This study aimed to determine the optimum protein requirements for intensive culture of Labeo rohita in glass aquariums. Three experimental feeds with protein levels of 35%, 38%, and 40% were tested on L. rohita for 4 months. Results showed that fish fed 38% protein grew fastest and most efficiently, indicating 38% is the optimum protein level. Water quality was maintained within suitable ranges throughout. In conclusion, a diet containing 38% protein maximized growth performance of L. rohita in intensive aquaculture.
