The design is based on a low-cost PZEM-004T, using a non-invasive Current Transformer
(CT) sensors, Arduino and Raspberry pi. Electrical measurements are done by PZEM-004T and CT sensors through Arduino. Raspberry pi communicates with Arduino through serial communication to retrieve these sensor’s data and send it to the server via internet. As a result, the developed energy monitoring system can successfully record the voltage, current, active power, power factor, frequency, accumulative power consumption and tariff. Consumers will be able to
see their electricity usage and the tariff according to the energy usage in real-time through web and mobile application. In case of any fault e.g., short circuit or power supply cut off, the consumer will receive a text message on his mobile number. Moreover, consumers will be able to receive the tariff on a weekly or monthly basis.

The Substation of the Future; CIGRE
The growing trend for protection and control and substation automation is the digital substation. This is generally understood to mean fully implementing process bus. While adopting process bus provides great value, it is only a stepping stone. The long-term goal must be to move away from the current single-purpose, hardware-based protection and automation systems and replace them with a software-defined control system running virtual services: a digitally enabled substation.
A digitally enabled substation is necessary to enable substation systems to adapt to the new realities of changing distributed energy resources impacting feeder power flow, voltage, and protection functions, and the changing operating requirements brought on by widely distributed, inverter-based resources. Wind, solar, battery storage, and EVs maybe be connected anywhere to the grid, and by different owners often concentrated in areas negatively impacting the traditional grid. Operators and control functions must plan for and adapt quickly to changes in available resources and load flows. Utilities, systems owners and a host of new DER stakeholders will need to be able to roll out new applications and access an increasing amount of grid data to optimize their investments. Old schemes will need to be adapted quickly and reliably throughout the entire system.

IOT Based Three Phase Transmission Line Fault Detection and Classification
This document describes a proposed IOT-based system for detecting and classifying faults on three-phase transmission lines in real-time. The system uses an Arduino board as the central controller connected to voltage transformers, an LCD display, WiFi module, and relays. When a fault occurs, the Arduino detects the type of fault (e.g. line-to-ground), calculates the exact location, and sends a signal to isolate the faulted section via relays. The information is also transmitted remotely over WiFi and displayed locally on the LCD. The system aims to minimize human effort in fault management and improve reliability of power transmission.
IRJET- Design of 1 Bit ALU using Various Full Adder Circuits
This paper explores the design of a 1-bit arithmetic logic unit (ALU) using various full adder techniques, including transmission gate, complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS), gate diffusion input (GDI), and modified GDI logic. The designs are implemented in 180nm and 130nm technologies. Modified GDI full adders require fewer transistors, have lower propagation delay and power consumption compared to other techniques. A 1-bit ALU is designed using various full adders and the performance is compared between technologies. The modified GDI full adder is shown to be well-suited for low power applications due to its small transistor count, low delay and power.

Smart Grid Deployment Experience and Utility Case Studies
Duke Energy implemented a smart grid project in Ohio with the objectives of improving reliability, reducing costs, and enabling greater customer access to energy use data. The project invested $100 million to install over 140,000 smart meters and distribution automation equipment, benefiting both customers and utilities. Customers gained near real-time energy use data and more accurate billing while utilities saw decreased outage times, reduced system losses and improved data for planning.
Selection of Digital Filter for Microprocessor Protection Relays
The article considers some issues related to replacement of electromechanical relays used for protection of power facilities with microprocessor relays. One of the urgent problems connected with implementation of microprocessor overcurrent protections is how to use current transducers other than usual current transformers and in particular Rogowski coils that become more and more widespread. In the article are compared twelve methods of synthesis of a digital filter basing on the analog prototype – second-order integrating filter. The bilinear filter and Boxer-Thaler filters are analyzed in respect to their use in microprocessor relays. Basing on the research results a technique for selection of parameters of digital integrating filters for microprocessor relays is proposed. Simulation results show that Boxer-Thaler and bilinear filters have better accuracy during transient current measurements than the analog filter. The study allows concluding that in many cases the digital second-order bilinear filter is the best choice for use in microprocessor relays.
Electricity Meter Reading using GSM
This system is designed for reading electrical energy consumed in units and in kyats to display on an LCD screen to the user. This system becomes necessary for the consumer to know as to how much electricity is consumed to control electricity bill within user budget. In this system, the consumer will get energy consumption data on a real time basis on an LCD display. The same data is sent through GSM modem to the electricity department via SMS. AT Mega 328P microcontroller is interfaced to the voltage divider and current sensor to get the Watt Hour pulses. The microcontroller then processes these pulses according to the program written in it, to calculate the units consumed and cost involved. Further, it gives the command to the SIM loaded GSM modem for sending the data to the electricity department via SMS. Further, this system can be enhanced by to control the electrical appliances remotely via SMS. Moreover, this system can reduce human efforts needed to record the meter reading which is till now recorded by visiting every home individually. This paper describes a speed control device for generating electrical energy on an electricity network based on the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) used for wind power conversion systems. At first, a double-fed induction generator model was constructed. A control law is formulated to govern the flow of energy between the stator of a DFIG and the energy network using three types of controllers: proportional integral (PI), sliding mode controller (SMC) and second order sliding mode controller (SOSMC). Their different results in terms of power reference tracking, reaction to unexpected speed fluctuations, sensitivity to perturbations, and resilience against machine parameter alterations are compared. MATLAB/Simulink was used to conduct the simulations for the preceding study. Multiple simulations have shown very satisfying results, and the investigations demonstrate the efficacy and power-enhancing capabilities of the suggested control system.

DEEP LEARNING FOR SMART GRID INTRUSION DETECTION: A HYBRID CNN-LSTM-BASED MODEL
As digital technology becomes more deeply embedded in power systems, protecting the communication
networks of Smart Grids (SG) has emerged as a critical concern. Distributed Network Protocol 3 (DNP3)
represents a multi-tiered application layer protocol extensively utilized in Supervisory Control and Data
Acquisition (SCADA)-based smart grids to facilitate real-time data gathering and control functionalities.
Robust Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are necessary for early threat detection and mitigation because
of the interconnection of these networks, which makes them vulnerable to a variety of cyberattacks. To
solve this issue, this paper develops a hybrid Deep Learning (DL) model specifically designed for intrusion
detection in smart grids. The proposed approach is a combination of the Convolutional Neural Network
(CNN) and the Long-Short-Term Memory algorithms (LSTM). We employed a recent intrusion detection
dataset (DNP3), which focuses on unauthorized commands and Denial of Service (DoS) cyberattacks, to
train and test our model. The results of our experiments show that our CNN-LSTM method is much better
at finding smart grid intrusions than other deep learning algorithms used for classification. In addition,
our proposed approach improves accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score, achieving a high detection
accuracy rate of 99.50%.

the state-of-the-art Deeplabv3+ architecture with the ResNet18 backbone. The
model is rigorously trained and evaluated, exhibiting remarkable performance
metrics, including an impressive global accuracy of 99.286%, a high-class accuracy of 82.191%, a mean intersection over union (IoU) of 79.900%, a weighted
IoU of 98.620%, and a Boundary F1 (BF) score of 83.303%. Notably, a detailed comparative analysis with existing methods showcases the superiority of
our proposed model. These findings underscore the model’s competence in precise brain tumor localization, underscoring its potential to revolutionize medical
image analysis and enhance healthcare outcomes. This research paves the way
for future exploration and optimization of advanced CNN models in medical
imaging, emphasizing addressing false positives and resource efficiency.
