- 4. Cocktails & Mocktails Cocktails Cocktailis a drink composed of at least two ingredients, which have been shaken or stirred together, and served either as a tall or short drink. Cocktails usually contain three distinct types of ingredients 1. Base 2.Body 3. Modifying, Smoothening or Aromatic agent Mock tails Mock tail is a drink composed of at least two or more non alcoholic ingredients, which have been shaken or stirred together, and served either as a tall or short drink. - 5. Types of Cocktails& Mocktails It may also need a certain third type as an additional special flavoring or coloring agent. Cocktails are shaken, blended, built or stirred. a) Shaken Cocktail The ingredients are placed in a shaker with ice and shaken. It is done in a Boston shaker/cocktail shaker. The ice should not maintain in contact with cocktail for long as it will get diluted. b) Stirred Cocktail The ingredients are placed in a mixing glass with ice and stirred to impart the chillness to the drink and strained into a cocktail glass. c) Built up Cocktail These are placed layer by layer in a glass in the order of density such that the ingredients do not mix. They have great eye appeal. d) Blended Cocktail The ingredients are placed in a blender and blended together with ice and poured into a cocktail glass.
- 6. Bikini 60 ml vodka ½lemon juice 15ml white rum 15ml milk 01-teaspoon sugar Crushed ice. Pour vodka, lemon juice, white rum, milk and sugar over ice in a shaker. Shake well and strain it in to a cocktail glass.
- 7. Strawberry fantasy 60ml gin 60mlcoconut cream 03 fresh strawberries Crushed ice Mix gin, coconut cream, 02 strawberries and plenty of crushed ice in a blender. Pour it into a cocktail glass and decorate it with remaining strawberry. Cut into a fan and serve with short straws.

- 12. Mickey mousse One Cola icecubes one scoop of vanilla ice cream whipped cream 02 maraschino cherries. Pour cola over ice in tall glass. Add ice cream. Top with whipped cream and garnish with cherries. Serve with straws and long handled spoon.
