Introduction
 Now-a-days with growing population and
energy demand we should take a renewable
option of energy source and also we should
keep in mind that energy should not cause
population and other natural hazards.
 In this case solar energy is best option.
 India is highly populated country, so we
should take the advantages of such an energy
which required a very less space to produce
energy efficiently.
 In this case solar tree be the best one for us.

What is Solar Tree?
 A Solar tree is a decorative means of producing solar energy and also
electricity. It uses multiple no. of solar panels which forms the shape of a
tree. TREE stands for
 T – Tree generating
 R – Renewable
 E – Energy
 E – Electricity
This is a like a tree in structure and the panels are like leaves of the tree
produce energy.
Why we called it as Solar Tree?
As we know tree makes their own food by the process of
PHOTOSYNTHESIS. Now in solar tree consider it as tree, the solar panels
are like leaves. These panels produces energy as the leaves produces. So
it is very appropriate to called it as Solar Tree.
Technique Used
• The Technique used in solar tree is Spiralling
Phyllotoxy.
• It is the unique technique used so as to make sure
that every cell in panel gets equal amount of solar
energy.
• It provide the way to help the lower panel from the
shadow of upper panel, so it can trap maximum
solar light as upper panel.
• This technique is used to increase the efficiency of
plant.

Working
of
Solar
Tree It is difficult to store to electrical energy is for all electric power
system. Solar Tree panels charge batteries during daytime. At dusk, the
solar tree switches ON its LED automatically. The internal control can also
regulates the amount of light produced on how much charge is left in the
batteries. A sensor measures an amount of light in the atmosphere and
triggers the solar lamps to switch ON automatically at sunset and OFF at
dawn. Tracking system reduces solar cell output fluctuations caused by
day and night cycle and weather shifts.
Basics components of a solar tree
1. Photo voltaic modules
2. Cables for connecting modules
3. Inverter
4. Batteries
5. Steel structure
6. Charging points/ LED’s
Depending on the application the components may
vary.

Why it is Better than Traditional system?
For the traditional system we
require large area of land. For example,
To generate 2MW power we required 10-
12 acre land for housing the panel only.
For the same amount of energy we
required only 0.10-0.12 acre of land in
case of Solar Tree.
Application
The solar trees look a lot likes a real tree, but
the branch is changed for Solar panels, that takes
Sun’s energy and generates electrical energy

Cold water drinking fountain
Computer monitor
Decorative night lighting
Shed to park vehicles
Street lighting
Wi-Fi modules
• Solar energy is becoming more economical and
required less maintenance.
• The Structure can be designed with storage/
Rechargeable Battery for cloudy days and lights

Conclusion
 Solar Tree sounds like the perfect solution for our future
energy needs. Solar tree is a revolutionary urban lighting
concept that represents a perfect symbiosis between
Pioneering design and cutting edge eco-compatible
technology. The tree design made 50% more electricity and
the collection time of sunlight was up to 50% longer. It
helps the Environment, Saves money, cheap to use and you
can have them on you home. It’s free and last for lifetime
and environment friendly.

  • 3. 3 Introduction  Now-a-days with growing population and energy demand we should take a renewable option of energy source and also we should keep in mind that energy should not cause population and other natural hazards.  In this case solar energy is best option.  India is highly populated country, so we should take the advantages of such an energy which required a very less space to produce energy efficiently.  In this case solar tree be the best one for us.
  • 4. 4 What is Solar Tree?  A Solar tree is a decorative means of producing solar energy and also electricity. It uses multiple no. of solar panels which forms the shape of a tree. TREE stands for  T – Tree generating  R – Renewable  E – Energy  E – Electricity This is a like a tree in structure and the panels are like leaves of the tree produce energy. Why we called it as Solar Tree? As we know tree makes their own food by the process of PHOTOSYNTHESIS. Now in solar tree consider it as tree, the solar panels are like leaves. These panels produces energy as the leaves produces. So it is very appropriate to called it as Solar Tree.

Technique Used • The Technique used in solar tree is Spiralling Phyllotoxy. • It is the unique technique used so as to make sure that every cell in panel gets equal amount of solar energy. • It provide the way to help the lower panel from the shadow of upper panel, so it can trap maximum solar light as upper panel. • This technique is used to increase the efficiency of plant. 5
  • 6. 6 Working of Solar Tree It is difficult to store to electrical energy is for all electric power system. Solar Tree panels charge batteries during daytime. At dusk, the solar tree switches ON its LED automatically. The internal control can also regulates the amount of light produced on how much charge is left in the batteries. A sensor measures an amount of light in the atmosphere and triggers the solar lamps to switch ON automatically at sunset and OFF at dawn. Tracking system reduces solar cell output fluctuations caused by day and night cycle and weather shifts. Basics components of a solar tree 1. Photo voltaic modules 2. Cables for connecting modules 3. Inverter 4. Batteries 5. Steel structure 6. Charging points/ LED’s Depending on the application the components may vary.
  • 7. 7 Why it is Better than Traditional system? For the traditional system we require large area of land. For example, To generate 2MW power we required 10- 12 acre land for housing the panel only. For the same amount of energy we required only 0.10-0.12 acre of land in case of Solar Tree.

Application The solar trees look a lot likes a real tree, but the branch is changed for Solar panels, that takes Sun’s energy and generates electrical energy • This energy can be used for Charge your Smart-phones & Tablets Cold water drinking fountain Computer monitor Decorative night lighting Shed to park vehicles Street lighting Wi-Fi modules • Solar energy is becoming more economical and required less maintenance. • The Structure can be designed with storage/ Rechargeable Battery for cloudy days and lights up LEDs at night. 8
