणि करता येते.
4. धातूंचे गुणिधमर्थ – धातू चकाकतात.
त्यांच्यापासून पातळ पत्रा तयार करता येतो (वधर्थनीयता )
त्यांच्यापासून बारीक तार काढता येते. (तन्यता )
ते वीज आिणि उष्णितेचे सुवाहक असतात.
सवर्थसाधारणित: उच्च घनता पारा वगळता सवर्थ धातू स्थ ायू अवस्थ ेत
असतात.
6. धातूंचे रासायिनिक गुणधम र्म
धातू ऑक्सिक्सजनिशी संयोग पावतात तेव्हा धातूंची ऑक्सक्साईडे तयार होतात. याला
ऑक्सिक्सडीकरण म्हणतात.
7. लोखंडाचे गंजणे हे लोखंडाचे ऑक्सिक्सडीकरणच आहे.
धातूंची ऑक्सक्साईडे आम्लारीधम ी असतात.
धातूंची आम्लांशी अिभिक्रियाक्रिया झाली असता धातूंचे क्षार तयार
होतात. या ियाक्रियेला क्षरण म्हणतात.
आम्ली पजर्मन्याम ुळे धातूच्या पुतळ्यांम धील धातूंचे क्षरण होते आिण
पुतळ्यांची झीज होते.
11. सोने, चांदी, प्लॅटिटिनम या धातूंवर हवा, पाणी, उष्णता, रसायने यांचा
फारसा पिरणाम होत नाही म्हणून त्यांना राजधातू म्हणतात.
12. पाण्याच्या संपकार्कात येणाऱ्या धातूंचे क्षरण होऊ नये म्हणून त्यावर
जलरोधक पदाथार्थांचा थर देतात. (ग्रीस, ऑईलपेंटि , तेल ) जहाज,
बैलगाडीच्या चाकाचे भाग.
14. संिमश्रे – दोन िकिंवा अधिधकिं धातूंचे िविशिष्ट गुणधमर्म एकिंत्र िमळवण्यासाठी
त्यांचे िविशिष्ट प्रमाणात िमश्रण किंरतात. या िमश्रणाला संिमश्र
म्हणतात.
उदा. िपितळ , ब्राँझ, पिोलाद, स्टेनलेस स्टील.
