against toxicity of lead and /or gamma irradiation in male rats. Eight groups of rats
were used in this study (control, irradiated group (6 GY), lead (40 mg/kg b.wt.),
spermine (10 mg/kg b.wt), lead plus irradiation, irradiation plus spermine, lead plus
spermine, irradiation plus lead co treated with spermine) for consecutive 14 days.
Complete blood count (CBC) and blood glucose 6 P dehydrogenase (G6PD) were
measured in blood. Moreover, malondialdhyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH),
metallothionin (MT) levels and catalase (CAT) activity were investigated in liver,
kidney and brain. G6PD significantly decreased post exposure to lead and /or
gamma irradiation. Hepatic, renal and brain MDA, GSH, MT and CAT were
significantly increased in lead intoxicated group, while GSH, CAT and MT were
significantly decreased in gamma irradiated group. Spermine administration
alleviated changes in CBC, G6PD, MDA, GSH, CAT and MT to normal control
levels, but with significant increase in G6PD activity and platelets count. In
conclusion, spermine acts as antioxidant and plays a prophylactic role against

While I went through this project I noticed that I truly do not have a green thumb,
the only plants that really changed much were the plants that I killed. My motor oil
plants rapidly died, shrinking quickly and drying up. I actually still only have two

administered motor oil to died rapidly while the other plants just kind of continued

show the emotion that is represented in that particular scene. The props that were
used in this film were outstanding especially with the engravings of RDW.
However, a special effect of flashback when the story of Rebecca s death was being
told would ve been much better instead of how it actually was in the film. Other
audience members and myself would have loved to actually have seen what
Rebecca had looked like rather than the story being just explained. If the use of
flashback was incorporated into the film it would make the film ten times better
than what it already is. Although, Hitchcock mainly focused on emotion in his films
paying closer attention to dialogue would make this film brilliant. When the
characters finally did speak you couldn t get a good understanding of what they
were saying due to their rush in speech. The characters spoke very fast to the point
where you had to listen closely to conversation or you would miss what they were
saying, this is where the importance of reading the emotion on the character s face is

4.3 Methods
Methods used included, taking GPS points at different rock units and marking them
onto an aerial map to distinguish bearings and lithologies, traversing the area, and
identifying rock and fossils types.
4.4 Regional Geology
The Callytharra Formation and associated unit Moogooloo Sandstone are found in
the Merlinleigh Sub basin of the Southern Carnarvon Basin. The Callytharra
Formation was forming toward the end of the last major glaciation and represents

Literature suggests that the Wandagee Formation conformably overlies the
Quinnanie Shale (Mory Backhouse, 1997). These two sections were most likely
deposited within a marine shelf, perhaps below the storm water wave base (notebook
page 33). The Quinnanie, displaying no trace fossils or bioturbation and generally
massive in structure may suggest that it was deposited at greater depths than the
Wandagee Formation or it may suggest a cycle of shallowing and deepening waters,
due to tidal influences. The Quinnanie representing deepened waters. Its more organic
make up may also indicate that it was deposited at greater depths than the Wandagee.
The Wandagee Formation contains a vast number of structures that indicate a
shallower environment than the Quinnanie. Whilst still being deposited below the
storm water wave base, it may be possible that it was deposited during a shallowing
oscillation. Trace fossils that were burrowing indicate shallower waters, the
stratigraphic log demonstrates these relationships, figure 22).
5.7 Petroleum Potential
Quinnanie Shale is suggested to be a source rock, it has fair levels of organics, but
has low generating potential, and is most likely more gas prone. The Byro Group
