An experiment in sustainable farming was launched in rural India to address the issues of farmer suicides, destitution of families, and burden on women and children. The Magan Sanghralaya Samiti started a natural farming movement in Wardha district of Maharashtra to provide an alternative to problems caused by genetically modified seeds, such as increased pest infestation and dying trees. The movement aims to give voice to farmers whose concerns have gone unheard.
