Sincerity Essay
Crafting an essay on the theme of sincerity can be both challenging and introspective. The
difficulty lies not only in defining and understanding the multifaceted concept of sincerity but
also in expressing one's thoughts and experiences authentically. Sincerity is a quality that
transcends mere honesty; it involves a genuine alignment between one's thoughts, words, and
actions.
To write a compelling sincerity essay, one must delve into personal reflections and confront the
complexities of authenticity. It requires a delicate balance between self-awareness and
vulnerability, as the writer must navigate through their own experiences to explore instances of
sincerity in their lives. The challenge is not only to articulate the importance of sincerity but also
to convey its nuances and implications in various contexts.
Moreover, the difficulty in crafting a sincerity essay stems from the inherent subjectivity of the
topic. Sincerity can be interpreted differently by individuals, influenced by cultural, social, and
personal perspectives. Balancing the universal aspects of sincerity with its subjective nature adds
an extra layer of intricacy to the writing process.
The writer must grapple with finding a unique voice to convey their insights on sincerity,
avoiding clichГ©s and superficial analysis. To make the essay truly impactful, the author needs
to connect with the audience on a personal level, sharing experiences that resonate universally
while remaining genuine.
In conclusion, composing a sincerity essay is a challenging endeavor that demands self-
reflection, a nuanced understanding of the concept, and a genuine expression of one's thoughts
and experiences. It is not merely about writing on a topic but about embodying the very quality
one seeks to explore. Through this process, the writer not only communicates their perspective on
sincerity but also undergoes a personal journey of introspection.

Jude Children Research Hospital has been building online learning through a
program called Cure4Kids. This is an International Outreach Program that helps
countries with limited resources develop treatment centers to treat children with
catastrophic disease such as AIDS and pediatric cancer (Cure4Kids St. Jude
Children s Research Hospital). This is a network that delivers medical education
to doctors and nurses to provide tools for communications and collaborations
among individuals on pediatric cancer and AIDS. The website for Cure4Kids is
(www.cure4kids.org) and it contains lectures, seminars, video streaming, and power
points with audio that is accessible to health care professional, nurse s, and doctors
free of charge. These lectures are also available in multiple languages so they are
truly hitting their target market by providing information to many countries. With
this website in place there are online conferencing tools used for delivering live
lectures with images, power point slides, and collaborative white boarding. There is
also audio conferencing for group discussions by just using the Internet and a
computer with speakers and microphone (Cure4Kids St. Jude Children s Research
Hospital). The results from this development are that it has grown to over 500 users
in the first six months of operation with 75% of these users coming from international
countries. Spanish is the main language being used even though 89% of the users can
read and speak English but
The Walt Disney Company Using Second Life As A Public...
Virtual communities such as Second Life have revolutionized communication
channels for public relations professionals. The virtual communication platform uses
the integration of social and digital media to communicate with target audiences. The
internet based simulated environment permits users to not only interact with each
other, but with products and services provided by organizations and individuals.
Thus, Second Lifehas become an interactive, collaborative and commercial
communication channel to connect to and influence global audience behavior
(Barnes Mattsson, 2011).
Already internationally recognized, the Walt DisneyCompany was an early
participant of Second Life. The purpose of Disney s virtual world establishment was
to give Disney fans a place to hangout, enjoy the scenery and get updates about the
parks (McConnon Reena, 2007). The five advantages of the Walt Disney Company
using Second Life as a public relations tool are: Tourism and international public
relations have a positive relationship, access to target audience feedback through
personal interfaces, Second Life serves as another platform for dissemination of
information and promotion of organizational activities, the content of the virtual
world creates an hyperreality for identified target audiences and the platform removes
geographically barriers encouraging people from around the world to collaborate.

campaign for presidency uses multiple rhetorical techniques to boost his popularity.
He has uses biased language and scapegoating to boost his political campaign just as
like Squealer boosts himself to power.
Throughout the book Squealer, continuously uses biased language, in his rhetoric,
which leads to him control the animals. Squealer says that Snowball was Jones s
secret agent the whole time and the Battle of Cowshed was an arrangement. Did

Squealer has against Snowball, in which he is basically saying Snowball had plan

against the farm. This triggers memories of the animals who can t believe
Snowball would do this because they think he fought so bravely for them. This is

Essay on Economic Expansions in 1920s
During the 1920s, there was a rise in economy of the United States. The people of
the United States and its territories enjoyed a prosperous life, as the economy grew
7 percent per year between 1922 and 1927. In this period, also referred as Roaring
Twenties , there was high economic growth with increase in the living standards of
Americans.
According to the textbook, Nation of Nations , the reasons for the economic
expansions in the nineteenth century were due to the boom in the industrial sector
after the World War I and high consumer spending. Along with the improvements in
the technological fields, construction and automobile industry, the sale of electricity
doubled and consumption of fuel was doubled too. People spent lot of their ... Show

No industries boom more than automobile manufacturing. Henry Ford helped to
make the boom possible by making the automobile affordable to the Americans.
Transportation was the main basis of economic growth. Construction industry
stimulated other business like steel, lumber, concrete and insurance. It changed the
nations eating habits. The employment rate was higher and living standard of the
people increased. Lower Production costs increased sales and consumers spend more
to purchase goods.
In the book, American Stories , it states that American people enjoyed the highest
standard of living of any nation on earth. In the 1920s, United States emerged as the
worlds richest and most highly developed nations. The key factor for the industrial
boom and economic development lay in the hands of technological advancements.
Business, advertising and marketing, mass productions and other industrial
developments were the main reasons of the development of the US economy.
The economic boom peaked in 1922 until its end in1927. During this period, there
was growth in consumer goods producing industries. Also, the industrial output nearly

industrial boom was the nations largest in the 1920s and more people afforded cars

Americans enjoyed electricity. Radio broadcasting and motion picture production also

The United States And Japan
After the atomic bombs had fallen and Japan was smoldering, very few people
thought the land of the rising sun would ever rise again. However, as history can
attest, they were wrong. In the wake of the 1945 bombings, the occupation and
subsequent reconstruction of Japan was begun, just a short month later. The
reconstruction of Japan was spearheaded by the Supreme Commander of Allied
Powers, General Douglas MacArthur, and was formulated before the smoke even
cleared .This reconstruction plan opened new gates to the Japanese people that were
previously untapped. Additionally, the new diplomatic relations between the United
Statesand their former enemy, Japan, following World War Two had a profound
impact upon economic, defensive, and social policies of both the United States and
the Japanese postВwar governments. The exact nature of this impact would not be
truly appreciated, however, for years to come.
ECONOMIC
In the years immediately following the second Great War, Japan was struck by what
some would call an economic miracle . This miracle allowed for the industrialized
nation of Japan to regain its foothold in the economic sectors of Southeast Asia.
Essentially, after the war, the U.S. called for unconditional surrender and for Japan to
be stripped of most of its empire, occupied by allied troops, and demilitarized. Japan
would then be integrated into the world economy, and its economic viability would
be guaranteed through free trade Although the
Essay on A Taste of Honey by Shelagh Delaney
In writing A Taste of Honey, what impact did Shelagh Delaney hope to have upon
her audience? What techniques did she use to achieve these aims? Shelagh Delaney
wrote A Taste of Honey in 1958 when she was only 18.
A Taste of Honey is a story about the relationship between a girl and her mother.
The mother, Helen, who is a semi whore, leaves her daughter, Jo, to get married to
Peter. Jo has a relationship with a sailor and gets pregnant. The sailor then leaves for
duty. Jo meets
Geoff, they become friends and Geoff offers to help Jo bring up the baby. Helen
returns after splitting up with Peter and wants Jo back.
The audience that Shelagh Delaney was writing for consisted mainly of middle class
and upper class people. Her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This was not how the working classes lived and Shelagh
Delaney outlined this very clearly in A Taste of Honey .
Although the characters live in a world where they are treated differently because of
their class, race and sexuality, they still enjoy life. Shelagh Delaney represents this
and puts forward ideas without prejudice.
From this play we can see that Shelagh Delaney wanted to change theatrical
productions to represent the working classes rather than the upper classes. In many
previous productions the working classes had been represented as gloomy and bad
tempered. She was not afraid to try new ideas, bringing a completely new angle to
theatrical productions. The audience were now seeing plays about real people living
in a real world, not ideal families living in perfect situations. The audience would
have been shocked by the reality factor of this play.
Presenting the working classes in a play had been a problem to many previous
playwrights. They had wanted to include them in their plays but had wanted to miss
out the reality factor. Shelagh Delaney was not frightened to show this side of life
and has overcome the problem by showing the working classes as they really are.
She achieves this by presenting the characters as down to earth and creates an
environment which is basic and slightly crude.

John Charles Fields Essay
John Charles Fields
John Charles Fields is perhaps one of the most famous Canadian Mathematicians of
all time. He was born on May 14, 1863 in Hamilton Ontario, and died August 9,
1932 in Toronto, Ontario (Young, 1998). He graduated from the University of
Toronto at the age of 21 with a B.A in Mathematics and went on to get his Ph.D. at
John Hopkins University in 1887. Fields was very interested to study at John Hopkins
University because apparently it was the only university in North America which
really stressed research at the time (Fields Institute, n.d.). Fields did original research
in the theory of algebraic functions that was influenced by his reknowned mentors,
Fuchs, Schwarz, Frobenius and Plank (Fields Medal, n.d.). After two ... Show more

I think it is great to know that one of the greatest mathematicians of all time is
Canadian, because most famous mathematicians are of European decent.
I think Fields lived a very interesting and dynamic life; he had a chance to pursue
his dream of research in mathematics and got to become lifelong friends with the
famous mathematician Gosta Mittag Leffler. As opposed to Alfred Nobel, Fields
understood the importance of research in mathematics and he did his best to support
it and promote it. I think that is the reason why John Charles Fields was able to take
mathematics to a new level, because he was so dedicated and passionate about his
work.
Mathematics is used in many widely different contexts and it is used everyday,
although most people don t recognize that and I believe that the creation of the
Fields medal was big step in the mathematical universe. In January 1932, Fields
indicated that the idea of the medal had the support of the major mathematical
societies of France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the United States, and he also
outlined the principles behind the proposed medal (Fields Institute, n.d). The first
Fields medal was awarded in Oslo in 1936. I think the implementation of the Fields
medal was a great idea because it served as a reward for outstanding mathematicians
and it made mathematics more recognized around the world.
Other than the Fields medal, I feel the creation of
Tuesday Of The Other June
Tuesday of the Other June is a short storynovel written by Norma Fox Mazer. The
main character, June T, is a modest girl who only lives with her mother in a small
town. But one day, she meets a bully named June M who bullies her excusing that she
has the same name. This story clearly tells about bullying, and that the author
believes that You should stand up for yourself to stop bullying.
The idea of standing up for yourself is certainly described by in the conflict and the
resolution. The conflict of this story is June T getting bullied by June M and not
standing up for herself in swimming class. However, the resolution happens when
June T stands up for herself at school. June didn t stand up for herself to not
disappoint her mother who always insisted,
It s just you and me, two women alone in the world, June darling of my heart; we

Based on my own personal experience, when my friend was bullied it only made
the situation worse whenever she didn t stand up for herself because it made the
bullies think that the bullied person is not strong enough to fight back. Also, in
personal education textbooks that the school gave me in first grade, it showed that
you should stand up for yourself when you are bullied because it might lead to a
lack of self confidence. Lastly, I read a newspaper article that people tend to lose
self confidence if they do not stand up for themselves at the very beginning point
because in the worst case, people might even commit suicide. For that reason, I
strongly believe that standing up can stop
Dubliners By James Joyce s Dubliners
In James Joyce s Dubliners, the reader experiences the different lives of Dublin s
inhabitants. Each Dubliner has different problems, fears, hopes, and dreams, which
allows culminates into many different perspectives. Joyce masterfully writes the daily
lives of these people without any romanticism. The Dublinersstories are a small
snippet into their full lives, while the reader does not get the full story, he does not
need to. Not much may seem to happen in the stories, but profound themes and
messages are hidden beneath the words. In the story An Encounter, a group of
boys imagine they are in the Wild West, while staging mock battles of cowboys vs.
Indians. The story includes many encounters that present themselves as ordinary;
however this is far from true. In fact, the story is largely commentating on often
mocking Irish religious life and escapism. In the beginning of the story one of the
boys, Leo Dillon, is scolded by Father Butler for reading The Half Penny Marvel.
Father Butler considers the comic as nonsense and tells Leo that his Roman
History is far more cultured and important (Joyce 12). A religious figure like
Father Butler is common among Joyce s works, as he has always shown contempt
for religion. In a sense, Father Butler creates structure for the boys, but it is
monotonous and rigid. Clearly Father Butler does not approve of Leo s fascinations
for the Wild West so he condemns him. The lack of support for imagination or
freedom is snuffed out by a
Cronus God Of Time Essay
Cronus or Kronos was the Titan god of Harvest and Time. He was the youngest of
the first generation of titans that were bore by Gaia, the earth, and his father
Uranus. Cronus was often depicted carrying a scythe or sickle, therefore, it can be
argued that Cronus being the god of time could also be death. The reason for this is
because death is often depicted as wearing robes while carrying a scythe or sickle.
Cronusrises to power by overthrowing his father Uranus. Uranus grows weary of his
wife Gaias creations, mainly the hundred handed Hecatonchires and the Cyclopes.
Uranus takes the Hecatonchires and shoves them back into the Earth effectively
blocking any further creation by Gaia. Gaia is not happy with this so she creates the
sickle and goes to her children, the titans, and asks which of them will exact revenge
on Uranus. In the end all of the titans decline except for Cronus. So, wielding the
sickle Cronus faces his father and castrates him, casting his testicles into the sea. The

advice to the other Latinos at my job about any questions they may have regarding
the American education system. This includes providing them with different
resources and contact information for information on colleges, scholarships,
financial aid, etc. Lastly, I have also assisted the other workers by retelling my

Mistakes Made By Thomas Analysis
Making mistakes is one of the most essential things of human life. Everybody makes
mistakes whether it be during work, school, or even at home. Lewis Thomas
emphasizes the fact that everybody does make mistakes, but it s the step the person
takes after they make the mistake that is crucial.
In the very beginning of the essay, Thomas indicates, Mistakes are at the very base of
human thought, embedded there, feeding the structure like root nodules. As people
know, plants need nitrogen for successful growth. Root nodules enable
nitrogen‐fixing bacteria to convert atmospheric nitrogen into a form that is
available for plant growth. Root nodules are essential for the proper growth of a

People think that the less mistakes a person makes, the better off they are, which isn t
true at all. But people don t understand that that is the only way we learn. After a
test, some teachers give the tests back to the students so they can see what they got
wrong. When they see what they got wrong, they can figure out what they got
wrong and they can focus on improving their knowledge on that topic. If students
never see the test, they will never know what they got right or wrong so they might
go on thinking something is right when it really isn t. My AP US history teacher,
Mr. Tubbs makes all the students do a succinct test analysis after every test. The test
analysis is supposed to consist of things you did to study for the previous test,
reflection on your t4est scores, and study habits you ll improve or add so you can do
better on the upcoming test. Admitting your mistakes is the first step to
improvement. The next step is focusing on how to not make that mistake again. If we

The Paradigm Change And Scientific Revolution
Exam I
1.We started the semester by considering the topics of paradigm change and scientific
revolution.
a.Define, in your own words, what is meant by paradigm change.
The traditional economic paradigm approaches economics by viewing systems as
only a single part within a system. The traditional economics paradigm or
neoclassical approach is ahistorical and linear. This approach to economics is
restrictive by not viewing systems as whole and only viewing systems as individual
parts. The traditional paradigm today us unable to explain economic issues or provide
the solutions needed for today s economy. The new paradigm has been gaining
attention over time to replace the old paradigm. Therefore, a paradigm change is
underway and is shifting the current reductionist thinking to a systems thinking
approach to better address production systems. Systems thinking is the approach to a
new economic paradigm change.
b.Define, in your own words, what is meant by scientific revolution.
Scientific revolution is historically the changing of traditionally accepted knowledge
to a new thought that is accepted. The nature of scientific knowledge that has been
changed and accepted from tradition, is the meaning of a scientific revolution.
c.In your opinion, are we in the midst of a paradigm change with respect to the
economics of sustainability? Make a case for you answer. This section should be the
key one in your overall response to this question

Unpredictability is a source of spontaneous emotions such as suspense, excitement,
and angst. These mixture of feelings are simultaneous and conflicting which the
brain has difficulty processing. To avoid this conflict, people use logic to make
predictions about the future and create a sense of order. In Mark Haddon s The
Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, Christopher Boone s Asperger s
syndrome makes it more difficult for him to understand social cues and the meaning
of things. Christopher s lack of basic understanding is a major cause for additional
unpredictability in his life. In order to cope with the unpredictability, Christopher

better decisions by weighing both sides to determine a form of action. Overall, this
combination increases empathy. When Christopher is kneeling beside the dog
Wellington, he thinks to himself, I like dogs. You always know what a dog is
thinking. It has four moods. Happy, sad, cross, and concentrating (Haddon 3 4).
Christopher often has a difficult time connecting with humans because of his social
drawbacks. In contrast, Christopher feels a strong emotional connection to Wellington
because a dog s emotions are basic and easy for Christopher to understand. Because of
Christopher s connection to Wellington, he decides to embark on a journey to solve
the mystery of who killed Wellington. In Siegelman s literary criticism, she speculates
that the book is presumably Christopher s attempt to create order out of uncertainty
by writing a mystery novel, under the aegis of Siobhan (Siegelman 50). Christopher s
emotional attachment to the dog drives him to solve the unpredictable. Throughout
the case, Christopher uses his logic to guide him. The combination of emotion and
logic allow him
Trichotillomania Essay
Trichotillomania is a psychological disorder, resulting in an individual having an
overwhelming urge to pull their hair out. The individual may either intentional pull
the hair out or it may be the result of unconscious behavior. Hair is pulled from the
scalp, eyebrows, arms, legs, pubic area and/or any other area on the body where there
is hair.
The method for pulling hair out, is typically done with the fingers, however, some
individuals will use items such as tweezers, for removing the hair. The crown area of
the scalp, is the primary area where individuals with trichotillomania begin pulling
hair from. Over an extended period of time they will develop large bald spots on
their head. In attempt to avoid additional bald spots, they ... Show more content on

The individual with trichotillomania will often display an increase in tension or
stress, immediately prior to pulling hair. They will also have a display of
gratification or pleasure as well as relief during and after pulling out the hair.
Psychological Effects
There is often a tremendous amount of shame and/or guilt associated with the
symptoms, as well as the after effects (the baldness), of this diagnosis that it is often
unreported. The low percentage of reports also result in lack of treatment. These
individuals tend to perform their hair pulling behaviors in private. The majority of
these individuals feel as though they are the only ones with this problem. They will
often wear hats, scarves and wigs, or style their hair in a fashion that will not bring
attention to the loss of hair.
A decrease in social interactions often occurs, due to the embarrassment the
individual feels from the noticeable hair loss. It is not uncommon for individuals
with this diagnosis to become depressed, anxious and/or develop low self esteem.
Though the individual may not have previously been diagnosed with a mental illness,
the effects of the trichotillomania will often lead to them seeking help for the
depression and/or anxiety.

Evite De Peron Analysis
Arguably the most politically controversial and influential women in Argentine
history, and Spiritual Leader of the nation, Maria Eva Duarte de Peron (1919
1952) and much of the history of her life is subject to substantial bias due to a
myriad of anti Peronist propaganda during the Peron s regime, as Marysa Navarro
states you were either for her, or against her . Although there is a consensus to a
monumental sum of the facts apropos to Eva Peron s life, the subject of discourse is
rather in the interpretations and perceptions of her life, such as her reasons for the
creation of the Eva Peron Foundation, how she came the her prominence, and her
purpose and goals. The orthodox view of Eva was formed directly after her death and
entails an image of promiscuity, manipulation, greed, and hunger for power and
revenge. However, towards the end of the twentieth century, revisionists refined this
interpretation, diminishing the negative portrayal; creating a less biased presentation.
The orthodox interpretation may be accredited to the Argentinian historian and author

however, must be read and analysed with substantial scepticism and vigilance.
Keeping in mind that Main was born to an upper class family in Argentina, it is likely
that this influenced her perception of Eva before she began writing her book. This
is due to the Eva Peron Foundation, through which Eva and Juan taxed many of the
luxuries only available to the middle and upper classes of Argentinian society, also
known as the oligarchy. This inevitably caused substantial resentment for the socialist
views of the Peronist movement and its leaders, Juan and Eva. Additionally, it is
likely that this is also the cause of Mains extreme criticism of the Eva Peron
Foundation and her targeting of Eva, deeming her as promiscuous as an attempt to of
Growing Up Communication Has Never Been A Strong Suit
Growing up communication has never been a strong suit for me, and this class has
taught me so much about it, and so has my relationship with my boyfriend. From the
day we met online, we become best friends at school and slowly we grew up

When I was in eighth grade there was an app called Yik Yak, that was extremely

Accounting Information System Essay
Introduction The application of Accounting Information Systems has become
widespread among enterprises in Australia due to improved affordability and
efficiency resulting from their technical power. The vendors have moved from
desktop systems to cloud accounting, and it has led to a challenge of selection and
implementation to customers and users. This paper offers a synthesis of literature on
AIS in Australia, its history, development, and adoption, analysis of the current
market size and how the leaders in the market have managed to carve out their
competitive advantage. There are also gaps in the sector, in particular for customers.
Hence the paper also provides recommendations.
History
At the beginning of computerization, accounting software was automated and mainly
included modules such as accounts receivable, payroll, accounts payable and the
general ledger. McMickle (1989) provides that accountants were the only
professionals who first used IT related systems. Late in the 1970s, increase technical
accounting issues led to the use of technical assistants who developed and maintained
AIS for organizations resulting in the emergence of the system information sector
within accounting. In the 1990s, resources events agents (REA) were initiated and
with database technology advancement, new accounting models emerged (Walker
and Denna, 1997). AIS could capture data which sometimes was not financial related
accounting hence REA led to applications for detailed business

Character Analysis Of Sketchy
The journey of a lifetime starts with the turning of a page (Anders). This means
that as a book is read new adventures come along as well as relationships with
characters. The book Sketchy written by Olivia Samms has a very interesting and
unique plot. The main character, Beatrice Washington, has just come out of rehab
and is trying to stay drug free. She has also just moved to a new high school and is
trying to get settled there. Although a setback to her goal occurs when Willa
Prescott, a girl from the high school, is raped and left to die. Bea meets Willa in
her art class and soon finds out she had a rare and strange ability. Bea has the
power to draw what people are thinking. She had read Willa s mind and drawn the
rapist, although Willa refused to admit that she remembered anything from the
night she was raped. Bea has a new goal in mind; bring justice to Willa and the
families of the other girls who had been murdered/raped. Only if she can convince
the police to believe her, and have Willa agree to who the rapist was. When Charlie
reviewed the book Sketchy on goodreads.com, she was very enthusiastic and rated
the book very positively, focusing on characterdevelopment. Charlie is accurate in
her assessment of the book because Beatrice is a very relatable character but is not
the typical teenager which is portrayed in most books; she is more down to earth.
Charlie left a positive review of the book, making many comments favoring the
setup of character development. She makes a remark saying nothing is so over the
top to make it unbelievable and by doing so, I believe a wide audience will be able
to easily connect with the character . This helps support the idea that the build up of
character development can help increase the overall plot. It does this because it states
how Beatrice is a character portrayed as a rebellious teenager but it is not
extremely stereotypical and this helps the reader be more related to the story and
feel as if he/she could imagine themselves in this position. Charlie also notes that It
adds a dimension that elevates a good story to a great story . This is referring to the
way the characters and supporting characters help add another side to the story to

Feminism Essay
Both Virginia Woolf, in a speech addressing a graduating all women class, and Naomi
Wolf, in her text The Beauty Myth, contemplate feminism from an economic
viewpoint. While Woolf believes women need money and a room of their own to
have economic independence, Wolf gives credence to the fact that the beauty industry
is hindering the independence of women. Through male pomposity, the conventional
lives of women, obsession with physical appearance, and the reality that beauty is
diverse, both Woolf and Wolf explain the significance of our worlds economy.
Women have always been economically dependent on men. Any land or money that
was in a woman s possession was given to her father or husband. Women have stayed

In her speech, Woolf was asked to talk about women and fiction. She resolved that
without money nor education, women would not be able to create fiction. Which is
why, in the Elizabethan era, women did not generate any sort of poetry. Woolf
pondered over this for a while, and hypothesized that
Shakespeare had an ingenious sister, Judith. Judith had the imagination and ability
to produce creative works just like her brother. However, Judith never had any
education so she wasn t able to thrive. In short, the story goes like this: Judith s
father arranges a marriage for her, Judith runs away from home and goes to the
city, she tries to live out her dream and act, she gets laughed at, she has an affair,
and then Judith kills herself at the crossroads. The fact that Judith kills herself at the
crossroads has great symbolism. The crossroads represents choice. The choice is
that one can go along with her potential and be who she wants to be, or she can go
along with the flow.
Even though this choice is existent, it is extremely improbable. As Woolf states,
quot;it is unthinkable that any woman in Shakespeare s day had had
Shakespeare s genius. For genius like Shakespeare s is not born among labouring,
uneducated, servile people, quot; (Woolf 353). Women have never had the
opportunity to produce poetry because they have never been given the freedom they
need to do so. Because women have always been poor and reliant

The Breakfast Club and Teen Identity
The movie The Breakfast Club takes viewers on a comedic tour of the ups and
downs of adolescence. The Breakfast Club, directed by John Hughes, focuses on the
events that unfold between five very different high school students during a Saturday
detention. Even though the movie was shot in the 1980 s the characters portrayal is
still relatable in a way to a lot of people today. Director John Hughes takes us on a
comedic ride with what seems like another typical teen movie while still portraying
a few life lessons along the way and exposing some truths behind stereotyping.
Anyone who has ever been a high school student can probably find some way to
relate to the characters in the film. The movie revolves around 5 students who for
various reasons have been sent to Saturday detention by principle Vernon. The
principle asks each of the students to write a one page paper on who they think they
are. As the day progresses, we see the teens begin to bond with each other and find
out about each other and themselves. The film begins by introducing each of the
five characters. John Hughes gives us five common archetypes with each of his
characters including: a jock, a popular princess, a geek, a criminal, and basket case.
These generic characters make it easier for the audience to relate to one of the
characters in the film. Andy, the jock, is the generic high school athlete, or so it seems.

Why it is important to follow carers instructions in respect of their child s food
allergies or intolerances
For some children, it is essential to monitor their diet and the food that they eat has
to be prepared and planned very carefully as they may have allergies, intolerances or
medical conditions, such as: disease or diabetes. You should take care to follow the
parents instructions relating to their child allergies or intolerances, failure to do so
could result in the child health being endangered, possibly even in death.
Allergies
Contact with certain fields can be fatal for some children with allergies. This means
that great care has to be taken and I system must be designed to vent children from
coming into contact with their allergen (for example nuts or dairy products). Where
the allergy is severe, this may affect the food that can be prepared and eating in the
setting as some children can have a reaction just from being near other children who
are eating food containing and allergen.
Systems to vent children from coming into contact with a known food allergen
include photographs and names of the children in the kitchen, only key persons
giving the child food and certain plate being used for particular children so as to
provide a visual reminder. It is also essential that children are supervised when they
are eating so that if an allergic reaction occurs emergency help can be called. Signs
of an allergic reaction include swelling of the lips your eyes, redness
The Pros And Cons Of Organic Food
The Pros and Cons of Organic Foods
The organic food industry is booming. Demand for organic food is higher than
ever, according to the Organic Trade Association s recent report. American s spent
a whopping $43.3 billion on organic food in 2015, an 11 percent increase over last
year s record. And yet 5.6 billion pounds of pesticides are used around the world each

In order to be certified USDA organic, the product or produce has to contain at least
95 percent organic ingredients. If an item is said to be made with organic
ingredients, they must be at least 70 percent organic. Organic food has to be
produced and processed according to strict USDA standards and be inspected to be

The Pros
Organic foods are free of harmful pesticides, antibiotics, GMOs, and additives.
They have less of an environmental impact than conventional farming.
The nutritional value is typically higher in organic foods.
Avoid pesticides
One of the main reasons to buy organic food is to avoid possible exposure to
pesticides. Over 1 billion pounds of pesticides are used every year in the United
States alone, according to a study in Reviews on Environmental Health. These
chemicals are designed to be toxic. They are used in an attempt to prevent damage
from insects, weeds, rodents, and fungus. However, their long term safety in low
doses is not fully understood.
While there are no current long term studies about the potential impacts of pesticide
residue on human health, there is growing evidence that concentrated pesticide
exposure is related to increased rates of chronic diseases like diabetes, cancer, and
Alzheimer s, according to a recent study. Experts believe that the amount of pesticide
residue on produce is not in high enough concentrations to be harmful.
Pesticides are known to be especially dangerous for children and pregnant women.
They have been linked to attention and learning problems, low birth weight, abnormal
brain and nervous system development, and pediatric cancer, according to the
American Academy of Pediatrics.

Robert Fulghum Dinner Diction
Did you know there was a name for the nasty, icky, gross, unsanitary gunk that is in
the bottom of your sink after you wash dishes? Well there is and the name of it is
dinner dandruff just like the essay by Robert Fulghum. Fulghum wrote the essay
Dinner Dandruff to entertain the reader along with relating to them about a
problem that everyone that washes dishes has. In the essay he uses many different
types of author s style but the main three are diction, syntax, and imagery. Diction
is the author s word choice while syntax is the author s sentence choice, and
imagery is where you can picture what s happening while reading the story. First of
all the author uses diction in the essay to create the tone by using smaller words
along with more proper words. For an example in the essay it states A rational,
intelligent, objective person would say that this is simply a mixture of food
particles too big to go down the the drain, composed of pits of protein,
carbohydrates, fat, and fiber. This shows that Fulghum uses diction when he explains
what dinner dandruff is made of by using a higher vocabulary like particles and
carbohydrates it creates an effect on the essay. It makes the essay sound... Show more

Syntax is the arrangement of words into sentences, Fulghum uses syntax often in the
essay to show the importances of words and to create the humorous effect. One
example of it would be Once, in school, I came across the french word ordure, and
when the teacher told me it meant unspeakable filth I knew exactly to what is
referred. We had it every night. In the bottom of our sink. The sentences have syntax
and create an effect not only because of the diction in them but because the lengths of
them and the structure. The first set of parentheses is much longer compared to the
other too. That way the other ones are more dramatic and forces you to take a pause
between them which ultimately helps set the

They all increase the number of collisions.
Fair testing
* To make this a fair test I will only change one variable.
* Each experiment will be done three times so an average can be found.
* The same equipment will be used in each experiment.
Method
В· Measure out 50ml of thiosulphate and add it to the conical flask.
В· Draw a cross on a piece of paper and place the conical flask on it.
В· Measure out 10ml of acid and add it to the conical flask and start timing.
В· Look into the top of the conical flask and when the cross can no longer be seen

В· Do the experiment again but measure out 8ml of hydrochloric acid. Then add
2ml of distilled water. The ratio for each experiment will therefore be 10:0, 8:2, 6:4,
4:6 and of acid to water
Conclusion
I conclude that whilst carrying out this investigation I found out that the more acid
was in the solution the cross on the paper disappeared quicker. This shows that the
more concentrated the acid is then the quicker the reaction time. My research about
the collision theory was correct and the more concentrated the solution is then the
number of collisions will be increased. If the numbers of collisions are increased then
the reaction time will also be increased.
My prediction that the less concentrated the acid is then the longer it will take for the
sodium thiosulphate to react with the acid is correct because experiment number 5

Dr. Kotter, A Leading Advocate And Educator
John Kotter, a leading advocate and educator in change initiatives, expresses two
essential characteristics that must be present in any change initiative. First, any
change that is considered to be useful and necessary must go through a multi step
process that will transcend obstacles in its way. Second, it is essential that any
change initiative must be lead by effective leadership(Kotter, 1996). However, any
leader in a change initiate must reconcile the reality that a major component to
mankind s instinctive nature is that people have an inherent need for predictability
and order (Hogan, 2007). Leaders must, therefore, consider that initiatives may be
experienced in ways that contradict this basic need leading to employee resistance
(Bernerth, 2011). Considering such a potential obstacle, Kotter developed an eight
stage change process to guide organizations through initiatives in ways that may
retain employee stability and enable employees to maintain a sense of identity and
understanding (Huy, 1999). John Kotter, however, is not a pioneer on the topic of
change initiatives. Though Kotter s model is likely the most recognized model for
organizational change initiatives, Kurt Lewinmay be the first to have presented the
issue of social change initiatives as he developed a three step planned change
approach. In this paper, Lewin s three step model will be utilized to consider a
change initiative for a small group ministry in a Christian church in the Phoenix area.

rights consists of the 10 first amendments of the USA constitution, which was

the government to have too much power in their hands. The reason why the bill of
rights was created was because the Anti Federalist didn t want the government to
go over their rights. They responded that it was needed to have a bill Or list of
rights because it was needed to protect such basic liberties as freedom of speech and
religion. The reason why they wanted them to be written down on a legal document
was because they knew that the government would ignore or deny them. Many of the

The African Slave Trade has affected a very large part of the world. This
phenomenon has been described in many different ways, such as slave trade, forced
migration and genocide. When people today think of slavery, many envision the
form in which it existed in the United States before the American Civil War (1861
1865): one racially identifiable group owning and exploiting another. However, in
other parts of the world, slaveryhas taken many different forms. In Africa, many
societies recognized slaves merely as property, but others saw them as dependents
whom, eventually might be integrated into the families of slave owners. Still other
societies allowed slaves to attain positions of military or administrative power. Most

To increase production, a family had to invest in more labourers and thus increase
their share of land. The simplest and quickest way to do this was to invest in
slaves. To help service this demand, many early African societies conducted slave
raids on distant villages, this was with the idea of having Africans work for
Africans but ones of a different ethnic background, and after slavery was abolished
by Europe domestic slavery grew, many slaves were made to work on clove
plantations in Zanzibar for example.
Women constituted the majority of early African slaves. In addition to agricultural
work, female slaves carried out other economic functions, such as trading and
cotton spinning and dyeing. They also performed domestic chores, such as
preparing food, washing clothes, and cleaning. Powerful African men kept female
slaves as wives or concubines, and in many societies these women stood as
symbols of male wealth. Male slaves typically farmed and herded animals. Those
who belonged to wealthy families and especially of ruling lineages of states also
worked as porters and rowers, and learned crafts such as weaving, construction, and
metalwork. Domestic slaves worked for the royal families, some male, and fewer
female, slaves held positions of high status and trust within their societies. In pre
colonial states in the interior of West and Central Africa, slaves often served as
soldiers and confidants of high officials. With their necessarily limited ambitions and

know right from wrong. It is argued that people have an obligation to animals, so that
we can protect their welfare.

More than five billion dollars of federal tax revenue are spent annually on animal
research ( Bio Medical Research ). With that money there could be drug rehabilitation
programs, nutrition counseling for the disadvantaged, or even improving water and
air quality; but instead animals get experimented on. Animals, like the rest of nature,
were understood not have any sort of value, except to bring enjoyment to lives.
Animal life has some value (Frey, p27).
Scientists test products on animals to see if they are safe, or if any side effects may
occur. Many different companies use tests on animals, such as: the Draize Test and
the LD 50, or Lethal Dose 50 Percent.
The Draize Test is used to measure the harmfulness of chemicals found in household
products and cosmetics, by observing the damage they cause to the eyes and skin of
animals ( Product Testing ). Albino rabbits are used for the eye irritancy of a
solution. The rabbits suffer extreme pain, mutilation and blindness. Often the rabbits
eyes are held open with metal clips. The damage to their eyes are irreparable and
leave the eyes ulcerated and bleeding. At the end of the test, the animals are killed to
see what the internal effects were ( Product Testing ).
The Lethal Dose 50 Test kills half of the test group. This test was developed in the
1920 s, and is used to measure the acute toxicity of certain ingredients. This test uses
200 animals or more, and the animals suffer
Character Changes By Ebenezer Scrooge
Ebenezer Scrooge wasn t the most pleasant name to hear, the no good miser would
do the most horrible things, like yelling at carolers, refusing to spend time with
family, or even give to the needy. But now, the past, present and future are going to
meet up to him and he is going to have to change, and he will have to see the fault in
his actions.
To start off, in many instances Scrooge showed what type of person he is, even at
the beginning of the play his old friend Marley described him as a wrenching,
grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous, old sinner! (paragraph 4 page 236)
Which doesn t seem like a way you would describe an old friend even if you are
dead, unless the facts are undoubtedly true. However this isn t the only occurrence
in the play makes us see how Scrooge should change his ways, we see Scrooge at
the beginning sitting alone counting his money saying, They owe me money and I
will collect. I will have them jailed, if I have to. (paragraph 6 page 236) This shows
how Scrooge has no tolerance for anything, although this can be good in some
cases, others it isn t the best way to treat people. Especially if you take such
extreme measures very quickly, like sending someone to jail or example. But this is
all about to change, because Scrooge needs to get better, he needs to learn how to
treat people.
One wintry night before Christmas he came face to face with his dead friend warning
him of three ghosts on their way to greet him, the ghosts of Christmas past,
Susan Glaspell s Trifles
In Susan Glaspell s Trifles(1961) the County Attorney, George Henderson, is
investigating the murder of John Wright. The County Attorney is joined along side a
witness, Mr Hale, his wife, the Sheriff, and his wife. As the story goes on, you learn
through dramatic irony that it was indeed Mrs. Wright who murdered John Wright.
Many literary works have clear defined genderroles, Glaspell use s these gender roles
to show the mistreatment and representation of the women in the play. This feminist
analysis is shown throughout the play through many different aspects. Trifles is
defined as something that does not have much importance or value. Throughout the
play, you see the many things men believe to be trifle to women. Such as, Mrs.
Wrights frozen preservatives they find on the kitchen counter. The Sheriff mentions at
the beginning of the play, Well, you can beat the woman! Held for murder and worryin
about her preserves. (1032). The men in the play are... Show more content on

During the play, the men criticize the women for worrying about all the trifle things
throughout the house, such as the frozen preserves in the kitchen and the mess
throughout the house. The men also do not see the women as anything but their
house wives, who they have control over. An example of this is when the county
attorney states For that matter, a sheriffs wife is married to the law (1039). The
county attorney is stating that since Mrs. Peters is married to the sheriff that she
also holds a part of this title and that she would not do anything to undermine him.
The county attorney states that given Mrs. Peter s marriage to the sheriff, she is to
never undermine him because what she does reflects back on him. Another example
of how the women in Trifles have no self representation is that throughout the whole
play none of the women go by their first names. When speaking to each other it is
always Mrs. Hale or Mrs.
Example Of A Shaman Research Paper
We learned through many years of practice or through practices of firing someone
of the simplest illness to a very severe illness through many different types of
practice. We see how the science of medicine to the works of tribes and cultures
utilize their own resources made available to them and using their resources in order
to cure someone of an illness. We see how shamans heal, they often heal by working
with a spiritor a soul, using mother nature such as rocks, trees, and the nutrients the
earth has provided along with the knowledge and information that is passed down
from generation to generation by their ancestors. We see how often shamans must
communicate with the spirit that will help them in order to proceed with a cure for
the ill person. The effectiveness of a shaman is generally measured by the results he
or she is able to achieve. The actual techniques and methods of the shaman are so
unique that there is no way to see if the shaman and their technique actually works if
you can not honestly put faith in the shaman. Using tools other than the nature such
as drums, rattles, and singing. It is believed that if you do not believe in the system

When a taboo in a tribe is broken by a member then the belief of that they are

John Steinbeck s East of Eden
Biblical Symbolism in East of Eden
Throughout the novel East of Eden, Steinbeck uses many biblical references to
illustrate clearly the conflict between the opposing forces of good and evil. Much
of the plot of East of Eden is centered upon the two sets of brothers representing
Cain and Abel. Both pairs are similar to Cain and Abel in the way they go about
winning their fathers favors. All four give gifts to their fathers, and the fathers
dismiss the gifts of Charles and Caleb, the Cain representations (Marks, Jay Lester.
p.121). Caleb and Charles Trask are obviously the more malignant brothers. They are
also the more loving towards their father. Steinbeck s purpose in this is to illustrate
the need of the Cain character in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cathy Kate combines many biblical figures as well. She is not only Eve, but she is
Cain s wife and the serpent of Eden as well (Fonterose, Joseph. p.3380). Thus she is
the representation of evil too. Cathy is evil to the point where she is not human.
Her presence in the novel is meant to represent evil and all of its cruel intentions.
All of her deeds are intended to show how far from the real world Cathy actually is
(Howard, Levant. p. 245). Steinbeck compares Cathy to other prostitutes in Salinas
Valley, the setting of Eastof Eden. She is described as the only whore who is
incapable of being a good person. She is an inhuman being whose life revolves
around cruelty and wrongdoing. She is solely satanic and destroys the innocence of
man (Marks, Jay Lester. p. 126 127).
John Steinbeck includes more of the tale of Genesis: 4 than is actually told in the
bible. The basis of this is a Jewish story involving twin sisters of both Cain and
Abel. The two disputed over Abel s twin whom Abel was to marry. Cain murdered
Abel and wed the twin sister of his brother (Fonterose, Joseph. p.3380). The story
differs also in that it is Abel who leaves his home instead of Cain. Abel found his
Eden, represented by Salinas Valley, but lost it after fathering a second generation
very similar to the first, Caleb representing Cain and Aron representing Abel
(Fonterose, Joseph. p.3379). The story is changed by Steinbeck to illustrate
Impacts Of The Regional Trading Blocs
Since the World War II, the creation of regional economic blocs has become an
essential political remedy that gathers countries and nations rather than divide.
Essentially, the creation of the economic regional blocs aims to minimize the
obstacles between nations that share the same geographic border and to facilitate the
circulations of goods and services. In fact, the regional trading blocs differ in terms of
political structure and economic objectives, but the rapidity of trading goods and
services within the different regions around the globe wouldn t be possible without
establishing unified political and economic units. For example, the European Union
(EU) as other regional blocs gathers different countries that share the same
geographical borders and differ in cultures, languages, and political systems. Actually,
the differences and similarities between the various political structures and economic
objectives are due to numerous factors such as history, culture, and the level of
imports and exports to each country. However, the impacts of the regional trading
blocs have some disadvantages that have negative impacts on the local economies of
the regional blocs and on the global economy as well.
2.Regional economic integration
a)What is regional economic integration?
Regional integration is the combination of political and economic regulations and
agreements between two or more nation states. In fact, the main objective of regional
integration is to collaborate and

BACKGROUND According to information gathered from the Sprint s 10K

subscribers) in the United States behind AT amp;T and Verizon. Sprint offers
wireless services to subscribers in all states, including Puerto Rico, and the U.S.

SPRINT S DISADVANTAGE Even though Sprint has become very creative its
pricing models and product offerings, it still lags behind its two major competitors
when it comes to bandwidth offering. In the age where speed is often king, Sprint
needs to catch up to the competition quickly. In a recent exercise conducted by
TechHive, the top four US carriers were tested for the speed transmitted by their
3G and 4G networks. In their tests, TechHive used a Galaxy Note 2 from Samsung
to test out 4G LTE, while they use the iPhone 4S to test 3G speeds. Each of those
devices are sold on the four networks, so making sure there was a fair playing field
is key. During the 3G tests, T Mobile s network performed well showing strong
downloads and uploads speeds, averaging a 3.13 mbps download and 1.04 mbps
upload time. During the test, Sprint s 3G network did not perform well with
average speeds of 0.4mbps down and just 0.31 mbps up. Verizon s network also
did not perform well on the 3G, averaging a lowly 0.8 mbps down and 0.52 mbps
up. AT amp;T came in second place for 3G testing at 2.97 mbps on the download
and 0.96 mbps on the upload. When it came to the 4G testing, T Mobile and
Verizon showed similar numbers on download, averaging around 9 mbps, while
Verizon beat out T Mobile on the upload with 5.47 mbps compared to 2.65 mbps. AT
amp;T annihilated the competition with an average download speed of 13.15 mbps

Basic minimum income on the surface appears to be an innovative idea and a good

Phil Murphys Pros And Cons
Christopher Christie has been New Jersey s governor since 2010, his second and
final term will culminate January 18, 2018. Phil Murphy and Kimberly Guadagno
are running head to head for the position of governor on November 7, 2017. It is
evident that the optimal choice as future New Jersey governor is Phil Murphy.
Phil Murphy was born to a middle class family who lived from one paycheck to the
next. His mother worked as a secretary and his father was unable to complete his
high school career, therefore he worked on any job offered to him. Phil learned to
be hardworking from a young age and began working at 13 washing dishes in a diner.
He then attended Harvard, with multiple loans and part time jobs. Additionally, he

Women have been fighting for equality since the 19th century, and currently in the
21st century women still are not treated equal to men. Murphy states, It is
unacceptable that gender inequality continues to exist in 2017. As governor, I will
never put politics ahead of women s health and equality. Period. (Murphy) Under the
Christie Administration the efforts to ensure women s equal pay was vetoed
continually. In addition to the cutting of funding for Planned Parenthood. Murphy
plans to prohibit employers from asking job applicants for their salary history in
order to obtain a fair wage. Likewise he plans to restore funding for women s health,
a child and caregiver tax credit. Murphy has already gotten busy with helping women
in need, as he has created with his wife; 180 Turning Lives Around. Alongside
creating equality for women Murphy proposed protecting illegal immigrants. Murphy
understands that all those who live in the U.S. are immigrants, except for Native
Americans. Immigrants and dreamers represent our best hopes and aspirations. They
are a vital part of our state and our future. I will protect them and ensure that their
dreams do in fact come true right here, in their home state. (Murphy) Murphy
comprehends that is hard to hear that after receiving an education until 12th grade a
student cannot continue. Simultaneously, he believes that in order for the state to
thrive as a whole neighbours should help
Paper On Oscar Wilde
Oscar Wilde was an Irish novelist, playwright, and poet. He is recognized as one of
the foremost figures of the late nineteenth century aesthetic movement, centered on
the doctrine of art for art s sake , supporting an emphasis on aesthetic value rather
than social political or moral themes. Wilde was born into an intellectual Irish
family on October 16th, 1854. His father was an aural surgeon and his mother was a
poet. She established a literary salon through which she exposed Wilde and his
siblings to literature, art, and culture. As a young man, Wilde attended Trinity College
in Dublin, and then Oxford for further studies. It was here that he made his first
substantial attempts at creative writing and adopted aestheticism as a way of life....

Throughout the next decade, Wilde would publish poetry, marry, and go on lecture
tours of Great Britain and America. In 1890, the first version of Wilde s first and
only novel The Picture of Dorian Gray was published in Lippincott s Monthly
Magazine. It aroused enormous indignation in Wilde s contemporaries, and
reviewers criticized it due to its homosexual allusions and immoral characters.
Wilde responded, If a work of art is rich and vital and complete, those who have
artistic instincts will see its beauty and those to whom ethics appeal more strongly
will see its moral lesson . Even so, he revised it extensively before publishing it as a
novel the following year, adding six new chapters and removing passages that were

Analysis Of The Queen Bee And Her Court
Trying to find individuality in a world of social expectations is the most trying
challenge any one person is expected to overcome. The Queen Bee and Her Court
by Rosalind Wiseman gives readers an in depth look at high school cliques and
social hierarchies, and the effects of peer pressure while trying to find one s self.
From the Queen Beewho utilizes her power to control the wannabes, to the target who
is just waiting for the end of high school, everyone can see themselves as at least one
of the author s stereotypes. Before starting this assignment, I will admit that I was
skeptical of the idea I could even possibly learn anything from this article. I asked
myself How can the author really know how high school is? Over time, however, I
realized the truth in everything that she wrote. High school is a place to figure out
individuality and gain a sense of self. It is hard, however, to do so when there are
so many social expectations and societal rules to follow. As I pondered the truth of
the difficulty of these expectations, I realized that not only is this exemplary of
high school; however, it carries on throughout college and even into careers. No
matter where life takes someone on their path, there will always be a Pleaser, there
will always be a Target, and there will always be Sidekicks and Queen Bees. The
most important thing is learning to co exist with the peer pressurethat comes with the
ever repeating social patterns. As author Collin Hanks

Sincerity Essay

  • 1. Sincerity Essay Crafting an essay on the theme of sincerity can be both challenging and introspective. The difficulty lies not only in defining and understanding the multifaceted concept of sincerity but also in expressing one's thoughts and experiences authentically. Sincerity is a quality that transcends mere honesty; it involves a genuine alignment between one's thoughts, words, and actions. To write a compelling sincerity essay, one must delve into personal reflections and confront the complexities of authenticity. It requires a delicate balance between self-awareness and vulnerability, as the writer must navigate through their own experiences to explore instances of sincerity in their lives. The challenge is not only to articulate the importance of sincerity but also to convey its nuances and implications in various contexts. Moreover, the difficulty in crafting a sincerity essay stems from the inherent subjectivity of the topic. Sincerity can be interpreted differently by individuals, influenced by cultural, social, and personal perspectives. Balancing the universal aspects of sincerity with its subjective nature adds an extra layer of intricacy to the writing process. The writer must grapple with finding a unique voice to convey their insights on sincerity, avoiding clichГ©s and superficial analysis. To make the essay truly impactful, the author needs to connect with the audience on a personal level, sharing experiences that resonate universally while remaining genuine. In conclusion, composing a sincerity essay is a challenging endeavor that demands self- reflection, a nuanced understanding of the concept, and a genuine expression of one's thoughts and experiences. It is not merely about writing on a topic but about embodying the very quality one seeks to explore. Through this process, the writer not only communicates their perspective on sincerity but also undergoes a personal journey of introspection. • 3. The Walt Disney Company Using Second Life As A Public... Virtual communities such as Second Life have revolutionized communication channels for public relations professionals. The virtual communication platform uses the integration of social and digital media to communicate with target audiences. The internet based simulated environment permits users to not only interact with each other, but with products and services provided by organizations and individuals. Thus, Second Lifehas become an interactive, collaborative and commercial communication channel to connect to and influence global audience behavior (Barnes Mattsson, 2011). Already internationally recognized, the Walt DisneyCompany was an early participant of Second Life. The purpose of Disney s virtual world establishment was to give Disney fans a place to hangout, enjoy the scenery and get updates about the parks (McConnon Reena, 2007). The five advantages of the Walt Disney Company using Second Life as a public relations tool are: Tourism and international public relations have a positive relationship, access to target audience feedback through personal interfaces, Second Life serves as another platform for dissemination of information and promotion of organizational activities, the content of the virtual world creates an hyperreality for identified target audiences and the platform removes geographically barriers encouraging people from around the world to collaborate. The people of the United States and its territories enjoyed a prosperous life, as the economy grew 7 percent per year between 1922 and 1927. In this period, also referred as Roaring Twenties , there was high economic growth with increase in the living standards of Americans. According to the textbook, Nation of Nations , the reasons for the economic expansions in the nineteenth century were due to the boom in the industrial sector after the World War I and high consumer spending. The employment rate was higher and living standard of the people increased. Lower Production costs increased sales and consumers spend more to purchase goods. In the book, American Stories , it states that American people enjoyed the highest standard of living of any nation on earth. In the 1920s, United States emerged as the worlds richest and most highly developed nations. The key factor for the industrial boom and economic development lay in the hands of technological advancements. Business, advertising and marketing, mass productions and other industrial developments were the main reasons of the development of the US economy. The economic boom peaked in 1922 until its end in1927. During this period, there was growth in consumer goods producing industries. • 8. The United States And Japan After the atomic bombs had fallen and Japan was smoldering, very few people thought the land of the rising sun would ever rise again. However, as history can attest, they were wrong. In the wake of the 1945 bombings, the occupation and subsequent reconstruction of Japan was begun, just a short month later. The reconstruction of Japan was spearheaded by the Supreme Commander of Allied Powers, General Douglas MacArthur, and was formulated before the smoke even cleared .This reconstruction plan opened new gates to the Japanese people that were previously untapped. Additionally, the new diplomatic relations between the United Statesand their former enemy, Japan, following World War Two had a profound impact upon economic, defensive, and social policies of both the United States and the Japanese postВwar governments. The exact nature of this impact would not be truly appreciated, however, for years to come. ECONOMIC In the years immediately following the second Great War, Japan was struck by what some would call an economic miracle . This miracle allowed for the industrialized nation of Japan to regain its foothold in the economic sectors of Southeast Asia. Essentially, after the war, the U.S. called for unconditional surrender and for Japan to be stripped of most of its empire, occupied by allied troops, and demilitarized. Japan would then be integrated into the world economy, and its economic viability would be guaranteed through free trade Although the
  • 9. Essay on A Taste of Honey by Shelagh Delaney In writing A Taste of Honey, what impact did Shelagh Delaney hope to have upon her audience? What techniques did she use to achieve these aims? Shelagh Delaney wrote A Taste of Honey in 1958 when she was only 18. A Taste of Honey is a story about the relationship between a girl and her mother. The mother, Helen, who is a semi whore, leaves her daughter, Jo, to get married to Peter. Jo has a relationship with a sailor and gets pregnant. The sailor then leaves for duty. Jo meets Geoff, they become friends and Geoff offers to help Jo bring up the baby. Helen returns after splitting up with Peter and wants Jo back. The audience that Shelagh Delaney was writing for consisted mainly of middle class and upper class people. Her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This was not how the working classes lived and Shelagh Delaney outlined this very clearly in A Taste of Honey . Although the characters live in a world where they are treated differently because of their class, race and sexuality, they still enjoy life. Shelagh Delaney represents this and puts forward ideas without prejudice. From this play we can see that Shelagh Delaney wanted to change theatrical productions to represent the working classes rather than the upper classes. In many previous productions the working classes had been represented as gloomy and bad tempered. She was not afraid to try new ideas, bringing a completely new angle to theatrical productions. The audience were now seeing plays about real people living in a real world, not ideal families living in perfect situations. The audience would have been shocked by the reality factor of this play. Presenting the working classes in a play had been a problem to many previous playwrights. They had wanted to include them in their plays but had wanted to miss out the reality factor. Shelagh Delaney was not frightened to show this side of life and has overcome the problem by showing the working classes as they really are. She achieves this by presenting the characters as down to earth and creates an environment which is basic and slightly crude. Shelagh Delaney
  • 10. John Charles Fields Essay John Charles Fields John Charles Fields is perhaps one of the most famous Canadian Mathematicians of all time. He was born on May 14, 1863 in Hamilton Ontario, and died August 9, 1932 in Toronto, Ontario (Young, 1998). He graduated from the University of Toronto at the age of 21 with a B.A in Mathematics and went on to get his Ph.D. at John Hopkins University in 1887. Fields was very interested to study at John Hopkins University because apparently it was the only university in North America which really stressed research at the time (Fields Institute, n.d.). Fields did original research in the theory of algebraic functions that was influenced by his reknowned mentors, Fuchs, Schwarz, Frobenius and Plank (Fields Medal, n.d.). After two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I think it is great to know that one of the greatest mathematicians of all time is Canadian, because most famous mathematicians are of European decent. I think Fields lived a very interesting and dynamic life; he had a chance to pursue his dream of research in mathematics and got to become lifelong friends with the famous mathematician Gosta Mittag Leffler. As opposed to Alfred Nobel, Fields understood the importance of research in mathematics and he did his best to support it and promote it. I think that is the reason why John Charles Fields was able to take mathematics to a new level, because he was so dedicated and passionate about his work. Mathematics is used in many widely different contexts and it is used everyday, although most people don t recognize that and I believe that the creation of the Fields medal was big step in the mathematical universe. In January 1932, Fields indicated that the idea of the medal had the support of the major mathematical societies of France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the United States, and he also outlined the principles behind the proposed medal (Fields Institute, n.d). The first Fields medal was awarded in Oslo in 1936. I think the implementation of the Fields medal was a great idea because it served as a reward for outstanding mathematicians and it made mathematics more recognized around the world. Other than the Fields medal, I feel the creation of

The main character, June T, is a modest girl who only lives with her mother in a small town. But one day, she meets a bully named June M who bullies her excusing that she has the same name. This story clearly tells about bullying, and that the author believes that You should stand up for yourself to stop bullying. The idea of standing up for yourself is certainly described by in the conflict and the resolution. Also, in personal education textbooks that the school gave me in first grade, it showed that you should stand up for yourself when you are bullied because it might lead to a lack of self confidence. • 12. Dubliners By James Joyce s Dubliners In James Joyce s Dubliners, the reader experiences the different lives of Dublin s inhabitants. Each Dubliner has different problems, fears, hopes, and dreams, which allows culminates into many different perspectives. Joyce masterfully writes the daily lives of these people without any romanticism. The Dublinersstories are a small snippet into their full lives, while the reader does not get the full story, he does not need to. Not much may seem to happen in the stories, but profound themes and messages are hidden beneath the words. In the story An Encounter, a group of boys imagine they are in the Wild West, while staging mock battles of cowboys vs. Indians. The story includes many encounters that present themselves as ordinary; however this is far from true. In fact, the story is largely commentating on often mocking Irish religious life and escapism. In the beginning of the story one of the boys, Leo Dillon, is scolded by Father Butler for reading The Half Penny Marvel. Father Butler considers the comic as nonsense and tells Leo that his Roman History is far more cultured and important (Joyce 12). A religious figure like Father Butler is common among Joyce s works, as he has always shown contempt for religion. In a sense, Father Butler creates structure for the boys, but it is monotonous and rigid. Clearly Father Butler does not approve of Leo s fascinations for the Wild West so he condemns him. The lack of support for imagination or freedom is snuffed out by a

He was the youngest of the first generation of titans that were bore by Gaia, the earth, and his father Uranus. Cronus was often depicted carrying a scythe or sickle, therefore, it can be argued that Cronus being the god of time could also be death. The reason for this is because death is often depicted as wearing robes while carrying a scythe or sickle. Cronusrises to power by overthrowing his father Uranus. Uranus grows weary of his wife Gaias creations, mainly the hundred handed Hecatonchires and the Cyclopes. Uranus takes the Hecatonchires and shoves them back into the Earth effectively blocking any further creation by Gaia. Gaia is not happy with this so she creates the sickle and goes to her children, the titans, and asks which of them will exact revenge on Uranus. • 17. Mistakes Made By Thomas Analysis Making mistakes is one of the most essential things of human life. Everybody makes mistakes whether it be during work, school, or even at home. Lewis Thomas emphasizes the fact that everybody does make mistakes, but it s the step the person takes after they make the mistake that is crucial. In the very beginning of the essay, Thomas indicates, Mistakes are at the very base of human thought, embedded there, feeding the structure like root nodules. As people know, plants need nitrogen for successful growth. Root nodules enable nitrogen‐fixing bacteria to convert atmospheric nitrogen into a form that is available for plant growth. Root nodules are essential for the proper growth of a plant just as mistakes are essential for the proper growth ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... People think that the less mistakes a person makes, the better off they are, which isn t true at all. But people don t understand that that is the only way we learn. After a test, some teachers give the tests back to the students so they can see what they got wrong. When they see what they got wrong, they can figure out what they got wrong and they can focus on improving their knowledge on that topic. If students never see the test, they will never know what they got right or wrong so they might go on thinking something is right when it really isn t. My AP US history teacher, Mr. Tubbs makes all the students do a succinct test analysis after every test. The test analysis is supposed to consist of things you did to study for the previous test, reflection on your t4est scores, and study habits you ll improve or add so you can do better on the upcoming test. Admitting your mistakes is the first step to improvement. The next step is focusing on how to not make that mistake again. If we never made mistakes, we wouldn t be able to

When Christopher is kneeling beside the dog Wellington, he thinks to himself, I like dogs. You always know what a dog is thinking. It has four moods. Happy, sad, cross, and concentrating (Haddon 3 4). Christopher often has a difficult time connecting with humans because of his social drawbacks. Through male pomposity, the conventional lives of women, obsession with physical appearance, and the reality that beauty is diverse, both Woolf and Wolf explain the significance of our worlds economy. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In her speech, Woolf was asked to talk about women and fiction. She resolved that without money nor education, women would not be able to create fiction. Which is why, in the Elizabethan era, women did not generate any sort of poetry. Woolf pondered over this for a while, and hypothesized that Shakespeare had an ingenious sister, Judith. Judith had the imagination and ability to produce creative works just like her brother. However, Judith never had any education so she wasn t able to thrive. In short, the story goes like this: Judith s father arranges a marriage for her, Judith runs away from home and goes to the city, she tries to live out her dream and act, she gets laughed at, she has an affair, and then Judith kills herself at the crossroads. The fact that Judith kills herself at the crossroads has great symbolism. The crossroads represents choice. The choice is that one can go along with her potential and be who she wants to be, or she can go along with the flow. Even though this choice is existent, it is extremely improbable. As Woolf states, quot;it is unthinkable that any woman in Shakespeare s day had had Shakespeare s genius. • 39. Dr. Kotter, A Leading Advocate And Educator John Kotter, a leading advocate and educator in change initiatives, expresses two essential characteristics that must be present in any change initiative. First, any change that is considered to be useful and necessary must go through a multi step process that will transcend obstacles in its way. Second, it is essential that any change initiative must be lead by effective leadership(Kotter, 1996). However, any leader in a change initiate must reconcile the reality that a major component to mankind s instinctive nature is that people have an inherent need for predictability and order (Hogan, 2007). Leaders must, therefore, consider that initiatives may be experienced in ways that contradict this basic need leading to employee resistance (Bernerth, 2011). Considering such a potential obstacle, Kotter developed an eight stage change process to guide organizations through initiatives in ways that may retain employee stability and enable employees to maintain a sense of identity and understanding (Huy, 1999). John Kotter, however, is not a pioneer on the topic of change initiatives. Though Kotter s model is likely the most recognized model for organizational change initiatives, Kurt Lewinmay be the first to have presented the issue of social change initiatives as he developed a three step planned change approach. In this paper, Lewin s three step model will be utilized to consider a change initiative for a small group ministry in a Christian church in the Phoenix area.

This phenomenon has been described in many different ways, such as slave trade, forced migration and genocide. When people today think of slavery, many envision the form in which it existed in the United States before the American Civil War (1861 1865): one racially identifiable group owning and exploiting another. However, in other parts of the world, slaveryhas taken many different forms. In Africa, many societies recognized slaves merely as property, but others saw them as dependents whom, eventually might be integrated into the families of slave owners. Still other societies allowed slaves to attain positions of military or administrative power. Most often, both... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To increase production, a family had to invest in more labourers and thus increase their share of land. The simplest and quickest way to do this was to invest in slaves. To help service this demand, many early African societies conducted slave raids on distant villages, this was with the idea of having Africans work for Africans but ones of a different ethnic background, and after slavery was abolished by Europe domestic slavery grew, many slaves were made to work on clove plantations in Zanzibar for example. Women constituted the majority of early African slaves. In addition to agricultural work, female slaves carried out other economic functions, such as trading and cotton spinning and dyeing. They also performed domestic chores, such as preparing food, washing clothes, and cleaning. Powerful African men kept female slaves as wives or concubines, and in many societies these women stood as symbols of male wealth. Male slaves typically farmed and herded animals. Those who belonged to wealthy families and especially of ruling lineages of states also worked as porters and rowers, and learned crafts such as weaving, construction, and metalwork. Domestic slaves worked for the royal families, some male, and fewer female, slaves held positions of high status and trust within their societies. Character Changes By Ebenezer Scrooge Ebenezer Scrooge wasn t the most pleasant name to hear, the no good miser would do the most horrible things, like yelling at carolers, refusing to spend time with family, or even give to the needy. But now, the past, present and future are going to meet up to him and he is going to have to change, and he will have to see the fault in his actions. To start off, in many instances Scrooge showed what type of person he is, even at the beginning of the play his old friend Marley described him as a wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous, old sinner! (paragraph 4 page 236) Which doesn t seem like a way you would describe an old friend even if you are dead, unless the facts are undoubtedly true. However this isn t the only occurrence in the play makes us see how Scrooge should change his ways, we see Scrooge at the beginning sitting alone counting his money saying, They owe me money and I will collect. I will have them jailed, if I have to. (paragraph 6 page 236) This shows how Scrooge has no tolerance for anything, although this can be good in some cases, others it isn t the best way to treat people. Especially if you take such extreme measures very quickly, like sending someone to jail or example. But this is all about to change, because Scrooge needs to get better, he needs to learn how to treat people. One wintry night before Christmas he came face to face with his dead friend warning him of three ghosts on their way to greet him, the ghosts of Christmas past,

Many literary works have clear defined genderroles, Glaspell use s these gender roles to show the mistreatment and representation of the women in the play. This feminist analysis is shown throughout the play through many different aspects. Trifles is defined as something that does not have much importance or value. The county attorney is stating that since Mrs. Peters is married to the sheriff that she also holds a part of this title and that she would not do anything to undermine him. The county attorney states that given Mrs. Peter s marriage to the sheriff, she is to never undermine him because what she does reflects back on him. John Steinbeck s East of Eden Biblical Symbolism in East of Eden Throughout the novel East of Eden, Steinbeck uses many biblical references to illustrate clearly the conflict between the opposing forces of good and evil. Much of the plot of East of Eden is centered upon the two sets of brothers representing Cain and Abel. Both pairs are similar to Cain and Abel in the way they go about winning their fathers favors. All four give gifts to their fathers, and the fathers dismiss the gifts of Charles and Caleb, the Cain representations (Marks, Jay Lester. p.121). She is not only Eve, but she is Cain s wife and the serpent of Eden as well (Fonterose, Joseph. p.3380). Thus she is the representation of evil too. Cathy is evil to the point where she is not human. Her presence in the novel is meant to represent evil and all of its cruel intentions. All of her deeds are intended to show how far from the real world Cathy actually is (Howard, Levant. p. 245). Steinbeck compares Cathy to other prostitutes in Salinas Valley, the setting of Eastof Eden. She is described as the only whore who is incapable of being a good person. She is an inhuman being whose life revolves around cruelty and wrongdoing. She is solely satanic and destroys the innocence of man (Marks, Jay Lester. p. 126 127). John Steinbeck includes more of the tale of Genesis: 4 than is actually told in the bible. The basis of this is a Jewish story involving twin sisters of both Cain and Abel. The two disputed over Abel s twin whom Abel was to marry. Cain murdered Abel and wed the twin sister of his brother (Fonterose, Joseph. p.3380). The story differs also in that it is Abel who leaves his home instead of Cain. Abel found his Eden, represented by Salinas Valley, but lost it after fathering a second generation very similar to the first, Caleb representing Cain and Aron representing Abel (Fonterose, Joseph. p.3379). The story is changed by Steinbeck to illustrate

Impacts Of The Regional Trading Blocs Since the World War II, the creation of regional economic blocs has become an essential political remedy that gathers countries and nations rather than divide. Essentially, the creation of the economic regional blocs aims to minimize the obstacles between nations that share the same geographic border and to facilitate the circulations of goods and services. In fact, the regional trading blocs differ in terms of political structure and economic objectives, but the rapidity of trading goods and services within the different regions around the globe wouldn t be possible without establishing unified political and economic units. For example, the European Union (EU) as other regional blocs gathers different countries that share the same geographical borders and differ in cultures, languages, and political systems.
