In this presentation, Narendra introduces IoT and associated trends. Narendra wishes to solve the problem of migration in cloud systems as most cloud platforms have proprietary APIs.

2. Introduction
Social Media Cloud
computer mediated tools that
allow people to create, share or
exchange information, ideas, and
pictures/videos in virtual
communities and networks.
•Enables collaboration
•Expands the way people interacts
A network of remote servers hosted
on the internet to store, manage
and process data
• Cheaper way to globalize your
workforce on the
• Data accessibility, security and
flexibility
Analytics Mobile Technology
Transforming data into insight for
making better decisions
•Enables Sentiment analysis
•Supports predictive analysis
The technology used for cellular
communication
•Increases reach to customers
•Social media used more on mobile
devices than desktop computers
3. Why SMAC?
• Enables agility and innovation
• Connects customers to new innovations
• Enables anytime and anywhere access to customers.
• Boosts customer loyalty
• Gain a more granular understanding of customers’
preferences and serve them according to their insights
• Reduces cost to markets
• A tool for individual innovators and organizers to connect
with customers.
4. Trends
• The new master corporate IT model is the SMAC
stack. It is the Fifth wave of IT
• Like the four waves before it — the mainframe,
minicomputer, client/server and the Internet —
SMAC will generate significant dislocation and
wealth creation for the IT hardware, software and
services sectors and drive new levels of productivity
for businesses
5. By 2020…
• The smack stack will represent $5 trillion in
spending
• As many as 100 billion computing devices will be
connected to the web
• Corporations will be managing 50 times the data
currently managed
• Most of the computing devices and the majority of
the data created will be done without human
intervention
6. Interest Area
Cloud computing
• Currently many CSPs(Cloud service providers)
implement their application by adopting
the proprietary APIs.
• As a result, cloud services transition from one CSP
to another CSP, has become extremely complicated,
time-consuming and labour-intensive.
• I would like to work for finding a solution for it.
