Standards For Wright Aircraft Corp
1. Standards For Wright Aircraft Corp
Part One – Standards for Wright Aircraft Corp.
Standards are the rules which must be followed to enable an effective information security program.
Compliance with the standards is mandatory, but deviation is possible if approved by the
Information Security Officer.
Standards define the minimum, baseline procedures, practices, and configurations for systems,
applications, controls, networks, and related topics. They are designed to provide a single reference
point for use during software development and adoption, installation of systems and tools, and
during the contracts process with vendors and service providers.
Standards do not, however, give detailed command–line instructions on how to meet the company's
policies.(A)

4. Software Engineering : Software Development Cycle
Software Engineering Process When engineers design software, most engineers use a software
development methodology known as the Software Development Cycle (SDLC). The process is a
structure that is one my might is imposed on the software development community. There are a
number of models for this process and all use a variety of methods, tasks, and activates during their
own process. Here are two of the process models: Waterfall Process – this is where developers
execute their steps or phases in a defined order. In this order, they affirm requirements, analyze
those requirements, design a solution tactic, create a software framework that applies to the solution,
develop code, test that code, deploy, and support their solution (TutorialsPoints, 2016). Iterative
Process – this process establishes a straightforward implementation of a subcategories of the
software requirements and iteratively improves the progressing adaptations until the complete
system is implemented. At every iteration, design adjustments are made and new useful abilities are
enhanced. The simple idea behind this technique is to cultivate a system through repetitive cycles or
iterative and in reduced portions at a time or incremental (TutorialsPoints, 2016). In addressing the
challenges of managing software development activities, there are more than enough factors of
consider. One consideration would be unreliable estimates regarding the size of the job and the time
it takes are difficult issues to

1. Name and Describe two (2) U.S. based compliance laws that exist. There are six U.S. based
compliance law to date. These are Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) 2002,
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) 1996, Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act
(GLBA) 1999, Sarbanes–Oxley Act (SOX) 2002, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act
(FERPA) 1974, Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) 2000. The two I will discuss are: Federal
Information Security Management Act (FISMA) – This refers to a U.S. law that was enacted in 2002
to lay down a comprehensive framework on how government information are protected. This also
relates to operations and assets against natural or man–made threats. This act assigns responsibilities
to federal agencies that re responsible for system and data protection, ensuring that all elements of
FISMA are complied to, and integration of security measures throughout federal agencies in cost–
effective, timely and efficient manner (. FISMA regulations require that inspection of the agencies
be done annually through an independent evaluation (Gibson, 2010, pg. 59). The evaluation seeks to
test the effectiveness of policies and practices in agencies and compile a report that identifies the
state of compliance of that agency. Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act (GLBA) – This U.S. based legislation
was enacted in 1999. It requires that all financial institutions or companies that offer financial
services (loans, credits financial advice, insurance)

8. Developing Software Within A Hypercompetitive Market
As a result of the Software Development Industry struggling to deal with the complexities of
developing software within a hypercompetitive market, projects continue to fail at an alarming rate.
According to the Standish Group 's CHAOS Manifesto 2012 report, project statistics across the
United States and Europe were analyzed to determine if the projects were successful, challenged or
failed. The results of the report found that only 37% of all IT projects were successful (on time,
within budget and included the required functionality); 42% were challenged (delivered late, over
budget and/or with less functionality then required); and 21% failed and had to be cancelled prior to
completion and/or were never implemented (Standish, 2012). ... Show more content on

Looking at these individually, the internal component focuses on the performance of internal
processes that drive the business. Internal measures would include quality levels, productivity, cycle
time and cost. Within innovation and learning the emphasis is on the future success of the
organizations people and infrastructure. The key performance measures would be focused on
employee satisfaction, market innovation and skills development. The financial component
measures the results that matters the most to the organizations shareholders. These measures include
profitability revenue growth, return on investment, economic value added and overall shareholder
value. The last component which focuses on the customer is needs, satisfaction and market share
that would be focused on satisfaction ratings and repeat business (Evan 2005).
Components of a Balanced Scorecard (Organization Overview) Overall, the balanced scorecard aids
an organization from the standpoint of identifying the right measures and aligning them to the vision
and strategy. The model allows for the setting of target and resource allocation for short term

10. The Health And Information Technology Sector For...
The health and information technology sector for contracting organizations represents a diverse
range of companies from small business to corporations. Given the number of eligible and
affordable options for contracting services, it is essential for an organization like Quality Software
Services, Incorporated (QSSI) to develop, implement, and monitor its strategy for diversification
and growth. Strategy, as defined by Barney and Hesterly (2014, p. 4), is defined as a theory
proposed by an organization to gain visibility and market advantage over its competition. An
organization formulates a strategy using a set of formal analytical procedures and decision–making
known as the strategic management process (Barney & Hesterly, 2014, p. 4). The process analyzes
whether the company's strategic goals and objectives align with the mission statement.
Each year QSSI conducts a strategic planning session where senior leadership examines the
company's standing in the marketplace and its desired standing to determine where the company's
opportunities to improve exist. In addition, the leadership team considers the company's mission,
guiding principles and past performance when developing goals to close any gaps in marketability,
innovation, and delivery. One of the most valuable tools at the disposal of the group is an analysis of
feedback from the both external customers, employees, and partnering organizations regarding the
organization's performance for a specific period (Barney &

I. Introduction
In recently years, With the developments of software industry and rapidly increased requirements
for software developments, hundreds and thousands of software development organizations and
companies set up nowadays. Some of software companies have a long and famous history, such as
IBM, they always give satisfied software products for users. While some software companies are set
up recently are not equipped with good ability and quality. How to make difference on these
companies? How to evaluate capability of these software companies? Background search is not
enough, Software industry need more maturity and effective model to evaluate the capability of
software organizations.
To evaluate capability of software organization, a lot of challenges are need to be take consideration.
Such as, how do we know if an organization will develop stratified software or good software for
us? How many defects, how many kinds of defects will we need to take to maintain for these final
software products produced by these unknown software companies? And how many elements will
affect the result of evaluation?
The Capability Maturity Model (CMM, see fig.1) was developed in the late 1980's in an attempt to
assess the capability of software development organizations. It is described in "Managing the
Software Process [Humphrey89]". CMM combined with software process assessment and software

Case Study: Pizza Delivery Quickly (PDQ) Assignment 4 Introduction In today's competitive
economic climate, most project managers and organizational leadership has concluded the
importance of the positive impact that project management leadership has contributed to the
organization and on their projects and programs. This positive impact has caused most organizations
to implement Project Support Offices (PSO). Within the Project Support Offices (PSO) there will be
an understanding of the importance of the as–is and the to–be process is to managing projects and

28. Ordinary Grace Analysis
A Matter of Circumstance Often, we think of older people as being smarter, wiser, and generally
more mature, but this is not always the case. Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger gives a
number of examples that shatter this generalization, offering an alternative to age as the primary
factor in one's level of maturity. Ordinary Grace shows how maturity is a result of circumstance and
does not necessarily correlate with age. For starters, some older characters, such as Gus and Doyle,
are portrayed as highly immature, but in different ways. Right off the bat, Gus is originally
introduced as a homeless man who drinks too much. As the book puts it, "[he] had shown up at our
doorstep, a little drunk and out of work and with everything he owned stuffed in a pack in the
sidecar of his motorcycle" (14). At the book's opening, Gus has been arrested for getting in a fight
with Morris Engdahl for saying mean things about another kid. At heart, Gus is kind and hates it
when people put others down, but his method of settling disputes can quickly turn violent. Gus is
not the most immature adult shown in the book, but he definitely is not the ideal character either.
Throughout the novel, Gus's maturity improves, reflected when he refuses to eavesdrop on private
conversations and ultimately when he confronts Nathan about his faith. His maturity truly comes out
in this quote: "I can't see any way that the God you've talked yourself blue to me and everyone else
about would be

CHARACTERISTICS OF SMALL ENTERPRISES Enterprises that have obtained ISO–
9000/CMM/CMMI certifications are mainly large and medium–sized ones, but around 90% of
Pakistan's software enterprises are small–sized ones with less than 25 staff [1]. The characteristics of
these small–sized companies can be compared with their Chinese counterparts that possess these
characteristics: Firstly, small–scale, creative, and flexible; Secondly, most persons are the so called
all–rounders. Most of them are technology developers who become managers giving some attention
to management. They include team leads and project managers. They do coding, 'manage' projects
or products life cycle and junior developers. Not only but also they are supposed to test the products
as well. In this way experienced and specialized management staffs are rare. Thirdly, it is easy to
communicate between staffs, but the degree of documentation is not enough and the projects'
supervisions and requirements are mainly made through communication. Most of the time they
follow agile SDLC methodology and client has to keep in direct contact with the developer.
Fourthly, quality awareness is weak. Most persons pay attention to the function of products rather

42. An Aesthetic Experience
To have an aesthetic experience there are two criteria that need to be met. The first is paying close
attention to intrinsic features. The second is that the object we focus on must be viewed as worthy of
our attention. An example from the book of an object being viewed as valuable is on page 58. Young
children will pick weeds and think they are just as beautiful as flowers because they do not see a
difference. As they get older they begin to see what is held at a higher value in society (p.58). I see
this at work when children bring me grass or rocks to hold onto because they see them as special.
Most of the girls only pick things with color, so they can kind of tell the difference. During the
spring one of our teachers was admiring a large bloom on the hydrangea bush. An older student then
decided to pick it and bring it to the teacher. This upset the teacher because that flower was not
meant for the kids to pick, but this shows how children understand and copy the ideas of adults.
From the book I learned that the most common way of assessing a child's maturity level in the
1940's was to look at how well they could draw a picture of a person (p.58). I can see this as a
realistic way of assessing young students. However, as you get older I don't think this would work as
well. I am very bad at imagining things so I would have a difficult time conjuring up a picture of a
person in my mind to draw. I am also not very good at drawing and when I draw people they are

This was the case of Jean Louise or Scout in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird. Scout shows a loss of
innocence throughout the novel as she is faced with the case of Tom Robinson, which impacts her
life as a whole by making her realize that not everyone is like Atticus. At the beginning of the
Robinson case Scout shows little maturity. As a result of this she gets into an abundance of trouble
at school and home. To illustrate this Scout states that "Before the first morning was over, Miss

Tom, Scout states in this scene that "My fists were clenched and I was ready to let fly" (Lee 74).

she would stop fighting. Scout 's actions throughout these scenes show how she is beginning to

throughout the scene of her cousin Francis stating "If Uncle Atticus lets you run around with stray
dogs, that's his own business, like Grandma says, so it ain 't your fault if Uncle Atticus is a nigger–

moments later Aunt Alexandra comes in and asks what is going on, and Francis says that Scout is
holding him hostage and says that she beat him up, but Scout shows a lot of maturity by owning up
to her actions and not lying to Aunt Alexandra. Scout 's maturity has really started to develop as she
is faced with the judgements of others during the Robinson case. Towards the end of the Robinson
case we see Scout 's maturity has progressed tremendously. Scout is beginning to

46. The Stanbic Bank And The Digital Capability Maturity Model
Individual Assignment – Choice of SISP Methodology
Within Stanbic Bank the current SISP process is based on the premise that IT/IS acts purely as an
enabling function to the business. In order to implement an SISP that transitions the organization to
a fully fledged digital bank ,on the digital Capability Maturity Model, we will need a dramatic
change in mindset and approach towards SISP implementation driven by a digitally focused
governance structure for IT.
The digitally focused SISP puts IT/IS in the position of an active driver that plays an pivotal role at
all stages in the design of organizational strategies and work process that are meant to facilitate the
introduction of new business opportunities and performance enhancements. ... Show more content

Based on the current alignment between business and IT, Stanbic banks current IT governance
structure is skewed towards maximizing returns through growing revenue and earnings, reducing
costs of operations and increasing cash flows. The governance structure also focuses on the
mitigation of risk by ensuring continuity and security of its infrastructure and transactional business
operations while concurrently implementing processes to minimize exposure to external risks.
The new SISP which emphasizes the transition to a fully fledged, level 5 maturity model, digital
bank will have to infuse other governance priorities to achieve this. Governance procedures that
facilitate the increase in IS/IT agility to enable the bank to adapt to fast changing operational and

Affiliation. Parts of ISACA cooperated to create and make best practices , and COBIT system is one

"Control Objectives for Information and related Technology",covering the range of review [12]. The
second version with upgrades on control evaluation was discharged in 1998 . The third release was
discharged after two years, and as indicated by [12] "The huge change accompanied the distribution
of COBIT Third Edition, with its business objective introduction. At this point, COBIT was termed
as an IT administration skeleton. The third release recognized that an association needs IT for data
handling, as well as to accomplish business destinations". In 2005 ISACA presented another , fourth
form of COBIT with a reasonable concentrate on IT legislation [14]. A further form of this structure
is COBIT 4.1 , discharged in 2007, tolerating the by and large utilized schemas, for example, "IT

52. Health System: Credentialing System Implementation Essay
Credentialing System Implementation at xxx Health Systems The previous two parts of this three–
part assignment, the systems analysis and application architecture and process design aspect of the
credentialing software project at TPI Health Systems (TPI) was explored. This last paper will
explore the implementation stage of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) as it related to the
credentialing project at TPI. There are six major steps to the implementation phase of the SDLC: (1)
coding, (2) testing, (3) installation, (4) documentation, (5) training and (6) support. The text actually
details five steps and breaks–out the last step, support, into its own phase (Satzinger, Jackson, &

These changes did not fit into the SyMed project plan, so the TPI process was changed to
accommodate the pre–written user interface of the SyMed system. Testing is the next phase of the
implementation phase. A comprehensive testing program includes a stepwise process starting with
unit testing, followed by testing of group components called integration testing and concluded with
entire systems test (Satzinger et al., 2004, p. 640). Individual units or modules are tested prior to
integration with more advanced modules, using driver modules. Once a set of modules are put
together, integration testing can take place. These test include checking for interface compatibility,
run–time exceptions, parameter values and unexpected state interactions (Satzinger et al., p. 644–
645). Jeff Theobald suggests that an effort should be made to concentrate not on just errors in a
single application or module, but also the system as a whole and between systems (Theobald, 2007).
After these tests are completed, the project goes on to system testing. System testing often involves
daily "build and smoke" tests, where the system is set to run and is observed for "smoke" or errors
(McConnell, 1996). The TPI credentialing system was tested in this manner. The project made it

54. The Response To Success In The Glass Castle, By Jeannette...
Many people react differently based on the way they have been brought up or taught. In the Glass
Castle by Jeannette Wall, it has been portrayed to the readers that the response to a problem can
either have a positive effect on a community and or a negative effect on the community. In the book,
The Glass Castle Jeannette Walls was seen as live a nonrestrictive life ever since she was three.
Jeannette makes a statement that you can still be successful in life even if you had been raised in an
irregular family. Through the eyes of Jeannette Walls, it can be said that a person's drive and passion
can achieve that point of success.
Coming to the first point most kids from the start of their life have been taught that you will only
achieve success if you work hard. This advice had been portrayed in the book The Glass Castle.
Ever since the beginning of the book Jeanette go through different obstacles and also many different
types of struggles. Although this had come in the way to achieve the final product she fought
through it and did not let her drive towards success fade. For example, in the book, Jeannette says"
No one expected you to amount to much... You never had much going for you except that you
always worked hard "(270). Jeannette's mom is seen questioning the gifts that her own kid has and is
even hesitant to acknowledge that her little girl has turned out to be successful by her own hard

Introduction
This dissertation is based on the use of innovative technologies and software in higher education
system and evaluation of its effectiveness and upgrading the quality of education. This study is
basically focused to help higher education institutions understand how IT governance impacts
technology innovation and to identify the key factors that can lead to an IT governance process that
supports innovation. It is almost similar to my topic in which I am going to evaluate the innovative
software which can upgrade the level of services and its accountability by the government.
(a) Quality Review
The paper highlights the use of innovative software and technologies in higher education system to
improve the quality of education across US universities. This paper cites several related references,
which would be beneficial for me as well. In addition to that, it focuses only on innovation related
papers but it lacks in those paper which analyzes the public procurement of innovative products. It
focuses only on the use of innovative technologies in higher education. Its evaluation methodology
is good, as around six universities are interviewed on the subject and the results are compared with
the data analysis of the data collected through secondary resources. Since the paper is completely
based on a theoretical framework, so no theorems and proofs are present throughout the paper, while

60. An Analysis of a Woman’s Manhood in A Doll’s House Essay
Youth is something that is always taken for granted until death takes a toll. There are those who
have either fulfilled their life goals or the ones who lived a passive life truly regret everything on
their death beds. Growing up and maturing goes hand in hand. A master plot seen in Ibsen's play A
Doll's House is maturation. Maturation is when the Protagonist faces a problem that is part of
growing up, and from dealing with it, emerging into a state of adulthood. The protagonist Nora is
developed throughout the play from an ignorant child to a strong willed "man" on a quest for
knowledge. In the play Nora goes from her father's home to her husband's home. Nora's childhood is
filled with toys and Christmas trees during the winter season. ... Show more content on

Over the years men build themselves up to last in the real world of work or family related ways. In
order to survive they have practiced different skills from childhood to adulthood in order to amount
to a certain maturity level. The first step is the power of knowledge men are permitted to learn
which a woman is not. As Nora learns about the struggles of life through hiding her secret from her
husband her ignorance lessens. The development Nora is encountering shows how much of a man
she is becoming in the relationship. Her maturity level is shown by how she handled the situation
when Torvald forgave her after he has just proven how little he cared for her compared to how
highly he cares the way others perceive him. She feels that doesn't anyone "...think that we have a
right to be happy simply, naturally" (Fauset 83)? However Torvald only considers his reputation as a
highly respected man. Finally, Nora sees the clear lining between the difference of love and reality.
For example, when children are first born they are classified into colors; boys are blue and girls are

(2011), issues arise in a project, when Senior Management is inefficient or lacks managerial
principles like support, understanding the suppliers, delegation or communication. For example,
many teams within organisations use email solely for communication, however, the emails are not
usually shared on a central forum for the entire organisation, which create silos and further
communication problems. Communication breakdown is a primary source of project failure, as 75%
of organisations are affected by it (PMI, 2014).
Lack of visibility is a further problem, because, when members of staff do not have access to
information they need, at the right time (West, 2015) there will be gaps between projects and the
organisation's strategy. Another critical source of project failure is a lack of Requirements

Basically they follow all the recommendations that Kerzner (2010) stated for the adoption/creation
of a project management methodology. First of all, the adoption of the methodology resulted from
the need of maintaining the company as a competitive one in the market. The president of the
company identified that need, and exerted his influence to get it (even though the recognition of the
need for a project management methodology is good, his method to get it was not the best one; I will
discuss this further in the second question). His intentions could be seen as a claim for improvement
in the organization.

fact is, BIM has always been there in hand drawings and CAD 2D/3D managed environment. BIM

Actually, this tweaking is what we thought is there, what we thought we were aware of, but we

we always know where things are or we always know what to do. That's like saying a newborn can
