different seeds

seed come in different sizes, shapes, and
colors.
some seed germinate easily while others
need certain conditions to be met before
they will germinate.
how do seeds travel

seed travel by wind, water, gravity, and
air.
what is the outer covering of a seed
called.
Gymnosperm is a plant that has seeds unprotected by an
ovary or fruit.
Angiosperm a plant that has flowers and produces seeds enclosed
within a fruit
Hypothesis

• if we plant seeds horizontal and vertical
the vertical bean seed will germinate
because it will have more chances to grow.
• given a cup filled with news paper will grow
and supplied with water and energy then it
  will develop.
Variables

• independent variable (doesn’t change in
    experiment)

• Bean seed, water, same Environment (light/
    temperature), and same paper towels.

• Dependent variable (result that changes in
experiment, usually what we are testing.

• germination of the seed.
Experiment

• To test our hypothesis we plant seed beans
in to different directions that are horizontal
and vertical next we planted the seeds in a
cup with wet paper towel and then placed
it in the window sill and finally watch them
  germinate.
DATA
Photo one is berly starting to
         germinate.

photo two has it shell cracking
but it also starting to grow some
               roots.

photo three has already left it
shell and is starting to grow.

photo four is done growing .
Results From Data
  When we planted seeds
vertical and horinzontal they
 germinated the same rate.

It doesn’t mater where you
  plant the seeds they will
always grow and germinate.
