Self Analysis Essays
Crafting an essay on the theme of introspective self-analysis poses a formidable challenge.
Delving into one's own psyche demands a level of honesty and vulnerability that can be
uncomfortable. It requires a deep understanding of one's thoughts, feelings, and experiences,
often necessitating introspective journeys that can be emotionally taxing.
The complexity lies not only in the introspective process but also in translating those insights into
coherent written form. Expressing nuanced self-reflections in a structured essay format requires
adeptness in articulation and organization. Additionally, there's the constant struggle to strike a
balance between self-disclosure and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
Moreover, the subjectivity inherent in self-analysis essays complicates the task further. What may
seem profound and revelatory to one individual might appear trivial or self-indulgent to another.
Navigating this subjective terrain while ensuring the essay resonates with a broader audience
adds another layer of difficulty.
Yet, despite these challenges, the process of grappling with one's identity and experiences can be
profoundly enriching. Through self-analysis, individuals gain deeper insights into themselves,
fostering personal growth and self-awareness.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of self-analysis demands navigating through layers
of complexity, from the emotional depths of introspection to the challenges of effective
expression. However, the rewards of such exploration are invaluable, offering opportunities for
personal insight and growth.

Sunflower Nutraceuticals is a privately owned company that is a wide distributor
providing numerous dietary supplements for customers, distributors, and retailers
(University of Phoenix, 2013). After starting the business in 2006 as an internet
based company, SNC expanded operations into retail outlets as well as introducing
some new private labeled products. Although SNC has the potential to grow into one
of the major nutraceutical distributors in the industry, the company still struggles to
break even. On more than one occasion SNC has been forced to exceed the

The company was offered an opportunity to partner with Golden Years
Nutraceuticals enabling them to reach a larger, more varied consumer base. From
2016 2018, this partnership reduced SNC s DSO figures because of more rapid
collection on web based sales. SNC also saw an approximate 10% increase in their
sales from 2016 2018. This was an ideal opportunity for SNC because it will allow
them to increase their sales with having little negative impact on working capital
balances.
III. Develop a Private Label Product Fountain of Youth Spas want SNC to develop
their own private label product. In doing this, SNC can expand their nutraceutical
products line and increase their sales and consumer base. Sales for 2016 through 218
will increase by approximately 5%, 4%, and 3%. Additionally, it will increase EBIT
margin by 2% while increasing SNC s DSO s and DSI. This will allow SNC to
increase their EBIT while slightly raising their accounts receivable figures. Selling the
private label product to Fountain of Youth Spas increased SNC s EBIT margin, only
modestly resulting in increased accounts receivable and inventory balances

Mass Media Such As Television, Newspapers, And Internet
Mass media such as television, newspapers, and internet are the center of the public s
communication and entertainment. Society relies heavily on mass media for their
news, education, entertainment, and their socialization. It can inspire, persuade, and
change the behavior of the audience depending on the objective. The public is often
misinformed and uninformed by media outlets to control the information that reaches
the public. As technology continues to grow, access to mass mediacontinues to grow
as well. Society has 24/7 access to news at all time whether it be on television,
computer, cell phone and so on. The constant access also means the public has
devices readily available to shine a light on things happening around them that...

With the media s ability to control the news, they play a significant role in politics.
Citizens rely on mass media to keep them informed on political issues so that they
can form an opinion about current events and vote accordingly in polls.
Unfortunately, according to Graber and Dunaway (2015), Like caricatures, media
stories often create skewed impressions because they cannot report most stories in
detail or full context. The lack of truth and details gives citizens the wrong idea of
what is happening and a false impression of people represented in the stories.
Therefore, the citizens remain uneducated and uninformed in regards to political
issues and politicians, so they are unable to make the decisions needed to better the
economy and the future. During the 2016 Presidential campaign between nominees,
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, there was a tremendous amount of news stories
spreading around the country. These stories had no evidence or facts to support their
claims. Both candidates were depicted in situations that were untrue. Many false
news sites published articles giving the public the impression that Hillary Clinton
was heading to prison following an e mail investigation by the Federal Bureau of
Investigation. Many fake news stories were shared about Donald Trump such as a
story stating that Pope Francis endorsed him. The stories continued
George Gascoigne s For That He Looked Not Upon Her
George Gascoigne s poem For That He Looked Not upon Her discusses the misery
of love by exploring speaker s internal conflict between the his romantic desires and
his fear of betrayal. After leaving a difficult relationship, the speaker refuses to look
his former partner in the eye even though he is still deeply attracted to her. He
justifies his action by explaining how his desire for her will only continue to bring
him distress. The speaker uses the poem s form and diction in order to establish a
dismal yet cautious tone in the poem. Furthermore, through various instances of
imagery, he reveals his fear of being deceived in the future. By employing these
literary devices, Gascoigne highlights the theme of human desire and how it
consequently leads to the speaker s emotional suffering. The poem s structure as a
sonnet allows the speaker s feelings of distrust and heartache to gradually manifest
themselves as the poem s plot progresses. Each quatrain develops and intensifies
the speaker s misery, giving the reader a deeper insight into his convoluted
emotions. In the first quatrain, the speaker advises his former partner to not be
surprised when she see[s] him holding [his] louring head so low (2). His refusal to
look at her not only highlights his unhappiness but also establishes the gloomy tone
of the poem. The speaker then uses the second and third quatrains to justify his
remoteness; he explains how he feels betrayed by her and reveals how his distrust
has led him
Speech On Multilingualism
MULTILINGUALISM AND MY CONTEXT
India is a country where over 1650 mother tongues belonging to five different
language families viz. Indo Aryan, Dravidian, Austro Asiatic, Tibeto Burman and,
Andamanese are spoken. India is such a landscape where we can find multilingual
environment everywhere.
Chhattisgarh and languages
I am a Bengali native speaker, presently residing in Chhattisgarh, where Chhattisgarhi,
Hindi, English Oriya and also many sub languages (so called Boli ) are used by the
people. In the context of Chhattisgarh we can also find multilingual environment in
school education system. In this state native speakers are also using Hindi language,

Multilingualism is easily defined as an occurrence regarding an individual or group of
speaker(s) who use(s) two or more languages, a community of speakers where two or
more language are used as oral or written form. Multilingualism basically arises to
communicate with speech communities. There are two type of multilingualism is
seen in our scenario: These two type of multilingualism are: A) Additive
multilingualism and B) Subtractive multilingualism.
Additive bi/multilingualism: Additive multilingualism enriches both the languages
by their usage; e.g. if a child cherishes/nourishes other languages side by side his
mother tongue too, then it is called additive bi/multilingualism.
Subtractive multilingualism: It refers to the gradual loss of the first language as the
second language dominates learner s functional space, in which case the speaker s
loyalty shifted towards acquired language; e.g. if a child acquired second language
and this language dominates upon his/her mother tongue and he/she priorities and
shifts loyalty to acquired language, then it is called subtractive multilingualism.

The Model Of A Health Care Delivery System
Abstract
Roemer s model of a health care delivery system shows the different necessary
elements for a system to be successful. As health needs are the input; the system
needs resources, organization of programs, economic support mechanisms, and
delivery of services to provide the health needs output (Roemer, p 33). Able 2 is an
organization that provides services to people with disabilities. They have many
resources, but perhaps not enough to meet the health needs of every consumer.
They have well organized programs, have economic support, and can deliver
services completely and holistically to produce health as the output of the client.
The most important implication that was found in analyzing Able 2 was the need
for increased resources as they are not able to meet the needs for every client in
need of its services. Ultimately though, Able 2 is an excellent organization that
provides an array of services for those people with disabilities.
Finance Mechanisms
Economic support mechanisms are one of the major components needed in a health
care delivery system (Roemer, p 33). Without income, an organization would fail.
Able 2 is a non profit organization (NPO) and a non government organization (NGO)
in the private sector. They have been tax exempt both by state and federal taxes since
1978. Under the umbrella of an NPO, its purpose must be charitable and all revenue,
after normal expenditures, must serve the public s interest (DeMartinis, 2005). In

Evolution of the European Council
Introduction
To fully appreciate the position of the European Council within the European Union
we first took a brief look at how the European Union came about. The European
project first started soon after the second world with the creation of the ECSC
(European Coal and Steel Community) to harmonise relations between the Nations of
Europe and to prevent any further conflicts of the scale of the wars that had preceded
its creation. The new spirit of cooperation aimed to bring about a new era of peace
and prosperity across Europe. The founding nations were Belgium, France, Germany,
Italy, Netherlands and Luxemburg. The first enlargement came in 1973 when Ireland,
Denmark and the United Kingdom joined the EU. Since then a further 18 ... Show

Step 4 came in the shape of the Amsterdam Treaty which reaffirmed the powers and
responsibilities given to the Council within the Maastricht Treaty. It then extended
these powers and responsibilities with regards to the EMU and CFSP.
The Nice Treaty was step 5 wherein it gave the Council the power to nominate the
person to be put forward for the position of President of the European Commission.
The final and sixth step came in the form of the Lisbon Treaty when the European
Council was established as a fully fledged institution of the European Union. The
Lisbon Treaty stated The European Council consists of the Heads of State and
Government of the Member States and is an official institution of the Union (Article
I 21) (Europa.eu, 2012). This treaty changed the structure of membership of the
European Council. Before the Lisbon treaty the membership was a two tiered system.
The first tier consisted of the heads of state or government of the member states and
the president of the commission. The second tier consisted of the foreign ministers of
each member state and one other member of the commission. Before the Lisbon
treaty only two members per delegation were permitted to attend meetings of the
council. This was to promote a more relaxed and informal atmosphere than that in
council of ministers. Since the Lisbon treaty there is just one tier of membership
consisting of heads of state, the European
The Health Of A Health Care System
A health care system is a framework of interrelated, interacting, and interdependent
descriptions of human development in a given country, region, or community. This
system of human development functions as an organized measure to promote and
provide treatment in which individuals reach their highest attainable level of
physical, mental, and social well being. All health care systems are grounded in the
concept that genetic and biological factors must be taken into account to understand
the problems and behaviors of a specific population. The interconnected factors that
determine an individual s health status includes personal features, social status,
culture, environment, educational attainment, health behaviors, childhood
development, access to care, and government policy. International collaboration of
ideas on the progression of transnational health is greatly endorsed for the benefit of
complete global health care. Health care has social, governmental, and financial
implications that affect all members of the health care system and in countries within
the Central American region specially, citizens have fallen victim to health disparities
that have resulted from long term neglect of the underlying factors that perpetuate
this issue. It is imperative for children to develop with healthy nutrition during their
first five years of life in order to sustain a healthy well being. When a child
experiences stunted growth, they often have difficulties learning and
What Does The Macaroons Represent In A Doll s House
A Doll s House by Henrik Ibsen s is a novel based on the relationship of spouse,
Nora and Torvald. In this drama Ibsen explores various aspects of symbolism. He
uses this on purpose to reveal the characters personalities. A Dolls House
symbolizes that everyone living in home are similar to dolls. Torvald is not so
family oriented and focuses more on himself than the arising problems in his
home. Nora is more of a toy for Torvald; she is never the one to be taken serious
and this results in the downfall of the play. A deeper look into the symbolism in A
Dolls House allows the audience to fully interoperate the meaning behind the most
important points in the story. The first symbolic representation is presented in act
one are Macaroons. Nora carries a little bag of macaroons that she has been
nibbling on and apparently she has not touched one. Nora s obsession with
macaroons demonstrates her childish nature. In addition, it represents a struggle in
her marriage to keep him happy while not feeding into her inner desires. Nora was
given macaroons by Mrs. Linde but then later denies being given any. She later ask if
the macaroon can be served at dinner after she finishes her tarantella dance.... Show

She informs Helmer that her life depends on it. Originally the dance is performed
by someone who has been bitten by a poisonous spider. Torvald is similar to the
poisonous spider. She dances to set herself free from his real nature. After the
dance is over she now has a better outlook on her life. Nora changes her dress and is
no longer hiding who she really is any longer. Overall, it shows the transformation
into the person she needs to become to better herself and not for her husband. Nora
becomes more independent at this point in the
Exchange Rate Is The Price Of A Nation s Currency
Exchange Rate
The exchange rate is the price of a nation s currency in terms of another currency.
The domestic currency and the foreign currency are the two components of an
exchange rate. In a direct quotation, the price of the foreign currency is expressed in
terms of the domestic currency and the vise versa is the indirect currency. Most
exchange rates use the US dollar as their base currency and other currencies as the
counter currency. There a few exceptions, the Euro and commonwealth currencies
such as the Australian dollar, the British pound and the New Zealand dollar

company B $10,000 to produce similar automobiles in the US. The cost for both

Greek And Modern Theatre In Oedipus Rex By Sophocles
For this play report, I read Oedipus Rex by Sophocles. The thing I most took away
from this show was the differences and similarities in theatre between when it was
written, circa 441 b.c.e, and now. Ancient Greek theatre is obviously very different
from the theatre we perform today in many respects. Particularly, there were many
performance elements that were very different and deemed unacceptable, such as
female actors, within ancient Greek theatre; I would be fascinated to see how modern
day adaptations went with the production. Additionally, the use of the chorus
shows a need for less nuance than the theatre we use today, with a lot more explicit
exposition; this is something that is used mainly as a joke or a parody in modern
theatre. Finally, the plot itself is so crazy, yet there are a lot of parallels between it
and popular books, theatre and other media today. Ultimately, this play was a really
interesting look back in time as to what theatre was like thousands of years ago, and
finding similarities and differences between now and then was a really enriching
experience.
There were a lot of differences between ancient Greek and modern theatre. For
instance, with some basic knowledge of ancient Greek plays, I knew going into
reading this that there were no female actors performing plays like Oedipus back
when it was first written and performed. Yet, contrary to what I would have thought,
writers still wrote in many female characters such as Jocasta, Oedipus s
Taking a Look at Endometriosis
Endometriosis is a common disease that effects more than five million women in
the United States per year. Any woman within childbearing age is at risk for this
disease, but it is more common in women in their 30s and 40s. There are a number
of theories that suggest the cause of the disease, but none of the theories have been
proven. With no certainty on what causes the disease, there is also no cure for it
however the symptoms of the disease can be treated.[1] Endometriosis derives it
name from the inside lining of the uterus, which is known as the endometrium. The
disease occurs when the endometrium begins to grow in regions outside the uterus.
The most common areas affected are the ovaries, the fallopian tubes, the pelvic cavity
and the outer surface of the uterus, but the disease is not restricted to these areas. In
rare cases it has even been found in the lungs and the brain. Normally, the
endometrium breaks down and is removed from the uterus via the vagina through the
menstrual period. With endometriosis, the displaced endometrium degenerates but it
has no means of exit: the endometrial tissue sheds into the body and often causes
irritation, inflammation and scar tissue. [1,2] The causes of endometriosis are still
unknown, but several possible theories have been developed. Endometriosis appears
to have a familial component, caused by certain genes. It could also likely to be
caused by a compromised immune system. Another theory states that over production

Theme Between Frankenstein And Jekyll And Hyde
The growth of scientific knowledge in the 1800s had a major impact on the arts in
general, particularly literature, with the emergence of a trend for writers to explore
the concept and creation of identity, relating it to the constraints of society.
Frankenstein is shown to create the Creature due to his obsession with knowledge.
Similarly, Jekyll creates Hyde due to scientific interest. DantГЁs is shown to create
his identities, not due to the growth of science, but in order to become part of the
development of culture in France after the events of the Revolutionary Wars. Creators
are shown to have brought their creations into existence due to the progressions of
society and culture, which displays the construction of new identities as an almost...

He is trapped by the guilt that he feels over William s death, Justine s execution,
and the creation of the Creature. Whilst Jekyll and Frankenstein are trapped in the
idea of their creations, Dumas presents DantГЁs as unable to act outside his own
limits, becoming trapped by his own creation. The creation of Monte Cristo traps
DantГЁs by forcing him to constantly adopt a different persona, although he
appears less constrained by this than he was as DantГЁs: the development of the
Count places him in a higher social standing than before, which allows him to act
above the constraints of society. The novel s structure therefore does not create the
idea that DantГЁs is trapped he appears to be liberated in his higher role. Despite
this, his time in the Chateau d If causes him to become trapped by the idea of
getting revenge. McKee states that people who are more vengeful are motivated by
power... and the desire for status, in spite of the constraints of society, which fits with
DantГЁs character after his time in prison. He becomes stuck in the idea of getting
revenge and is unable to escape this once his plot has begun. Despite this, and unlike
Frankenstein and Jekyll, DantГЁs is able to act outside the constraints of

Gulliver s Travels
INTRODUCTION
Gulliver s Travels (1726, amended 1735), officially Travels into Several Remote
Nations of the World, in Four Parts. By Lemuel Gulliver, is a novel by Irish writer
and clergyman Jonathan Swift .This novel is considered both a satire on human
nature and a parody of the fictional travelogues tales literary sub genre. It is Swift s
best known full length work, and a classic of English literature.
The book became tremendously popular as soon as it was published. (John Gay said
in a 1726 letter to Swift that it is universally read, from the cabinet council to the
nursery ); since then, it has never been out of print.

When he is told that the time has come for him to leave the island, Gulliver faints
from grief. Upon returning to England, Gulliver feels disgusted about other humans,
including his own family.
Positive vs Negetive Side
In these fantastic tales, Swift satirizes the political events in England and Ireland
in his day, as well as English values and institutions. He ridicules academics,
scientists, and Enlightenment thinkers who value rationalism above all else, and
finally, he targets the human condition itself.Like all of Swift s works, Gulliver s
Travels was originally published without Swift s name on it because he feared
government persecution. His criticisms of people and institutions are often
scathing, and some observers believe he was a misanthrope (one who hates
mankind). Other critics have suggested that while Swift criticized humans and
their vanity and folly, he believed that people are capable of behaving better than
they do and hoped his works would convince people to reconsider their behavior.
Swift himself claimed he wrote Gulliver s Travels to vex the world rather than
divert it. He succeeded in that aim, as the book is considered one of the best
examples of satire ever written. Swift s sharp observations about the corruption of
people and their institutions still ring true today, almost three hundred years after the
book was first published.
My Personal Opinion

2. What is the difference between interdisciplinary teams and Interprofessional teams?
The difference between interdisciplinary teams and Interprofessional teams is that
interdisciplinary team perform their work in a collaborative fashion. Each member of
the team, while providing the group with the knowledge and skills of his or her
disciplinary perspective, also strives to incorporate that perspective with those of
others to create solutions to health care problems that transcend conventional,

essential to collaboration and interaction. However, Interprofessional teams has to do
with learning together as a team. Their collaboration interaction is characterized by
the integration as well as modification of different professions. By having basic
knowledge and skills related to your own profession you can share your knowledge

Water For Elephants, By Sara Gruen
Throughout time, distinguished authors have succeeded in the goal of portraying
the human journey. There has been an innumerable amount of literature published
over the years; however what separates the extraordinary books from the appalling
books, is the author s ability to visually and emotionally move their readers. In
order to establish a connection to the audience, an author must understand human
experience. In Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, two narratives are used, one of
an older Jacob, and one of a younger Jacob. This choice is made by the author to
help the reader fully comprehend the circle of life. Everyone succumbs to age
sooner or later, and while many books conclude with the narrator finding
contentment at an early age, this is not the case in reality. In the real world, most
struggle to achieve fulfillment, by creating an elderly Jacob, in this case it does not
necessarily mean that a live has been fulfilled. The old aged are sometimes just as
clueless as the young. Sara Gruen discloses that the old are not very different from
the young; in many cases the old are still playing the game against the formidable
opponent of life.
We are introduced to an eager and naГЇve Jacob in the initial stages of the novel.
However, Jacob is introduced to the cruelties of the world all too suddenly, when the
death of his parents is abruptly thrust upon him. It states, I snap out of my stupor.
There are people on that train. It matters not a whit where it s going because
A Doll s House Metaphor
The Use and Effect of Symbolism and Extended Metaphor in Ibsen s A Doll s
House In A Doll s House, Ibsen makes frequent use of symbolism and extended
metaphor to convey ideas and develop motifs. The use of extended metaphor and
symbolism is present throughout the play, including the title. Ibsen makes the
metaphor of Nora as a doll in the play through dialogue and narration. The main
symbols Ibsen used are the Christmas tree, the macaroons, the tarantella dance, and
Nora s costume.
The title of the play, A Doll s House, conjures to mind the image of a toy set with
dolls, where the children control how the dolls act. In the play, Ibsen draws the
parallel to that image by describing Nora as a doll controlled by Torvald through
what Torvald ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The macaroons again represent control. Torvald doesn t want Nora having them,
but Nora does anyway. This represents how Nora wants authority of her life and
even if it is a simple thing like eating macaroons when she wants to, she will take
that sovereignty. However, when Torvald asks her, she lies and says she hasn t
eaten any. This shows how even though she is taking a tiny bit of power, she won t
admit to Torvald she has or wants control. She makes him believe that he is still in
command over her. Even when Dr. Rank asks her about the Macaroons she doesn t
take responsibility for them. This clearly shows how she wants command but
doesn t want to risk losing control over the only thing she has control over The last
mention of macaroons comes later in the play, just before Act III, at the
extravagant dinner party. Nora calls for macaroons publicly, and Torvald doesn t
like her being rebellious. Ibsen wrapped up the symbolism of the macaroons by
having Nora express her want for freedom from Torvald at the dinner. The
Christmas tree is only used as a symbol early in the play, but used very well. It very
clearly represents Nora and Torvald s house. At the opening of the play, the
Christmas tree is the first object seen. It is being brought in and hidden from the
children. Nora says how the children can t see it until it is

Modern State Of The People s Republic Of China
Since 1949, the developed intrusive modern state of the People s Republic of China
or PRC has increasingly incorporated rule from Beijing over the autonomous region
of Xinjiang, an area that used to be populated with over 95% Muslim Turkic
speaking residents known as the Uyghurs . Though the Uyghurs speak and practice
their own language and culture, they are politically citizens of the PRC and the use
of terms such as Han and Uyghur people, are only used as constructions to generalize
groups that are contradictory. With migration of Han Chineseflowing into this area
and conductive extraction of rich natural resources, the state of Xinjiang has become
a transnational bridge to bring in both globalization and diversity to the Uyghur...

The PRC has recurrently emphasized the importance of interethnic integration of the
Uyghurs into a Han dominated society. Regardless, the Uyghurs see this as otherwise
a way of being oppressed and undermined by the central government. Compared to the
Muslims that are living in eastern and central China, the Uyghurs face more
restrictions on their religious expression and way of life (Poh) such as praying in
schools, women being criticized on wearing headscarves, and even studying the Qur
an in Arabic is controlled. Furthermore, since more Han Chinese have been moving
into the Xinjiang area, economic contingencies as well as the dominant use of Han
Chinese has been gradually phased out in most educational institutions in Xinjiang
(Poh). While Beijing has incessantly asserted that the developments made to the area
has significantly improved the Uyghur s livelihood, the minority group cannot help
but to still resonate the deep seated bitterness stemmed from decades worth of
discrimination, perceived religious and cultural suppression, and economic disparities
(Poh). These increasing ethnic tensions have resulted in significant inter ethnic
violence in Xinjiang such as the 2009 riot in Urumqi where fights against the
Uyghurs and the Han Chinese police force broke out all from protesting the equality
for Uyghur working institution. Another deliberate event which the police have been
criticizing it as a terrorist attack is the

English 10 Honors Pride and Prejudice: Jane Austen 1. It is a truth universally
acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in wants
of a wife Chapter 1 | During the time period that this book takes place, this quote
could be proven true. At this time, there were arranged marriages based on a mans
place in society and his fortune. Today, people get married because they are in love.
Some people may marry others based on their financial standings but there are many
wealthy people, my aunt for example, who have no desire to rush into marriage. | 2.

him as a gentleman in love who would never do something to ruin that, but he

this doesn t seem right or fair to Jane. | 10. Mrs. Bennet | I found Mrs. Bennet to be
annoying throughout this book. Her only concern was for all five of her
daughters to get married, since they have no money. The importance of women
being married during this time was shown through her character. | 11. During a

Active Voice Vs. Passive Voice
Why is it important to write in an Active Voice vs. Passive Voice ?
I believe active voice is important because it allows us to write a lower grade level
that our intended audiences can understand and relate to. Active voice creates clear
action it is less wordy, which is direct to the reader or to the audience. Also, the writer
uses a common and present language to connect with the readers so they can better
understand the written material. On the other hand, passive voice is indirect and has
weak verbs and may use present progressives which can be very confusing to the
reader. Passive voice is used when the writer does not know the audience. However,
in the health care field, it is important that you know your audiences not by personally,

Operation Forager Essay Questions
Operation Forager The Marines has Landed The Beginning of the End of World
War II (The Pacific War) Introduction: President of the United States of America
Franklin Delano Roosevelt, seeing the devastation that was poised after the naval
and air forces attack by the Japanese Empire against the US and hearing the clamor
of the American people for vengeance, has encouraged the US to continuously
strengthen its armed forces and train soldiers for the war against Japan. What
followed is the passing by the US Congress of a formal declaration of war against
Japan, which eventually allow US to officially enter into what is known as World
War II. In 1943, US started its plan of launching its offensive against Japan in the
Pacific Islands during the Quadrant Conference in Quebec. The intention was to
occupy the islands of Saipan, Guam and Tinian from Japanese control. Thus, in June
of 1944 the US launched an operation was then termed as the Operation Forager with
Admiral Chester Nimitz of the Pacific Fleet as the overall campaign commander. The
Operation Forager intended to attack Marianas through the Central Pacific with
Saipan as the first target then Guam and Tinian to be assaulted thereafter.... Show

This resulted to the production of high speed fighters and long range strategic
bombers. Apart from this, the US also invested on doctrines and air to air combat
training to its fighter pilots. This has brought the US an edge over Japan particularly
on air combat since the latter experienced attrition on the number of its seasoned
pilots brought about by the war and its new recruit naval aviators underwent training
for only a couple of months and also there has been insufficiency of fuel. Thus, each
American aircraft can be considered to possess significantly more combat value and
agility than each of the Japanese
Ethics Of Accounting Ethics
What are Accounting Ethics?
Accounting Ethics are a study of ethical values and verdicts relevant to the
accounting world. It is an example of professional ethics.
Ethics are instructed in bookkeeping courses at advanced education organizations and
by organizations giving training to Accountants and Auditors. Because of the
important role of accounting in the corporate world and increase in corporate
scandals, consideration has been attracted to ethical principles acknowledged inside
the accounting world. These scandals are damaging the integrity of the accounting
profession. To battle this and avoid deceitful practices in accounting, different
bookkeeping associations and governments have created controls and solutions for
enhanced Ethics among the bookkeeping calling.
Luca Pacioli wrote on ethics in 1494. Ethical guidelines have from that point forward
been produced through government groups, associations, and free organizations.
These different groups have driven accountants to take after a few codes of ethics to
play out their obligations in an expert workplace. Accountants must comply with the

They need to contemplate how to best apply the ethics even in situations where
following the ethics could lead to the company being shut down.
The responsibility of accountants is crucial. Accountants serve as financial reporters
and intermediaries in the capital markets and owe their primary obligation to the
public interest. They provide significant information in economic decision making to
investors, managers and others. If the accountants will not follow the ethical
guidelines, then this could prove to be hazardous for the society and capital market
The Trail of Socrates and the development of Western...
THESIS STATEMENT Socrates was accused of corrupting the youth of Athens and

what he believed was right.
PURPOSE STATEMENT By conducting research and examining various sources,
The trail of Socrates proved to be an important part in history, impacting the
development of Western Philosophy and allowing the beliefs of Socrates to live on to
this day.
INTRODUCTION The death of Socrates has had a huge and almost continuous
impact on western culture (Wilson 1). Socrates life, trial, and death are all important

Throughout his entire life, to the moment he died, he did his best to help the people
around him. He wanted them to think and make correct moral decisions. Athens, one
of the world s earliest democracies, raised Socrates, educated him and finally
sentenced him to death, having found him guilty of religious unorthodoxy and
corrupting the young (Wilson 2). Socrates was born in Alopece, a district of ancient
Athens. He was born of Sophroniscus and Phaenarete. He married Xanthippe and
they had three children. We do not have any writing that Socrates wrote himself.
Therefore, our major sources for Socrates are Plato, Xenophan, and Aristophanes.
Plato was a student of Socrates. However, not everything he wrote about Socrates
can be taken literally. Plato used Socrates as a figure to voice different viewpoints.
Everything Plato said about Socrates may not be completely true. Xenophan defended
the accusations that were being held against Socrates. In the Apology, he describes
Socrates mindset. This gives us an understanding of how Socrates stood up for his
beliefs to the point where it cost him his life. Aristophanes wrote a play entitled The
Clouds. Socrates was a character in this fictional comedy. The Clouds portrays
Socrates as corrupting the youth of Athens and not properly venerating the gods of
Athens. Socrates did not take offense to this, as comedies are meant just as
entertainment.

And that is a good thing, because Leisure Suit Larry is a hilarious game. Al Lowe has

Reinforcement In Corrections
There are several departments that come to mind when thinking about corrections
such as, the police, the court system and jail or prison facilities. After a crime has
been committed, I typically think about the subsequent police detainment of the
offender. Proceeding with the arrest, I think about the trial in court that may or may
not be given based on the allegation. Based upon the verdict, the criminal is either
innocent or is sentenced to jail or prison.
I disagree with the argument that putting criminals in prison reduces crime because of
the evidence of negative reinforcement. In a society that typically focuses on
negativity, combating criminal activity becomes the main concern for law
enforcement. Therefore, ideologies of punitive ... Show more content on

The Impact Of Louis XIV On France
King Louis XIV and Jean Baptiste Colbert had an important historical impact on
France s economy. Colbert become Finance Minister to Louis XIV in 1665. In the
years before Colbert, the previous minister of finance Mazarin had France in a
turmoil of financial neglect and corruption. Over his lifetime as finance minister,
Colbert brought in new measures with Louis XIV to re establish France as a place
of expanding industry and prosperity. Louis XIV was an absolute monarch. After
the death of Mazarin, Louis XIV, expressed his desire to be the sole ruler of France
and his own prime minister. It is now time that I govern them myself. You
[secretaries and ministers of state] will assist me with your counsels when I ask for
them. I request and order you to seal no orders except by my command, ... I order
you not to sign anything, not even a passport ... without my command. King Louis
XIV 1661 (Spielvogel, 1991, p. 523) When Louis began his absolute rule, he found
that years of warfare had ruined the people s farms and houses. The justice systems
were corrupted and irregular. Theft and murder were incredibly high all over
France. Industry and trade were at a standstill and France was virtually bankrupt
(Richardson, 1973, p. 55) . Before his death Mazarin recommended Colbert to Louis
XIV. Colbert had the interests of France at heart and wanted France to be the best
economic power of Europe. (Rothbard, 1995, p. 246) Unfortunately, Nicolas Fouquet,
the new financier, stood in the
The Quality Of Air Pollution
Statistics indicate that more than four people in five who live in urban areas are
negatively affected regarding the standard of the quality of air that the World
Health Organization recommends as safe for breathing by human beings (WHO,
2016). These means that roughly all urban regions of the world are affected.
However, there are those that suffer the most and these include the low income
cities especially found in the developing countries. WHO analytics covers more
than 3000 cities in 103 countries spread across the world (WHO, 2016). The figures
how that while 56% of cities in high income cities do not meet the standards set by
World Health Organization, the percentage shoots to 98% when looking at the
medium and low income cities that do not meet the standards (WHO, 2016). From
the map produced to indicate the implication of their statistics, it confirms that 92%
of the people s population in the world is breathing polluted air.
The damage that results from air pollution can never be overstated. There are health
problems like the risks of cardiac diseases, acute and chronic respiratory diseases
like asthma, lung cancer and so forth (Aryes, Maynard, Richards, 2006). Corrosion
dud to formation of acid rain, global warming and poor visibility reduces are but
some of other issues mentioned randomly. More than two million deaths are linked to
air quality. The worrying observation from analyst has been that there have been

Pamela Anderson Ad Analysis
The Non Profit Association People for the Ethnic Treatment of Animals, otherwise
known as PETA, released an ad in 2010 where Pamela Anderson was dressed in a
bikini and looked as if she had been marked by a butcher to be slaughtered and to
have several of her body parts cut off for the consumption of meat ( All animals... ).
In the ad, Pamela Andersonis looking very sexy and she is in a very provocative
sitting position and is tagged as if she were an animalin various areas of her body
like her breast, legs, shoulders, ribs, among other parts. The message PETA was
trying to get across was that people and animals have the same parts and they were
trying to persuade the public to go vegetarian. The PETA ad was banned in several
countries like Canada for being too provocative and over sexualized. This isn t the
first time the association is caught in this type of situation, many of its ads like the

trying to shine the light on the problems that animals suffer because of humans, the
type of attention that they get tends to be negative. Instead of getting the animalsthe

Pamela Anderson Ad was said to be offensive and very controversial. PETA is known

The Last Night Of Ballyhoo Essay
The Last Night of Ballyhoo is play written by Alfred Uhry, the plays first
performance was set in Atlanta in 1996. The purpose of this play was sparked
from Uhry s childhood and the stories he had listened to growing up in a southern
Jewish family. There were Jews that didn t want to be Jews, When I was growing
up, they had Christmas trees and Easter egg hunts, and I don t exactly know why.
Uhry claimed. The story took place in the 1930s which is the same time the great
depression and World War II occurred. The Last Night of Ballyhoo uses different
lights, sounds, costumes, and sets to capture the essence of life in a southern Jewish
household with comedic and romantic variables.
Late Night of Ballyhoo focuses on a southern Jewish family in the 1930s that is
struggling to fit into to the majority Protestant society of Atlanta, Georgia. The play
is dated around the time when Hitler is persecuting Jews in Germany, which sets a
dark undertone of crisis of identity that does not go unnoticed. The Freitag family
consists of Lala, a girl in her 20s with a childish personality who is the daughter of
Boo, a pretentious woman concerned with her family s image and perception in
society. There is uncle Adolf, the husband of Aunt Reba, and then Lala s cousins
Sunny. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The men in the play wore suits throughout most of the play as a sign of formality
and etiquette. In the 1930s men would wear suits that were a bit loose fitting and
their ties would be thick. In modern days most men wear slim fit suits and skinny
ties. The women s dresses were long and carried the grace and style of 1930s
dresses. They did not have the cuts and lengths that we are accustomed to wearing in
today s fashion. The shoes worn by the women were another indication of the era
they were being portrayed in. The short, wide heels, while not uncommon today were
the standard shoes women of that era would

However, since all laptop prices have been falling at a steady rate in recent years, if
you shop around you can find a half decent gaming laptop at a reasonable price.
Here we re still talking about $1500 to $2500 for a good quality gaming laptop.

The Human Resource Management Policies
Human Resource Management Policies
Each school district has human resource policies in place to help ensure a safe and
smooth running workplace. The policies serve to provide for the needs of the
diverse workforce. It is important as an educational leader to know your school s
policies and how they are differentiated to meet the needs of each subgroup in the
workforce and thereby increase student achievement. Your organization s systems for
engaging, developing, and assessing the engagement of your work force, with the aim
of enabling and encouraging all members of your workforce to contribute effectively
and to the best of their ability. These systems are intended to foster student
achievement and high performance, to address your core competencies, and to
contribute to the accomplishment of your action plans and to organizational
sustainability (Baldrige National Quality Program, 2007, p. 49)
Human Resource Management Policies
The following information about human resource management policies that are being
used to improve the workforce efficiency in this small rural school was gleaned from
an interview with Andrea Williams, principal of Theresa Bunker Elementary School.
The majority of the policies we discussed come from the district human resources
department, or the negotiated master contract that is negotiated by our local teacher
union. Many of these policies are the same for all employees in the workforce no
matter the group, such as certified or classified.
The Death Of A Gun
On Memorial Day in 2012, a boy in Ohio, only three years old, comes across a gun
his father had hidden between the couch and shoots himself in his eye. In North
Carolina, while a mother is cleaning, interrupted by an abrupt sound of a gunshot,
she rushes into the living room, and discovers that her three year old son had shot
her boyfriend s three year old daughter. Then, in Houston, a group of friends come
across a pistol in a closet while trying to find some money for snacks, the fifteen
year old boy carrying the pistol then accidentally shoots another boy, who was only
eleven years old. Unfortunately, these cases happen all too often and it does not just
affect minors who are young children, but also those in their adolescence. In many
incidents like these, parents who fail to properly store their firearms, could have more
than likely prevented a death or injury of another minor. According to the Second
Amendment, citizens have the right to own a gun, however those who have failed to
conceal their guns properly from a minor has caused it to become easily accessible,
and in turn that minor can put themselves or those around him/her at risk; therefore,
it should be enacted nationwide that adults who neglect to hide firearms in their
homes accordingly, should be charged with criminal negligence.
Key Concepts
In order to sense why and how it is possible for minors to gain access to firearms, it
needs to be understood that there is an excessive amount of firearms that
Against School Vouchers
School vouchers are a waste of public dollars in private school because as economist
Milton Friedman said , it divides support for all student. In this essay, it will be
explaining three things of why school vouchers shouldn t continue to go on in private
schools. Those three things are one that vouchers pull money meant for public
schools to tuition run schoolinstead of improving school that need it. Second, it s
the parents responsibility to pay for their child to stay in school. Third, it takes
away from the schools budget to do things for the school as to pay for lunch, trips,
and more. My position in this essay is going against school vouchers. Vouchers house
existed on some level for 140 years and never widely accepted or viewed as... Show

So that s why I think school vouchers shouldn t be running in any private school
anymore. Because sooner or later the private schools won t be able to support
every student they have in their school because of how much money they re
paying to keep the students on that school. And it s like the parents aren t even
supporting their child at the school that they signed their child up for. That doesn t
make any sense because that s like you sign your child up for something that cost a
lot of money and the company that supports that program has to pay for your child
to stay in that program. But the parents don t do anything. And who knows when
there will be a time when something important breaks, or something to be payed for,
but the school s budget is low because of the payments they made for all of the
students. This also leads to how many kids are in a school because it s not there s
going to be at least 80 kids in one school. Because there s going to be a lot more
than that. And guess what, the school has to pay for them to stay in school. Why
should schools have to pay for your child when that s the parent s responsibility. If
the parents can t afford it, then they need to send them to a public school so they don
t have to pay a

Self Analysis Essays.pdf

  • 1. Self Analysis Essays Crafting an essay on the theme of introspective self-analysis poses a formidable challenge. Delving into one's own psyche demands a level of honesty and vulnerability that can be uncomfortable. It requires a deep understanding of one's thoughts, feelings, and experiences, often necessitating introspective journeys that can be emotionally taxing. The complexity lies not only in the introspective process but also in translating those insights into coherent written form. Expressing nuanced self-reflections in a structured essay format requires adeptness in articulation and organization. Additionally, there's the constant struggle to strike a balance between self-disclosure and maintaining appropriate boundaries. Moreover, the subjectivity inherent in self-analysis essays complicates the task further. What may seem profound and revelatory to one individual might appear trivial or self-indulgent to another. Navigating this subjective terrain while ensuring the essay resonates with a broader audience adds another layer of difficulty. Yet, despite these challenges, the process of grappling with one's identity and experiences can be profoundly enriching. Through self-analysis, individuals gain deeper insights into themselves, fostering personal growth and self-awareness. In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of self-analysis demands navigating through layers of complexity, from the emotional depths of introspection to the challenges of effective expression. However, the rewards of such exploration are invaluable, offering opportunities for personal insight and growth. Similar essays and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net. After starting the business in 2006 as an internet based company, SNC expanded operations into retail outlets as well as introducing some new private labeled products. Although SNC has the potential to grow into one of the major nutraceutical distributors in the industry, the company still struggles to break even. The company was offered an opportunity to partner with Golden Years Nutraceuticals enabling them to reach a larger, more varied consumer base. From 2016 2018, this partnership reduced SNC s DSO figures because of more rapid collection on web based sales. SNC also saw an approximate 10% increase in their sales from 2016 2018. This was an ideal opportunity for SNC because it will allow them to increase their sales with having little negative impact on working capital balances. III. Develop a Private Label Product Fountain of Youth Spas want SNC to develop their own private label product. In doing this, SNC can expand their nutraceutical products line and increase their sales and consumer base. Sales for 2016 through 218 will increase by approximately 5%, 4%, and 3%. Additionally, it will increase EBIT margin by 2% while increasing SNC s DSO s and DSI. This will allow SNC to increase their EBIT while slightly raising their accounts receivable figures. Selling the private label product to Fountain of Youth Spas increased SNC s EBIT margin, only modestly resulting in increased accounts receivable and inventory balances (University of Phoenix, 2013, Synopsis). Phase 3 of SNC s Simulation (Years 2019 2021) During phase three of SNC s simulation, there were three opportunities for SNC to consider. Those opportunities include: I. • 3. Mass Media Such As Television, Newspapers, And Internet Mass media such as television, newspapers, and internet are the center of the public s communication and entertainment. Society relies heavily on mass media for their news, education, entertainment, and their socialization. It can inspire, persuade, and change the behavior of the audience depending on the objective. The public is often misinformed and uninformed by media outlets to control the information that reaches the public. As technology continues to grow, access to mass mediacontinues to grow as well. With the media s ability to control the news, they play a significant role in politics. Citizens rely on mass media to keep them informed on political issues so that they can form an opinion about current events and vote accordingly in polls. Unfortunately, according to Graber and Dunaway (2015), Like caricatures, media stories often create skewed impressions because they cannot report most stories in detail or full context. The lack of truth and details gives citizens the wrong idea of what is happening and a false impression of people represented in the stories. Therefore, the citizens remain uneducated and uninformed in regards to political issues and politicians, so they are unable to make the decisions needed to better the economy and the future. During the 2016 Presidential campaign between nominees, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, there was a tremendous amount of news stories spreading around the country. These stories had no evidence or facts to support their claims. Both candidates were depicted in situations that were untrue. Many false news sites published articles giving the public the impression that Hillary Clinton was heading to prison following an e mail investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Many fake news stories were shared about Donald Trump such as a story stating that Pope Francis endorsed him. The stories continued
  • 4. George Gascoigne s For That He Looked Not Upon Her George Gascoigne s poem For That He Looked Not upon Her discusses the misery of love by exploring speaker s internal conflict between the his romantic desires and his fear of betrayal. After leaving a difficult relationship, the speaker refuses to look his former partner in the eye even though he is still deeply attracted to her. He justifies his action by explaining how his desire for her will only continue to bring him distress. The speaker uses the poem s form and diction in order to establish a dismal yet cautious tone in the poem. Furthermore, through various instances of imagery, he reveals his fear of being deceived in the future. By employing these literary devices, Gascoigne highlights the theme of human desire and how it consequently leads to the speaker s emotional suffering. The poem s structure as a sonnet allows the speaker s feelings of distrust and heartache to gradually manifest themselves as the poem s plot progresses. Each quatrain develops and intensifies the speaker s misery, giving the reader a deeper insight into his convoluted emotions. • 6. The Model Of A Health Care Delivery System Abstract Roemer s model of a health care delivery system shows the different necessary elements for a system to be successful. As health needs are the input; the system needs resources, organization of programs, economic support mechanisms, and delivery of services to provide the health needs output (Roemer, p 33). Able 2 is an organization that provides services to people with disabilities. They have many resources, but perhaps not enough to meet the health needs of every consumer. They have well organized programs, have economic support, and can deliver services completely and holistically to produce health as the output of the client. The most important implication that was found in analyzing Able 2 was the need for increased resources as they are not able to meet the needs for every client in need of its services. Ultimately though, Able 2 is an excellent organization that provides an array of services for those people with disabilities. Finance Mechanisms Economic support mechanisms are one of the major components needed in a health care delivery system (Roemer, p 33). Without income, an organization would fail. Able 2 is a non profit organization (NPO) and a non government organization (NGO) in the private sector. They have been tax exempt both by state and federal taxes since 1978. Under the umbrella of an NPO, its purpose must be charitable and all revenue, after normal expenditures, must serve the public s interest (DeMartinis, 2005). In 2013, income

The new spirit of cooperation aimed to bring about a new era of peace and prosperity across Europe. The founding nations were Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Luxemburg. The final and sixth step came in the form of the Lisbon Treaty when the European Council was established as a fully fledged institution of the European Union. The Lisbon Treaty stated The European Council consists of the Heads of State and Government of the Member States and is an official institution of the Union (Article I 21) (Europa.eu, 2012). This treaty changed the structure of membership of the European Council. Before the Lisbon treaty the membership was a two tiered system. The first tier consisted of the heads of state or government of the member states and the president of the commission. The second tier consisted of the foreign ministers of each member state and one other member of the commission. Before the Lisbon treaty only two members per delegation were permitted to attend meetings of the council. This was to promote a more relaxed and informal atmosphere than that in council of ministers. Since the Lisbon treaty there is just one tier of membership consisting of heads of state, the European
  • 8. The Health Of A Health Care System A health care system is a framework of interrelated, interacting, and interdependent descriptions of human development in a given country, region, or community. This system of human development functions as an organized measure to promote and provide treatment in which individuals reach their highest attainable level of physical, mental, and social well being. All health care systems are grounded in the concept that genetic and biological factors must be taken into account to understand the problems and behaviors of a specific population. The interconnected factors that determine an individual s health status includes personal features, social status, culture, environment, educational attainment, health behaviors, childhood development, access to care, and government policy. International collaboration of ideas on the progression of transnational health is greatly endorsed for the benefit of complete global health care. Health care has social, governmental, and financial implications that affect all members of the health care system and in countries within the Central American region specially, citizens have fallen victim to health disparities that have resulted from long term neglect of the underlying factors that perpetuate this issue. It is imperative for children to develop with healthy nutrition during their first five years of life in order to sustain a healthy well being. The first symbolic representation is presented in act one are Macaroons. Nora carries a little bag of macaroons that she has been nibbling on and apparently she has not touched one. Nora s obsession with macaroons demonstrates her childish nature. In addition, it represents a struggle in her marriage to keep him happy while not feeding into her inner desires. • 11. Greek And Modern Theatre In Oedipus Rex By Sophocles For this play report, I read Oedipus Rex by Sophocles. The thing I most took away from this show was the differences and similarities in theatre between when it was written, circa 441 b.c.e, and now. Ancient Greek theatre is obviously very different from the theatre we perform today in many respects. Particularly, there were many performance elements that were very different and deemed unacceptable, such as female actors, within ancient Greek theatre; I would be fascinated to see how modern day adaptations went with the production. Additionally, the use of the chorus shows a need for less nuance than the theatre we use today, with a lot more explicit exposition; this is something that is used mainly as a joke or a parody in modern theatre. Finally, the plot itself is so crazy, yet there are a lot of parallels between it and popular books, theatre and other media today. Ultimately, this play was a really interesting look back in time as to what theatre was like thousands of years ago, and finding similarities and differences between now and then was a really enriching experience. There were a lot of differences between ancient Greek and modern theatre. For instance, with some basic knowledge of ancient Greek plays, I knew going into reading this that there were no female actors performing plays like Oedipus back when it was first written and performed. Yet, contrary to what I would have thought, writers still wrote in many female characters such as Jocasta, Oedipus s

Any woman within childbearing age is at risk for this disease, but it is more common in women in their 30s and 40s. There are a number of theories that suggest the cause of the disease, but none of the theories have been proven. With no certainty on what causes the disease, there is also no cure for it however the symptoms of the disease can be treated.[1] Endometriosis derives it name from the inside lining of the uterus, which is known as the endometrium. The disease occurs when the endometrium begins to grow in regions outside the uterus. The most common areas affected are the ovaries, the fallopian tubes, the pelvic cavity and the outer surface of the uterus, but the disease is not restricted to these areas. In rare cases it has even been found in the lungs and the brain. Normally, the endometrium breaks down and is removed from the uterus via the vagina through the menstrual period. With endometriosis, the displaced endometrium degenerates but it has no means of exit: the endometrial tissue sheds into the body and often causes irritation, inflammation and scar tissue. [1,2] The causes of endometriosis are still unknown, but several possible theories have been developed. Endometriosis appears to have a familial component, caused by certain genes. It could also likely to be caused by a compromised immune system. Another theory states that over production of the

Positive vs Negetive Side In these fantastic tales, Swift satirizes the political events in England and Ireland in his day, as well as English values and institutions. He ridicules academics, scientists, and Enlightenment thinkers who value rationalism above all else, and finally, he targets the human condition itself.Like all of Swift s works, Gulliver s Travels was originally published without Swift s name on it because he feared government persecution. His criticisms of people and institutions are often scathing, and some observers believe he was a misanthrope (one who hates mankind). Other critics have suggested that while Swift criticized humans and their vanity and folly, he believed that people are capable of behaving better than they do and hoped his works would convince people to reconsider their behavior. Swift himself claimed he wrote Gulliver s Travels to vex the world rather than divert it. He succeeded in that aim, as the book is considered one of the best examples of satire ever written. Swift s sharp observations about the corruption of people and their institutions still ring true today, almost three hundred years after the book was first published. In order to establish a connection to the audience, an author must understand human experience. In Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, two narratives are used, one of an older Jacob, and one of a younger Jacob. This choice is made by the author to help the reader fully comprehend the circle of life. Everyone succumbs to age sooner or later, and while many books conclude with the narrator finding contentment at an early age, this is not the case in reality. In the real world, most struggle to achieve fulfillment, by creating an elderly Jacob, in this case it does not necessarily mean that a live has been fulfilled. The use of extended metaphor and symbolism is present throughout the play, including the title. Ibsen makes the metaphor of Nora as a doll in the play through dialogue and narration. The main symbols Ibsen used are the Christmas tree, the macaroons, the tarantella dance, and Nora s costume. The macaroons again represent control. Torvald doesn t want Nora having them, but Nora does anyway. This represents how Nora wants authority of her life and even if it is a simple thing like eating macaroons when she wants to, she will take that sovereignty. However, when Torvald asks her, she lies and says she hasn t eaten any. This shows how even though she is taking a tiny bit of power, she won t admit to Torvald she has or wants control. She makes him believe that he is still in command over her. Even when Dr. Rank asks her about the Macaroons she doesn t take responsibility for them. This clearly shows how she wants command but doesn t want to risk losing control over the only thing she has control over The last mention of macaroons comes later in the play, just before Act III, at the extravagant dinner party. Nora calls for macaroons publicly, and Torvald doesn t like her being rebellious. Ibsen wrapped up the symbolism of the macaroons by having Nora express her want for freedom from Torvald at the dinner. The Christmas tree is only used as a symbol early in the play, but used very well. It very clearly represents Nora and Torvald s house. At the opening of the play, the Christmas tree is the first object seen. It is being brought in and hidden from the children. Nora says how the children can t see it until it is

Operation Forager Essay Questions Operation Forager The Marines has Landed The Beginning of the End of World War II (The Pacific War) Introduction: President of the United States of America Franklin Delano Roosevelt, seeing the devastation that was poised after the naval and air forces attack by the Japanese Empire against the US and hearing the clamor of the American people for vengeance, has encouraged the US to continuously strengthen its armed forces and train soldiers for the war against Japan. What followed is the passing by the US Congress of a formal declaration of war against Japan, which eventually allow US to officially enter into what is known as World War II. In 1943, US started its plan of launching its offensive against Japan in the Pacific Islands during the Quadrant Conference in Quebec. The intention was to occupy the islands of Saipan, Guam and Tinian from Japanese control. Thus, in June of 1944 the US launched an operation was then termed as the Operation Forager with Admiral Chester Nimitz of the Pacific Fleet as the overall campaign commander. Throughout his entire life, to the moment he died, he did his best to help the people around him. He wanted them to think and make correct moral decisions. Athens, one of the world s earliest democracies, raised Socrates, educated him and finally sentenced him to death, having found him guilty of religious unorthodoxy and corrupting the young (Wilson 2). Socrates was born in Alopece, a district of ancient Athens. He was born of Sophroniscus and Phaenarete. He married Xanthippe and they had three children. We do not have any writing that Socrates wrote himself. Therefore, our major sources for Socrates are Plato, Xenophan, and Aristophanes. Plato was a student of Socrates. However, not everything he wrote about Socrates can be taken literally. Plato used Socrates as a figure to voice different viewpoints. Everything Plato said about Socrates may not be completely true. Xenophan defended the accusations that were being held against Socrates. In the Apology, he describes Socrates mindset. This gives us an understanding of how Socrates stood up for his beliefs to the point where it cost him his life. Aristophanes wrote a play entitled The Clouds. Socrates was a character in this fictional comedy. The Clouds portrays Socrates as corrupting the youth of Athens and not properly venerating the gods of Athens. Socrates did not take offense to this, as comedies are meant just as entertainment.

So that s why I think school vouchers shouldn t be running in any private school anymore. Because sooner or later the private schools won t be able to support every student they have in their school because of how much money they re paying to keep the students on that school. And it s like the parents aren t even supporting their child at the school that they signed their child up for. That doesn t make any sense because that s like you sign your child up for something that cost a lot of money and the company that supports that program has to pay for your child to stay in that program. But the parents don t do anything. And who knows when there will be a time when something important breaks, or something to be payed for, but the school s budget is low because of the payments they made for all of the students. This also leads to how many kids are in a school because it s not there s going to be at least 80 kids in one school. Because there s going to be a lot more than that. And guess what, the school has to pay for them to stay in school. Why should schools have to pay for your child when that s the parent s responsibility. If the parents can t afford it, then they need to send them to a public school so they don t have to pay a
