Stefanie Fox found Twitter to be the most useful social media tool for educators. She was able to easily find relevant articles and felt connected to others with similar interests on Twitter. Pinterest boards also helped her stay organized and she incorporated new ideas into her classroom from articles found on Twitter. Some challenges included difficulty finding groups on Diigo and issues with sharing on Google Plus and saving changes on Animoto. While Moodle took some time to learn to navigate, online learning through it was a great way for her to connect with classmates and work at her own pace.

Most Useful Tool • Twitter • So easy to find great articles • Really feel connected to other users with similar interests • Extremely simple to navigate site & share • People’s comments are often helpful/insightful • Perfect for collaboration
Successes • Pinterest boards have kept me very organized! • Found some really articles on Twitter! • Was already able to incorporate some new things into my classroom
Challenges • Finding groups within Diigo • Once finding a group, following users function did not work • Animoto did not properly save changes I made to my project • Took a while to figure out how to share my Google Plus page
Moodle & Online Learning • Can be slightly confusing and difficult to navigate at first • With time to explore Moodle site, online learning is wonderful! • Great way to connect with classmates throughout duration of course • Love the ability to share ideas and ask for help in the forums • Perfect for working at own pace and during individual schedule

  • 2. Most Useful Tool • Twitter • So easy to find great articles • Really feel connected to other users with similar interests • Extremely simple to navigate site & share • People’s comments are often helpful/insightful • Perfect for collaboration
  • 3. Successes • Pinterest boards have kept me very organized! • Found some really articles on Twitter! • Was already able to incorporate some new things into my classroom
  • 4. Challenges • Finding groups within Diigo • Once finding a group, following users function did not work • Animoto did not properly save changes I made to my project • Took a while to figure out how to share my Google Plus page
  • 5. Moodle & Online Learning • Can be slightly confusing and difficult to navigate at first • With time to explore Moodle site, online learning is wonderful! • Great way to connect with classmates throughout duration of course • Love the ability to share ideas and ask for help in the forums • Perfect for working at own pace and during individual schedule
