TADZKIRAHTADZKIRAH
WHEN THAT which must come to pass [at last] comes to
pass, there will be nought that could give the lie to its
having come to pass, abasing [some], exalting
[others]! When the earth is shaken with a shaking
[severe], and the mountains are shattered into [countless]
shards, so that they become as scat-tered dust – [on that
Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds.”
(Qur’an: Waqi-‘ah: 56: 1-7)

TADZKIRAHTADZKIRAH
“Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right:
oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right!
And there shall be such as will have lost them-selves in evil: oh,
how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil!
But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in
faith and good works]: they who were [always] drawn close unto
Allah! In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] - a good many of those
of olden times, but [only] a few of later times. ”
(Qur’an: Waqi-‘ah: 56: 8-14)

“AND IF My servants ask thee about Me - behold, I am
near (FA-IN-NEE- QO-REEB); I respond to the call of
him who calls (U-JEE-BU-DA’WA-TAD-DAA-’I),
whenever he calls unto Me (IDZA-DA-’AAN): let them,
then, respond unto Me (FAL-YAS-TA-JEE-BU-LEE), and
believe in Me (WAL-YU’-MI-NUU-BEE), so that they
might follow the right way (LA-’AL-LAHUM-YAR-
SHUDUU-N).”

In ourIn our AQEEDAHAQEEDAH (Creed), Allah cannot be equated with the(Creed), Allah cannot be equated with the

“Surely We have created man, and We know the
promptings of his heart, (WA NAH-NU – AQ-ROBU)
and We are nearer (ILAI-HI) to him than even his
jugular vein (MIN – HAB-LIL – WA-REED).”
(Qur’an : Qaf: 50: 16)

After assuring us of His nearness, the focus now is with the subjectAfter assuring us of His nearness, the focus now is with the subject

that the true satisfaction to the question asked, indeed isthat the true satisfaction to the question asked, indeed is in ourin our
connectionconnection, how to be intimate or (, how to be intimate or (TAQARRUBTAQARRUB) gaining closeness to) gaining closeness to
Allah – the Unseen Divine, Who alone is God, having no partners norAllah – the Unseen Divine, Who alone is God, having no partners nor

Allah SWT assures us clearly also that He indeed responds to theAllah SWT assures us clearly also that He indeed responds to the
DU’ADU’A , using the term, using the term IJAABAHIJAABAH – meaning– meaning “answer(ing);“answer(ing);
reply(ing); response; fulfilment; granting (of request); etc.”reply(ing); response; fulfilment; granting (of request); etc.”
Yet, Allah SWT here also is guiding us with His stipulation for HisYet, Allah SWT here also is guiding us with His stipulation for His

DU’ADU’A withwith IIMANIIMAN must entail avoidance of every forms ofmust entail avoidance of every forms of SHIRKSHIRK
(Association; setting up rivals or partners to Allah) – because(Association; setting up rivals or partners to Allah) – because DU’ADU’A isis
essentialessential ‘IBAADAH.‘IBAADAH.

““AD-DU’AAD-DU’A (Supplication) is the marrow (essence) of(Supplication) is the marrow (essence) of
AL-‘IBADAHAL-‘IBADAH (worship, servitude).”(worship, servitude).”

will surely find themselves in Hell in humiliation!"

“He (ALLAH) is (AL-HAYYU) the living (One): There is no
god but He: Call upon (supplicate to) Him (DU’A) giving
Him sincere (MUKHLISw) devotion (DEEN). Praise be to
Allah (AL-HAMDU-LILLAAHI) Lord (ROBB) of the Worlds!”

O Allah, The Possessor of Majesty and Nobility, The Bestower of Great
Bounties, The One Who Makes Things Permissible and Forbidden, The
One Who guides whomever He wills from amongst His servants to the
means and paths of religious commitment.

WA – MUU-JI-BAA – TIL – IL – TI-ZAA-M, - NAS – ALUKAL-LAA-HUM-MA
AN – TUH-YI-YA-NAA – ‘ALAL – IS – LAA-M, -WA –YU-MEE-TA-NAA –
‘ALAL – EE-MAAN, - WA – TU-RAQ-QI-YA-NAA – BAI-NA-HUMAA
FEE – MA-RAA-TI -BIL – IH – SAA-N, - WAL –EE- QAA-NI – WAL
‘IR-FAA-NI, – YAA – KA-REE-MU - YAA – MAN-NAA-N

And You Who respond to the resolve. We beseech You O Allah
that You cause us to live upon Islam, die upon faith, and
elevate us between life and death in the stations of spiritual
excellence, certitude and spiritual gnosis.
O Most Generous, O Benefactor.

ALLAA-HUM-MAH – FAZ – NAA – MIN – KUL-LI – FIT-NA-TIN –
MU-DWIL-LATIN, - WASH – FI-NAA –MIN – KUL-LI – SA – QO-MIN

O Allah, protect us from all misleading tribulations, cure us
from all sicknesses and diseases, forgive us for all our sins and
errors, affirm us upon the truth and the religion, and assign
for us reminders and helpers from amongst Your guiding
servants.

WA – IDZAA – ARAD – TA – BI – ‘IBAA-DI-KA – FIT-NA-TAN
FAQ – BIDW – NAA – ILAI – KA – GHOY-RA – MAF – TUU – NEE-N,
WA – LAA – DWAL-LEE-NA – WA – LAA - MU– DWIL-LEE-N, - BI-MAN – NI –KA
WA – KA –RA - MI-KA – YAA – AR-HA-MAR – RAA – HI-MEE-N
And when You will that Your servants be afflicted by tribulations, seize
us to you without being afflicted, misguided or misguiding, by Your
Mercy and Grace, O The Most Merciful of All Who Show Mercy.

ALLAA-HUM-MA’ – SWEEM-NAA – BI – FADW – LI-KA –
MIN- FIT-NA-TIL – MA-SEE- KHID - DAJ – JAA-L
WA – MIN – SUU – IL – A’ – MAA-LI –
WA – FA-SAA- DIL –AH – WAA-L
WA – FU - DWUU- LIL – AQ – WAA-L
O Allah, preserve us by Your favours from the False Messiah (Al-
Maseeh Ad-Dajjal) * , and from evil deeds and corrupted states,
and from frivolous words,
The Arabic name used in this Du’a – AL-MA- SEE-KHID
