This presentation outlines the SMARTUpChallenge 2014 which challenges youth to propose and run an innovative project or business pilot to create 2-5 jobs for young people by June 2015. Teams must submit a 300 word proposal explaining their idea and how it will create jobs. Successful proposals will be judged on their market need, team strength, impact and job creation potential, innovation, feasibility, and communication skills. Qualified teams will need to obtain proof that their idea is viable and can attract customers. The goal is to help young entrepreneurs start businesses or projects that provide meaningful work opportunities.
