10. To make most verbs
singular, add –s

• eat-eats
• Jump-jumps

11. To make a verb that ends in s, x, z,
ch, or sh singular, add –es

12. To make a verb that ends in a
consonant and a y singular, change the
y to an i and add –es

13. When the subject is plural, do not
change the form of the verb
