Social Validation
Rosanna Guadagno, Nicole Muscanell, Lindsay Rice, and Nicole Roberts studied the impact of
social validation and the likability on compliance in 2013. The principle of social validation by
Cialdini (2009) looks at the social norms, which are the rules of behavior and are considered
acceptable in a group or a society and looked at behavior of other people to know how to behave in
situations. The principle was based of descriptive norms, which are typical patterns of behavior
accompanied by the expectation of people behaving to the pattern. The literature was reviewed by
Guadagno and Cialdini and they wanted to look at two different parts of social influence. First, they
wanted to focus on the compliance, which is without pressure for the behavior ... Show more

The study that the researchers done only focused on the understanding of online social influence
processes and suggesting that social influence principles extend to the online contexts. The
researchers stated, "Future research should continue to consider how delivering influence attempts
via other online contexts, such as social networking sites, impact compliance with an influence
attempt" (Guadango, Muscanell, Rice, and Roberts, 2013). The results that the researchers presented
had limitations. One of the limitations was that whether the results generalized other forms of social
influence is unknown. And the second limitation was that the participants were mostly female. For
this study, I agree with the conclusion of this experiment because the researchers made a good
experiment, but they had flaws in

Project Pluto Will Adopt The Incremental Build Model Essay
Project Pluto will adopt the Incremental–build model to deliver the required objectives. It is a build–
test–demonstrate model of iterative development in which frequent demonstrations of progress and
verification and validation of work to date are emphasized. Business requirements are allocated to
various elements of the software architecture, and the architecture is partitioned into a prioritized
sequence of builds. Each build adds new capabilities to the incrementally growing product. The
Incremental–build model provides Project Pluto with the "advantages of continuous integration,
verification, and validation of the evolving product, frequent demonstration of progress, early
warning of problems, early delivery of subset capabilities, and systematic incorporation of rework
that may occur during the software development" (Fairley, 2009, p. 64). A significant advantage of
an Incremental–build process is that features built first are verified, validated, and demonstrated
most frequently because subsequent builds incorporate the features of the earlier builds. In building
the software to control a nuclear reactor, for example, the emergency shutdown software could be
built first. Operation of emergency shutdown (scramming) would then be verified and validated in
conjunction with the features of each successive build. Planning an Incremental–build project
involves planning for analysis and design plus planning the number of and frequency of

Measurement and Validation
Case 4: Measurement and Validation Introduction The task of finding well–rounded employees is an
eternal challenge for most companies, a fact which makes the work of the Human Resources
department eternally important. Employees need to not simply be effective at their immediate tasks;
they need to demonstrate aspect of strong character, trustworthiness and growth. Thus, the task of
doing research to determine the best methods for screening employees is indeed a legitimate one.
Data of Tables 3.1 and 3.2 Tanglewood's traditional selection method uses previous experience in
the fields of education, work experience, and interview score to predict citizenship, absence,
performance and promotion potential. Education had the best correlation at 0.17 and a p–value <
0.01. Education is seen as statistically significant but not practically significant. Work experience
was a decent predictor of performance and promotion potential. Work experience had a 0.22
correlation to performance and a p–value < 0.01. Even better, work experience had a correlation to
promotion potential of 0.25. Work experience was statistically significant to both performance and
promotion potential. It also had a p–value < 0.01. Interview score had a correlation of 0.32 and a p–
value < 0.01 with promotion potential. Interview score is seen as statistically significantly and
practically significant. On the proposed methods for Tanglewood, we have plenty of options to

Computer Devices And Its Impact On Our Day Life
1 Introduction
Nowadays, smartphone users are Increasing day by day, and these smart devices has gain so much
importance in our day to day life as they are used as primary source of computation. Manufacturers
are also building smart devices even more powerful by introducing good CPU, GPU, RAM, Display
Technologies, etc. Today "Android" owns most of the market share in smart devices [1]. According
to International Data Corporation (IDC), total market shares of Android in 2015 2nd quarter is about
82.8% [1]. Display is one of the most important part in any smart device because most of the
device's functionality is offered through its display only. For rendering intensive graphical contents,
display technologies such as Super Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode (AMOLED) [2],
In–Plane Switching (IPS) [3], Retina [4] came into existence. Super AMOLED was announced by
Samsung in January 2010 and now it is used in many Samsung devices where as Retina technology
is developed by Apple Corp. and today it is used in majority of apple products. To ensure that the
device is capable of rendering high quality graphics, it is necessary to check that whether device
supports all of the required display functionalities i.e. proper display validation is required. "Display
Validation" will let you know that which all display functionalities are supported on your device.
Since Android is one of the most popular Operating Systems, we focus our research work on
Android. We proposed "Android

Database Migration Is The Transportation Of Data From...
INTRODUCTION
Database migration is the transportation of data from existing database to new database. With the
advancement in technologies, upgrade in database data migration has become frequent and change
in legal regularity is also a reason. To cope with better performance of the application and better
outcome to the organization it is critical to achieve the migration in time, budget and allocated
resources. Johny Morris, in [1] related data migration as "the selection, preparation, extraction,
transformation, and permanent movement of appropriate data that is of the right quality to the right
place at the right time and the decommissioning of legacy data stores." Migrating data from source
to destination is not just copy pasting the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The best practice for data migration is to use a tool or process that involves iterative approach and
the answer is ETL, which is used during migration to extract data from legacy system then
transform the data in required format and finally load in the target database. Some literatures verify
the saying that ETL is more preferred tool for data migration. 41% of projects use ETL, on the
second spot of most popular techniques being hand coded solutions with 27% [5]ETL has
consolidated tools support[6]. The success of ETL tools is also due to the fact that Business
Intelligence and Data Warehousing makes use of this paradigm [7].
[8] Discussed a substantial escalation in data quality based on the observation of statistical analysis
before and after using automated ETL.
After successful migration, the main issue lies with the integrity of quality data at target database
which is done by data validation testing. A few of the existing methodologies of data validation
testing is discussed in brief here in which some follows manual approach and other uses automated
approach with their limitations.
Some ongoing methodologies include:
1. Lines of code
This is the simplest process for validation data. It uses COUNT operator and counts number of lines
in both legacy and target databases and then compares them. If the rows in both databases are equal
then it is considered as successful migration.

Computer technology has advanced enough to help auditors find more efficient ways to audit. By
using different auditing techniques and utilizing audit productivity software auditors can find errors
in a business computer system faster and easier. Using this type of computer technology improves
Audit documentation and processes. Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques or CAAT's can be
used to validate data and system integrity by using different types such as testing data, integrated

Fabricated test data is prepared and integrated into the program, it is run through the application and
the results are compared to the results that are expected to be obtained. The test deck method
depends a lot on the abilities of the auditor to anticipate and capture all deviations and exceptions.
The auditor must be able to find and use different scenarios that may arise in order to detect errors.
An auditor must be able to analyze the data appropriately and carefully so that any errors are not
overlooked. Auditors can use another technique similar to the test deck method. The test deck
method is used by not incorporating it with live data. However, integrated test facility method is
used the same way except that it is incorporated with live data and is run through the client's system
along with normal transaction processing. The last technique used is called parallel simulation. With
this technique the auditor uses audit software to reproduce a part of an application or the entire
application to test data on. The data that is run on the client's original application is used again and
run on the reproduced program and the results are compared and any errors analyzed.
Functions of Audit Productivity Software
Productivity software is a tool used to assist auditors in performing their tasks more efficiently.
Audit productivity software is useful to an auditor because it performs functions such as risk

So Worth Loving Analysis
AMES, IA – Fashion brand, So Worth Loving, based in Atlanta, Georgia welcomed over 70 students
across the nation to be campus ambassadors to spread their message of worth and self–love. Laurel
Murphy was selected to represent So Worth Loving at Iowa State University. On May 2nd, 2016,
students are welcome to attend the "hope" event at the Memorial Union in the food court. Laurel
says, "I want to bring optimism in the midst of hardships during finals, rather than let stress defeat
the mind, I want hope to overcome the negativity." A table with paper and writing utensils will be
located near The Cranny for students to write an uplifting message for themselves, friends, or the
public. They are invited to tape the paper to the walls surrounding the food court. Phrases such as, "I
am not defined by my grades" or "I am worthy because I have overcome battles" are examples of
what can be seen on the wall; however, each person is unique and has a different story to tell.

Personal Experience : My Best Friend
To start, I really enjoyed this assignment, it gave me a ton of validation in the growth and self
transformation I have been working on in these last few years. About two years ago I really hurt
someone that I deeply cared about and it sent me into this spiral of questioning who I was and what
I stood for. It felt like I had lost my morals and I was now on a path of rediscovery. I was also taking
Professor Bess's Being Human class at the time so there was a lot of introspective learning in that
environment as well. I decided to ask my best friend of 10 years, Marnie, my best friend from my
Israel program, Yossi, my "love/hate" friend from the same Israel program, Julian, and my best
friend from Goucher, Kira. Each of these people have seen me through some of my worst times and
share my same blunt honesty. Although there were a lot of overlaps in their answers, I was surprised
by some of the things each of them picked up on. When asking about my weaknesses, Marnie really
surprised me with her answer. She is the most outgoing person and could enter a room of strangers
and feel right at home, which is something I've always admired about her. But she hasn't always
been the most observant person, so I was expecting her to say I was shy because she has always
made it clear that she feels I need to be more outgoing. So, when I asked her about my weaknesses,
she said, "You're not shy, you're selective at where you put your energy. But almost too selective

[pic] ZigBee Wireless Mesh Networking for Monitoring & Control What is ZigBee? ZigBee is a
consortium of software, hardware and services companies that have developed a common standard
for wireless networking of sensors and controllers. While other wireless standards are concerned
with exchanging large amounts of data, ZigBee is for devices that have smaller throughput needs.
The other driving factors are low cost, high reliability, high security, low battery usage, simplicity
and interoperability with other ZigBee devices. ZigBee can be used in commercial applications such
as building maintenance for monitoring and controlling lights, Heating, Ventilation and Air
Conditioning (HVAC), smoke alarms, fire ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If one device should fail, the path is automatically rerouted through other nodes on the network. In
this way the networks become "self healing". ZigBee uses 128 bit AES encryption algorithms for a
highly secure network. In commercial or industrial settings, hackers might try to perform a Denial
of Lighting, similar to a Denial of Service on internet sites that they hack into. This might not be
done only to be disruptive, but on large buildings in major cities, hackers might be tempted to black
out only some lights in order to spell words or slogans with the remaining lights. Triggering fire
alarms could also be an effective way to get a target out of a building and in the open in an
assassination attempt. Access control through wireless connections might lead to break–ins and
burglary in an insecure environment. For these reasons ZigBee has been designed to have a high
level of security. In order for ZigBee to catch on in businesses and homes it needs to be simple to set
up the network and to add new devices. ZigBee networks rely on simplicity and ease of setup. In
most instances a new device is simply synchronized with the existing network by placing the two
devices close together and pressing a button on each device at the same time. Battery life of a device
is an important consideration in the design of the ZigBee standard. Many devices will have simple

Monitoring In Neonates Validation
Study 3: Validation of Oxygen Saturation Monitoring in Neonates The third study reviewed was
written by Shyang–Yun Pamela K. Shiao and Ching–Nan Ou (2007), and is titled Validation of
Oxygen Saturation Monitoring in Neonates. The objective of this particular study was to validate
whether the clinical monitor was correct in recording oxygen saturations, comparing the results to
blood samples. According to this study, blood was obtained for this research through catheters that
were inserted through the umbilical artery and the umbilical vein to obtain the levels of oxygen in
blood. The neonates used for this study included neonates in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Included in this study were neonates that were born with respiratory distress ... Show more content

The studies are also similar in that they all are examining oxygen saturation levels in neonates. The
first study and second study both used reusable probes to detect oxygen saturation. The objectives
are dissimilar between the three studies. The objective of the first study was done in order to
determine the ease of implementing pulse oximetry screenings in community hospitals, the second
study seeks to evaluate the effectiveness of the pulse oximetry screenings, and the third study seeks
to compare and validate oxygen saturation levels that show up on clinical monitors, to blood
samples of the neonates. The procedures done in each of the studies were different: the first study
was done by a pulse oximeter placed on the right hand and a second pulse oximeter placed on either
of the feet. The second study was done only by a single pulse oximeter placed only on either foot.
The third study was done by drawing blood from the neonate and comparing the results of the blood
to what the pulse oximeter said, which was placed on either of the neonates feet. The studies all
differed in the parameters that they used. In the first study, a healthy neonate had an oxygen
saturation greater than 95%, with less than a 3% difference in the saturations detected by the pulse
oximeter on the right hand, and the one on the foot. In the second study, a normal saturation was
considered to be 94% or greater. In the third study, a normal pulse oximeter reading was defined as
being at 95% or greater. The studies differ in the level of education provided for the nursing staff,
also. In study one, there was education and training provided for all nursing staff that worked in
labor and delivery, and on the mother/baby floors. In the second study, there was no education or
training provided, other than on the use of a pulse oximeter. In the third study, no education or
training was noted on performing the procedure,

Questionnaire is one of the most popular techniques for gathering data, where questions in a
questionnaire are designed to be answered asynchronously, i.e. without the presence of the
investigator. A goal must be set, before developing the questionnaire, as developer would like to
have relevant reasons before starting working on something. Targeting the participants is another
important element of collecting data through online questionnaire. In many ways questionnaire is
similar to interviews as questions could be open or closed. Since interviewer is not present or in a

For example when a participant is asked about to enter his/her date of birth, a pop up message could
tell them what date format needs to be used. Data validation could easily be implemented in web–
based questionnaire, which will warn the user about invalid data and tell them what is expected. At
the same time this would help the researchers from not having invalid data when analyzing in the
lab. For example, when asked a teacher "what year the school was established?", the answer has to
be a four digit number less than or equal to current year and will not accept text as input. By writing
a validation rule in the back end, this could be accomplished (max char size = 4 and reg. expression
(/d) which will only accept 4 digit number). Skip logic is another simple aspect of web–based
questionnaire and it must be implemented when creating and designing a interactive questionnaire.
If a respondent answer a question 'Yes' or 'No', designer can store '1' or '2' in back–end for
comparison purpose. Based on the comparison result, a question or a series of questions can be
skipped. For example, if a respondent answers 'No' when asked if he/she likes to use iPad, rest of the
iPad features related questions can be skipped. Skip logic can be helpful targeting a age range as
well. Another easy aspect of creating and conducting an online questionnaire is faster response rate
and automatic transfer of responses

Multicultural Validation Report
I have heard many stories about how people struggle to adjust during their first year of college, both
in to regards to academics and establishing relationships. Knowing this it is my hope that through
the Multicultural Validation Program I can make the most of school resources and become a student
at UWL who strives for academic success and is also engaged in residence and campus life
activities.
With UWL being four times as large as my high school, I would be remiss to say that the prospect of
navigating college life does not seem daunting. In an environment where everything and everyone is
new to me, I believe MVP will enable me to continue my plans of engagement in residence and
campus life through activities and its mentorship program. Even living in the same spaces as other
program members makes the notion less daunting. The prospect of living in a community where I
am surrounded with other multicultural students is exciting. My experiences in high school have not

everything independently, I am aware this may not be the case. I know in my first year I will face

Validation Therapy Essay
Validation Therapy Overview
Validation therapy, also referred to as VT, is a therapeutic modality developed by the so– cial worker
Naomi Feil (Jones & Miesen, 2008). This method is targeted towards individuals with dementia and
it focuses on the idea that some individuals with dementia have their own per– ception of reality.
Thus, caregivers and workers who use validation therapy use techniques to ac– knowledge and
accept individuals' personal reality. Furthermore, the concept of reality encom– passes various
aspects of individuals' lives such as their feelings, losses and basic needs which guide their
behaviours (Jones & Miesen, 2008). Caregivers using this method accept these fac– tors rather than

Firstly, the behaviours ex– hibited by the individual with dementia are categorized into four stages
which are memory dis– turbance and self–defensive behaviour, time confusion, repetitive motion
and the vegetative stage, in which individuals express minimal movement (Jones & Miesen, 2008).
Being able to categorize individuals' behaviour into one of the stages above, allows the person using
validation therapy to move to the next component of the approach which is the application of verbal
and
Validation Therapy Effectiveness !6 non–verbal communication suited to the needs and abilities of
the individual with dementia. The third component of validation is the focus on individuals with
late–onset disorientation, thus ac– knowledging that individuals have had a relatively normal life
prior to being diagnosed with de– mentia (Jones & Miesen, 2008).
The core assumption of the validation method is that behaviour is not solely dependent on brain
function. According to this framework, behaviour is guided by a combination of physical and
psychosocial factors including damage to recent factual memory, eyes and ears, accumulated losses
throughout individuals' lives which could include loved ones, social roles and identity (Parkinson,
2008). The coping mechanisms that individuals have developed throughout the years in times of
difficulty also play an important role in the way individuals express themselves through their

Validation In The Canterbury Tales Essay
One of the main forces behind humanity's drive to be a good person is validation. Religion is a way
for people to become better and receive validation from others. In Geoffrey Chaucer's The
Canterbury Tales, Chaucer writes about a large group of people on a pilgrimage, who keep
themselves occupied by telling stories to each other. The Canterbury Tales shows how many
different kinds of people find validation through religion. The Canterbury Tales makes it seem as
though the only reason people followed religion was to receive acceptance from others through the
Church because the characters do not take religion or God seriously. Religious figures on the
pilgrimage, like the Friar and the Prioress, break their promises of chastity to God constantly, yet
they continue to claim they are good figures of the Church because people think more highly of
them if they are practicing abstinence. The Prioress is not truly faithful to God, which is seen in her
"brooch of shining gold; inscribed thereon/ Was, first of all, a crowned 'A',/ And under, [love
conquers all]," (7). The Prioress is a nun who supposedly devoted herself to God through marriage.
When a nun declares herself faithful to God, it means that she will practice abstinence. A brooch
that says "love conquers all" implies that the person wearing it is someone for whom their promise
to god is second to their desire for worldly love. Likewise, the Prioress also accepts gifts from men,
showing once again that she does not take

Taking a Look at Validation Models
Schemas are important validation tools which can ensure data is valid and well formed for use.
There are different varieties that can be used to verify a document and ensure conformance to
standards. Some use a tree hierarchy and others just simple constructs. Lee and Chu (2000) note the
following in their paper; DTD, XSD, SOX, Schematron and DSD. Fawcett et al (2012) mention
Schematron, DTD, RELAX NG, and XSD. I will discuss some of these in comparison to DTD and
XSD which are follow–ons from this week's Schema discussions.
DTD
This Schema type on uses attributes and elements and follows a hierarchy in structure type. It is
very simplistic and uses few attribute definitions, and does not follow XML type syntax. However,
despite its simplistic nature, it is the most widely used standard according to Lee and Chu (2000).
XSD
The true XML Schema Definition is very different from DTD in that it can be very granular in its
descriptive elements and follows XML syntax rules. This can make it very powerful, in its support
of namespaces and true data types, allowing for better conformity and use in data transformation
and query. Another strength of XML Schema is it inheritance, which can simplify some reuse of
attributes and combining of Schema documents. Its weakness goes hand in hand with its strength as
the complexity it allows for causes confusion by all but the most advanced users according to
Fawcett et al (2012).

Process validation Protocol and Report
Chapter–1: Introduction
In today's highly regulated environment for development and manufacturing of Pharmaceutical

The Analysis On The System
First, data is prepared for being processed through sequential subsequent phases. First for every
image per subject is loaded in the gray scale mode. Next, vein image is adjusted using a threshold
detected adaptive for each image. The vein image is segmented to recognize the region of interest,
vein region. For the vein region a feature extractor is used to extract the most power features exists.
These features are stored labeled for the subject name for father classification and recognition.

Histogram of Gradient, HOG, is a filter based on a moveable window that is playing important role
of quantity and quality of the features extracted from the vein shape. In finger vein of any person,
the vein contain thick sharp lines in horizontal and vertical direction which represents constrains
over the process of feature extraction. In the used dataset, vein image is directed in horizontal
direction that leads to modify the window of the HOG filter to be adaptive over the vein lines. The
window of the filter start scans from left to right at the top towards bottom. The window used for
extracting features based on mining the rectangle region bounded by the window circumstance. The
set of features is adaptive incremental to get all over the features of the vein for being vectored.
HOG is effective feature extraction mechanism for getting feature in gray level color schema based
on gradient operator. HOG is proposed by using a rectangular cell moving over the pixels of image
regardless of direction or histogram of the image. The proposed modification of the HOG cell leads
to gain the pros of both ordinary HOG approach besides tracking line feature that track the direction
of line. That is achieved by dedicating the vein direction in horizontal followed by a directed
window. On other hand of the proposed recognition system, another feature extraction is modified
and optimized to be used known as

Data query is a CAAT that can detect fraud. A data query is a search to determine if the results fit
within the context of evidence of the audits. The test includes tests of controls, substantive testing,
and interviews with client personnel, risk assessment performed during audit planning, and the
environment in which the business operates. The auditor should consider, for example: ■ Does the
evidence make sense when other relevant trends are considered? ■ Does the evidence support
assertions made by management or employees? ■ Does the CAAT pertain to an area identified as
high risk? Functions of Audit Productivity Software
If an auditor uses audit production software, they should notice and increase in effectiveness and
productivity. Automation of data can save an auditor time and effort. Also, the CAAT can mismatch
items and regulatory issues. Another advantage an auditor gains are electronic working papers,
groupware, time and billing, reference libraries and document management. Electronic paper
increases productivity because the auditor no longer is spending time on manually auditing work
papers (Hunton 2004). Groupware allows sharing of information across firms and between the
auditor and the clients (Hunton 2004). Time and billing software can ease the formerly erroneous
process of accounting for chargeable hours and compiling and preparing bills

The Structure Of The Foundation Of Json Schema
Foundation of JSON Schema
Introduction
JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) is the most popular semi structured data format for sending API
requests and responses but it is still lacking a standardized schema or meta data definition that
allows the developers to specify the structure of JSON documents. JSON is a data format based on
the data types of JavaScript Programming. JSON data models comprises of strings, numbers and
other types of data that database system treats as atomic. JSON is also used for storing data, and that
too in the format of choice for several document–oriented databases such as MongoDB[3] and
CouchDB[5]. This paper has been formally arranged in a way that it provides the reader complete
understanding of what JSON is and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the next step, the practical use case of increasing importance is demonstrated in Schema
definition for Wikidata [6].
All the six types of valid JSON document such as object, array, string. Numbers, boolean values and
null can be specified by a JSON schema. Here, the key point to understand is that a JSON document
satisfies a schema if it satisfies all keywords of schema. Formally, a schema S and a document J can
be represented as J|= S to describe that J satisfies S. |= is to define all six types of JSON document
as well as their combinations and enumerations.
Formal Analysis
The efficiency of working with JSON schema and its expressive power is discussed in this section.
It is observed whether the computational cost of document conforms to a schema. Later, JSON
schema is compared with various well established theoretical formalisms such as nondeterministic
finite state automata.
Practical Considerations
To understand the efficiency and applicability of JSON Schema, an experimental analysis is
undergone in this section of the article where the author initially runs a series of experiments to test
self–developed validators under JSON document of increasing sizes. Later, a real use case named
Wikidata Database is used where JSON schema can be naturally used.

The Loss Of The Creature By Walker Percy
In the essay "The Loss of the Creature", Walker Percy highlights his observations on how people
perceive the world. He argues that we have lost original, self–driven learning because people only
measure their experiences based on other people's expectations. He states how these preconceived
expectations of our experiences give way to a symbolic complex. This complex is set by what
people or "Layman" believe the experts have set. Therefore, their experience is only validated if
people feel that they have met those criteria. He believes that people can only have a true experience
if they forgo all those preconceived expectations and biases. Only then can people truly experience
something at face value. To present his ideas in a more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

from the experience of the canyon. We do not get to discover what the canyon means to us but are
walked through what the experts believe is the best way to see it. He puts it best by using the
example of the tourist who has waited his whole life to see the canyon. Once he gets there, he is
only comparing what he sees in front of him with what he has seen in other places like postcards
and pictures. He says that we do not appreciate the sheer vastness or the enormity of what has been
laid in front of us but instead spend our time taking pictures and judging our experiences by how
many shots we take. Daily, I fight a battle with social media. The most prominent example is not
getting wrapped up in taking pictures and up loading them for others to see and "Like". I make a
conscious effort to make sure my life does not consist of getting validation from others about my
thoughts or my actions. There is a fine line between sharing and sharing for authentication. This
causes people to give others the ability to assign value to a person's experiences. Not only is the
value detracted by our expectations but by the

In order to ensure the compliance and all annual verifications are completed accurately, the Coast
Guard must create a self–service function located within Direct Access that would generate each
form electronically. Each member would be responsible to update their required data information
during the annually required period (ref (b)), through a self–service function within Direct Access.
However, the self–service function would give the member the ability to change the forms following
a life event when needed and not just during the required period. Once the member completes the
data entry requirements within each section, the system would automatically apply an official
signature, including a time and date stamp (ref (f)). Adding the electronic signature process would
ensure that the forms were not altered and were generated by the member. Currently, these forms are
filled out by hand and are maintained in the SPO PDR (ref (g)). Far too many times these forms are
being reproduced erroneously resulting in numerous forms stored between multiple PDRs creating
confusion of validity and benefit elections. By implementing an electronic validation system,
following the member's digital signature, the forms would automatically be assigned to the SPO
work–list for review, verification and electronic signature from the SPO technician. Upon
verification and approval, Direct Access would automatically generate a deduction from the
members pay account corresponding with the coverage elected on the SGLV 8286 and SGLV 8286A
forms. Establishing this function would eliminate hundreds of wasted work–hours annually for both
the members and SPO technicians. Each document would then be uploaded in the member's
Electronically Imaged PDR for easy availability for the Decedent Affairs Officer (DAO) following a

Effects Of Curriculum On Elementary School Physical Education
In Step 2 the authors stated purpose was to "Determine the effects of a curriculum designed by
following social constructivist learning theory on learning fitness knowledge critical to healthful
living in elementary school physical education. Specifically, we asked whether and to what extent
curriculum influences elementary school students' knowledge gain in three areas important to fitness
development and healthful living: cardiorespiratory health, muscular capacity, and the principle of
maintaining body flexibility and good nutrition." (Sun, Chen, Zhu & Ennis, 2012, p. 217). After
finishing their research study, the authors asserted that the results of the investigation concluded that
"The superior knowledge gain in students who experienced the treatment curriculum can be
attributed to the impact of the curriculum. Contributing factors include curricular coherence and the
emphasis on helping students internalize the knowledge and skills in the curriculum and creating a
highly learning– oriented learning community in which ZPDs can be meaningfully determined for
students to enrich the learning experience. With the development of redefining learning as
conceptual change in education, the evidence, based on knowledge gain determined by standardized
tests, may be limiting still. Further studies incorporating conceptual change measures should be
conducted to further our understanding of the power of curriculum on learning." (Sun, Chen, Zhu &

In addition to the audit plan for the analyzed processes, of Kudler Fine Foods, encouragement of
ways to improve audit documentation and process, by using computer technology was addressed to
Kudler's management team. As a result, Kudler Fine Foods management team is considering
incorporating proposed computer assisted auditing techniques (CAATs) within its systems. CAATs
will increase efficiency levels of an auditor's personal productivity during analysis and data

 Generalized Audit Software (GAS) – allows the auditor to perform tests on computer files and

 Custom Audit Software (CAS) – generally written by auditors for specific audit tasks. CAS is
necessary when the organization's computer system is not compatible with the auditor's GAS or
when the auditor wants to conduct some testing that may not be possible with the GAS.
 Test Data – the auditor uses test data for testing the application controls in the client's computer
programs. The auditor includes simulated valid and invalid test data, used to test the accuracy of the
computer system's operations. This technique can be used to check data validation controls and error
detection routines, processing logic controls, and arithmetic calculations, to name a few.
 Parallel Simulation – the auditor must construct a computer simulation that mimics the client's
production programs.
 Integrated Test Facility – the auditor enters test data along with actual data in a normal
application run (Pogrob, K. & Isenberg, G., 1999).

In a world where information is at your fingertips, privacy and security are the new luxury. The
question then is posed as: How do we deal with the issue of trust and find a solution that will make

Blockchain is said to be a product of the new digital currency movement however others will argue
that cryptocurrencies are a direct result from the blockchain design. Let's explore further and then
you can determine which came first.
I will start by explaining the development of the blockchain followed by the purpose and process in
which it operates. Then, I will explain the blockchain in relation to cryptocurrencies and give a brief
description of the top ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To this day, no one knows who is the creator of the blockchain or the cryptocurrency Bitcon, but we
can derive, from the references in the portable document format on bitcoin.org, that the idea is not
original to the creator. Nonetheless, the creation of the file put forth a working idea for "a [...] peer–
to–peer version of electronic cash [that] would allow online payments to be sent directly from one
party to another without going through a financial institution" and" the network [would] timestamp
transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain hashed–based–proof–of–work forming a record
that cannot be changed without redoing the proof–of–work" (Nakamoto, "Bitcoin").
What is the blockchain?
The blockchain is a very complex topic and like the internet you only need to know the basics of
how it works and not what goes behind the scenes, to have it running, because there would be others
with the capacity and knowledge to administer that part for the rest of us. Accordingly, I will

Social Validation In Social Media
Being addicted to social media is someone who spends too much time on Facebook, Twitter, and
other social media sites, which interferes with their daily lives. When a person is continuously on
social media it becomes an addiction, which causes them to loose focus of the importance around
them (meaning their everyday lives.) When social media takes over a person life they start to seek it
for social validation, fear of missing out, and finesse. Although some people use social media to stay
in contact with family and close friends, many use it showing off like they've got it all together,
leaving me to wonder the intentions of their post. Social validation is a pressure to become socially
accepted. Social validation is looked at as an important part in someone's life. Social validation
becomes important to the addict's life, because they'll be seen with their phone in hand checking for
how many like, followers, and etc they have which makes them feel validated. Social validation can
bring doubt into one's self esteem and confidence. When I had my social media accounts I thought
seeking for validation back than was the thing to do but I began to get over it. Social validation is
also someone who constantly post about themselves or even ten selfies of themselves a week. My
sister and cousin have a problem with always posting selfies, posting their location, and posting
what they're having to eat. I don't like that my sister and cousin seek to social media for approval

Requirements Of Requirements And Requirements
Question 1: When writing a requirements document, it is important to understand what it is that
you're writing. Requirements documents must be hierarchical, and also must be consistent.
Consistency is important, because one must be able to follow for whom he is defining requirements.
System requirements vary significantly from stakeholder requirements. As the requirements are
written, it is also important to maintain order along with consistency. If requirements are not ordered
very specifically, it will be easy to lose place of which requirements have already been defined.
When writing requirements statements and sets of requirements statements, one must maintain
uniqueness among each set. Consistency is not enough to disallow requirements from becoming
redundant. One may remain consistent with the hierarchy of the requirements statements, however it
is important to maintain uniqueness. The concept of hierarchy allows for a level of inheritance to be
developed. If a systems engineer finds that he or she is writing redundant requirements, it is
important that the SE evaluates the levels of inheritance. Repeating requirements can be detrimental
in a requirements document for multiple reasons. These requirements take up time and space for

being thorough. Also, the level of redundancy in a document predetermines the difficulty of

Reviewing The Data Validation Of Data Discrepancy In A...
Detailed description of the duties:
Data validation is the process of testing the validity of data in accordance with the protocol
specifications. Edit check programs are written to identify the discrepancies in the entered data,
which are embedded in the database, to ensure data validity. The beneficiary will write the program
according to the logic condition mentioned in the DVP. These edit check programs are initially
tested with dummy data containing discrepancies by the beneficiary. Discrepancy is defined as a
data point that fails to pass a validation check. Discrepancy may be due to inconsistent data, missing
data, range checks, and deviations from the protocol. These discrepancies will be answered by
investigator after logging into ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Social Validation

  • 1. Social Validation Rosanna Guadagno, Nicole Muscanell, Lindsay Rice, and Nicole Roberts studied the impact of social validation and the likability on compliance in 2013. The principle of social validation by Cialdini (2009) looks at the social norms, which are the rules of behavior and are considered acceptable in a group or a society and looked at behavior of other people to know how to behave in situations. The principle was based of descriptive norms, which are typical patterns of behavior accompanied by the expectation of people behaving to the pattern. The literature was reviewed by Guadagno and Cialdini and they wanted to look at two different parts of social influence. First, they wanted to focus on the compliance, which is without pressure for the behavior ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The study that the researchers done only focused on the understanding of online social influence processes and suggesting that social influence principles extend to the online contexts. The researchers stated, "Future research should continue to consider how delivering influence attempts via other online contexts, such as social networking sites, impact compliance with an influence attempt" (Guadango, Muscanell, Rice, and Roberts, 2013). The results that the researchers presented had limitations. One of the limitations was that whether the results generalized other forms of social influence is unknown. And the second limitation was that the participants were mostly female. For this study, I agree with the conclusion of this experiment because the researchers made a good experiment, but they had flaws in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Project Pluto Will Adopt The Incremental Build Model Essay Project Pluto will adopt the Incremental–build model to deliver the required objectives. It is a build– test–demonstrate model of iterative development in which frequent demonstrations of progress and verification and validation of work to date are emphasized. Business requirements are allocated to various elements of the software architecture, and the architecture is partitioned into a prioritized sequence of builds. Each build adds new capabilities to the incrementally growing product. The Incremental–build model provides Project Pluto with the "advantages of continuous integration, verification, and validation of the evolving product, frequent demonstration of progress, early warning of problems, early delivery of subset capabilities, and systematic incorporation of rework that may occur during the software development" (Fairley, 2009, p. 64). A significant advantage of an Incremental–build process is that features built first are verified, validated, and demonstrated most frequently because subsequent builds incorporate the features of the earlier builds. In building the software to control a nuclear reactor, for example, the emergency shutdown software could be built first. Operation of emergency shutdown (scramming) would then be verified and validated in conjunction with the features of each successive build. Planning an Incremental–build project involves planning for analysis and design plus planning the number of and frequency of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Measurement and Validation Case 4: Measurement and Validation Introduction The task of finding well–rounded employees is an eternal challenge for most companies, a fact which makes the work of the Human Resources department eternally important. Employees need to not simply be effective at their immediate tasks; they need to demonstrate aspect of strong character, trustworthiness and growth. Thus, the task of doing research to determine the best methods for screening employees is indeed a legitimate one. Data of Tables 3.1 and 3.2 Tanglewood's traditional selection method uses previous experience in the fields of education, work experience, and interview score to predict citizenship, absence, performance and promotion potential. Education had the best correlation at 0.17 and a p–value < 0.01. Education is seen as statistically significant but not practically significant. Computer Devices And Its Impact On Our Day Life 1 Introduction Nowadays, smartphone users are Increasing day by day, and these smart devices has gain so much importance in our day to day life as they are used as primary source of computation. Manufacturers are also building smart devices even more powerful by introducing good CPU, GPU, RAM, Display Technologies, etc. Today "Android" owns most of the market share in smart devices [1]. According to International Data Corporation (IDC), total market shares of Android in 2015 2nd quarter is about 82.8% [1]. Display is one of the most important part in any smart device because most of the device's functionality is offered through its display only. For rendering intensive graphical contents, display technologies such as Super Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode (AMOLED) [2], In–Plane Switching (IPS) [3], Retina [4] came into existence. Super AMOLED was announced by Samsung in January 2010 and now it is used in many Samsung devices where as Retina technology is developed by Apple Corp. and today it is used in majority of apple products. To ensure that the device is capable of rendering high quality graphics, it is necessary to check that whether device supports all of the required display functionalities i.e. proper display validation is required. With the advancement in technologies, upgrade in database data migration has become frequent and change in legal regularity is also a reason. To cope with better performance of the application and better outcome to the organization it is critical to achieve the migration in time, budget and allocated resources. Johny Morris, in [1] related data migration as "the selection, preparation, extraction, transformation, and permanent movement of appropriate data that is of the right quality to the right place at the right time and the decommissioning of legacy data stores." The best practice for data migration is to use a tool or process that involves iterative approach and the answer is ETL, which is used during migration to extract data from legacy system then transform the data in required format and finally load in the target database. Some literatures verify the saying that ETL is more preferred tool for data migration. 41% of projects use ETL, on the second spot of most popular techniques being hand coded solutions with 27% [5]ETL has consolidated tools support[6]. The success of ETL tools is also due to the fact that Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing makes use of this paradigm [7]. [8] Discussed a substantial escalation in data quality based on the observation of statistical analysis before and after using automated ETL. After successful migration, the main issue lies with the integrity of quality data at target database which is done by data validation testing. A few of the existing methodologies of data validation testing is discussed in brief here in which some follows manual approach and other uses automated approach with their limitations. Some ongoing methodologies include: 1. Lines of code This is the simplest process for validation data. It uses COUNT operator and counts number of lines in both legacy and target databases and then compares them. If the rows in both databases are equal then it is considered as successful migration. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Personal Experience : My Best Friend To start, I really enjoyed this assignment, it gave me a ton of validation in the growth and self transformation I have been working on in these last few years. About two years ago I really hurt someone that I deeply cared about and it sent me into this spiral of questioning who I was and what I stood for. It felt like I had lost my morals and I was now on a path of rediscovery. I was also taking Professor Bess's Being Human class at the time so there was a lot of introspective learning in that environment as well. I decided to ask my best friend of 10 years, Marnie, my best friend from my Israel program, Yossi, my "love/hate" friend from the same Israel program, Julian, and my best friend from Goucher, Kira. Each of these people have seen me through some of my worst times and share my same blunt honesty. Although there were a lot of overlaps in their answers, I was surprised by some of the things each of them picked up on. When asking about my weaknesses, Marnie really surprised me with her answer. She is the most outgoing person and could enter a room of strangers and feel right at home, which is something I've always admired about her. But she hasn't always been the most observant person, so I was expecting her to say I was shy because she has always made it clear that she feels I need to be more outgoing. ZigBee is a consortium of software, hardware and services companies that have developed a common standard for wireless networking of sensors and controllers. While other wireless standards are concerned with exchanging large amounts of data, ZigBee is for devices that have smaller throughput needs. The other driving factors are low cost, high reliability, high security, low battery usage, simplicity and interoperability with other ZigBee devices. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If one device should fail, the path is automatically rerouted through other nodes on the network. In this way the networks become "self healing". ZigBee uses 128 bit AES encryption algorithms for a highly secure network. In commercial or industrial settings, hackers might try to perform a Denial of Lighting, similar to a Denial of Service on internet sites that they hack into. This might not be done only to be disruptive, but on large buildings in major cities, hackers might be tempted to black out only some lights in order to spell words or slogans with the remaining lights. Triggering fire alarms could also be an effective way to get a target out of a building and in the open in an assassination attempt. Access control through wireless connections might lead to break–ins and burglary in an insecure environment. For these reasons ZigBee has been designed to have a high level of security. In order for ZigBee to catch on in businesses and homes it needs to be simple to set up the network and to add new devices. ZigBee networks rely on simplicity and ease of setup. The procedures done in each of the studies were different: the first study was done by a pulse oximeter placed on the right hand and a second pulse oximeter placed on either of the feet. The second study was done only by a single pulse oximeter placed only on either foot. The third study was done by drawing blood from the neonate and comparing the results of the blood to what the pulse oximeter said, which was placed on either of the neonates feet. The studies all differed in the parameters that they used. At the same time this would help the researchers from not having invalid data when analyzing in the lab. For example, when asked a teacher "what year the school was established?", the answer has to be a four digit number less than or equal to current year and will not accept text as input. By writing a validation rule in the back end, this could be accomplished (max char size = 4 and reg. expression (/d) which will only accept 4 digit number). Skip logic is another simple aspect of web–based questionnaire and it must be implemented when creating and designing a interactive questionnaire. If a respondent answer a question 'Yes' or 'No', designer can store '1' or '2' in back–end for comparison purpose. Based on the comparison result, a question or a series of questions can be skipped. • 19. Validation In The Canterbury Tales Essay One of the main forces behind humanity's drive to be a good person is validation. Religion is a way for people to become better and receive validation from others. In Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, Chaucer writes about a large group of people on a pilgrimage, who keep themselves occupied by telling stories to each other. The Canterbury Tales shows how many different kinds of people find validation through religion. The Canterbury Tales makes it seem as though the only reason people followed religion was to receive acceptance from others through the Church because the characters do not take religion or God seriously. Religious figures on the pilgrimage, like the Friar and the Prioress, break their promises of chastity to God constantly, yet they continue to claim they are good figures of the Church because people think more highly of them if they are practicing abstinence. The Prioress is not truly faithful to God, which is seen in her "brooch of shining gold; inscribed thereon/ Was, first of all, a crowned 'A',/ And under, [love conquers all]," (7). The Prioress is a nun who supposedly devoted herself to God through marriage. When a nun declares herself faithful to God, it means that she will practice abstinence. A brooch that says "love conquers all" implies that the person wearing it is someone for whom their promise to god is second to their desire for worldly love. Likewise, the Prioress also accepts gifts from men, showing once again that she does not take ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 20. Taking a Look at Validation Models Schemas are important validation tools which can ensure data is valid and well formed for use. There are different varieties that can be used to verify a document and ensure conformance to standards. Some use a tree hierarchy and others just simple constructs. Lee and Chu (2000) note the following in their paper; DTD, XSD, SOX, Schematron and DSD. Fawcett et al (2012) mention Schematron, DTD, RELAX NG, and XSD. I will discuss some of these in comparison to DTD and XSD which are follow–ons from this week's Schema discussions. DTD This Schema type on uses attributes and elements and follows a hierarchy in structure type. It is very simplistic and uses few attribute definitions, and does not follow XML type syntax. However, despite its simplistic nature, it is the most widely used standard according to Lee and Chu (2000). XSD The true XML Schema Definition is very different from DTD in that it can be very granular in its descriptive elements and follows XML syntax rules. This can make it very powerful, in its support of namespaces and true data types, allowing for better conformity and use in data transformation and query. Another strength of XML Schema is it inheritance, which can simplify some reuse of attributes and combining of Schema documents. Its weakness goes hand in hand with its strength as the complexity it allows for causes confusion by all but the most advanced users according to Fawcett et al (2012). The Experimental Validation Of Theory 3.9 STAGE THREE: EXPERIMENTAL VALIDATION OF THEORY The conceptual framework combines the research carried out at the beginning of the study with the analysis of the use of existing, as well as the demand for new e–assessment instruments for NNES students learning outcome. It directs to develop a diagnostic tool that can be utilised by students and teachers in an e–assessment context which will empower the higher education sector and improve the conditions for continuous learning. On the surveys, giving NNES students the opportunity to put their suggestions forward and get involved to seek opinions on its development to explore learning outcome they want. Generally speaking, when we identify the exact problems from Data Analysis, we can interface with specification, and should be considering how those will map to the tool. The conceptual framework will be used in order to determine the functionality and content of the tool. Tool content structures and sample questions will be created for two competences: Knowledge and Literacy. This tool will be an educational management tool that stays with NNES students from that first, unformed idea all the way through to the final draft. • 42. Requirements Of Requirements And Requirements Question 1: When writing a requirements document, it is important to understand what it is that you're writing. Requirements documents must be hierarchical, and also must be consistent. Consistency is important, because one must be able to follow for whom he is defining requirements. System requirements vary significantly from stakeholder requirements. As the requirements are written, it is also important to maintain order along with consistency. If requirements are not ordered very specifically, it will be easy to lose place of which requirements have already been defined. When writing requirements statements and sets of requirements statements, one must maintain uniqueness among each set. Consistency is not enough to disallow requirements from becoming redundant. One may remain consistent with the hierarchy of the requirements statements, however it is important to maintain uniqueness. The concept of hierarchy allows for a level of inheritance to be developed. If a systems engineer finds that he or she is writing redundant requirements, it is important that the SE evaluates the levels of inheritance. Repeating requirements can be detrimental in a requirements document for multiple reasons. These requirements take up time and space for one. This document can be lengthy, but it must be easy to follow and as concise as possible while being thorough.
