How can documentaries contribute to social change?
An Evening with Brian Woods and Jezza Neuman of True Vision Productions
sounddelivery and the Third Sector PR and
Communications Network are delighted to be
hosting a Q & A session with the team behind a
series of multi-awarding winning documentaries
including the powerful Poor Kids recently
broadcast on BBC1.
They will be discussing how documentaries are
contributing to social change and talking about
how the True Vision Foundation was set up to
channel viewers donations and contributions.
True Vision’s most recent film, Poor Kids, highlighted the issue of child poverty. It was
seen by over 3 million people, was the number one trending topic worldwide on Twitter
and smashed the BBC record for numbers of online responses to a film. One of the
children in the film was invited to meet the minister in charge of Child Poverty Strategy,
Maria Miller, in the Houses of Parliament.
