Sharks live in oceans around the world, preferring warm or mild waters. They are apex predators that primarily eat fish. However, many shark species are endangered due to poaching and finning for their valuable fins. Conservation efforts aim to protect sharks by stopping illegal poaching activities that threaten shark populations. Sharks have evolved adaptations like sharp teeth, keen smell, and camouflaged coloration that allow them to survive as top predators in ocean habitats.

Research tells us about the importance of friendships for adolescents. However many adolescent boys struggle to make and keep close friends. The HHS Office of Adolescent Health (OAH) and the federal Interagency Working Group on Youth Programs have developed a new video, “The Crisis of Connection for Adolescent Boys,” which underscores this struggle to connect and provides guidance on how to foster supportive friendships among adolescent boys. This is the first in a new TAG Talks video series created as part of the Adolescent Health: Think, Act, Grow® (TAG) call to action and is accompanied by discussion guides for professionals and families and additional resources.

Saw sharks are among the most distinctive shark, with its snout that resembles a saw (called faces) embedded with teeth. This curious adaptation is effective, as these sharks use it to remove muddy or sandy bottom while searching for prey, which stunned by sudden movements of your saw. The saw shark apart is the only shark eel shark has six gills, instead of the five or seven usually having another. Some saw shark species are highly prized as a food source, especially in Japan.
This was a report that I wrote to my friend Michael and to James Maslow from Big time rush. This is also a give to all you shark lovers. By the way HAPPY SHARK WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!
Whale Shark The largest of all sharks and the largest living fish, the whale shark is one of the most dramatic views of the ocean. Its large size, distinctive patterns and its enormous mouth make it instantly recognizable and can be commonly seen wandering near the surface in tropical and subtropical waters around the world. Their diet is based mainly on plankton, but also regularly feed on small schooling fish and squid. Unlike basking sharks, which simply filter vast amounts of water as they swim, whale sharks actively suck their prey before filtering efficiently and are sometimes seen in groups, feeding on high concentrations of food. Regularly appear in the same places at specific times of the year, probably to capitalize on plankton blooms and events such as coral spawning.
This was a seal report that I wrote when I was in California. I saw seals when I was in San Diego and they were very cool. The reason why I did research on seals is because I wanted to learned about them and I want to know how do they survive in their environment . I went to California over the summer with my family and I wanted to do research on these animals. I also donated some money to help the seals that were in San Diego.
Sharks have a killer sense of smell. Hammerhead sharks have that funny-looking head. Dogfish sharks are pregnant for two years. Female sharks can reproduce without male sharks. Sharks don't sleep at all and they are older than dinosaurs.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.

Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.
PHP Frameworks: I want to break free (IPC Berlin 2024)Ralf Eggert
In this presentation, we examine the challenges and limitations of relying too heavily on PHP frameworks in web development. We discuss the history of PHP and its frameworks to understand how this dependence has evolved. The focus will be on providing concrete tips and strategies to reduce reliance on these frameworks, based on real-world examples and practical considerations. The goal is to equip developers with the skills and knowledge to create more flexible and future-proof web applications. We'll explore the importance of maintaining autonomy in a rapidly changing tech landscape and how to make informed decisions in PHP development.
This talk is aimed at encouraging a more independent approach to using PHP frameworks, moving towards a more flexible and future-proof approach to PHP development.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

2. The shark is in the fish family.
Their adaptions are cold water and salt water.
Their meal is mostly fish.
The shark is a fish because it has fins and
swims under water.
3. A shark`s habitat is an ocean. Their
habitat is approximately 70% of the
earth’s surface.
Conventionally, the ocean has been
divided into 4 major ocean basins:
Atlantic, Pacific, Indian and Arctic
oceans.
Sand tiger sharks live in warm or mild
ocean water throughout the eastern
Pacific.
4. The shark is endangered because
poachers are finning (cutting) their top
fin off.
What is being done to protect them?
Defenders are trying to stop poachers
from finning.
5. All sharks have multiple rows of teeth and while they lose their teeth
on a regular basis new teeth continue to grow in and
replace the teeth they lose.
Shark bodies are rounded and tapering at the end.
Sharks also have a very acute sense of smell.
Shark skin is made up of series of scales that act up as an
outer skeleton for easy movement.
Sharks have a good sense of smell that helps them smell
from miles a way.
The upper side of a shark is generally dark to blend in
with the water above and undersides are white or lighter
surface of the sea below. There are more than 360 species
of sharks.
Sand tiger sharks breath underwater, through their gills
but sand tiger sharks have one unique habit: they are the
only shark that comes to the surface to gulp air. This gulp
of air isn't for breathing, after the shark swallows the air
it makes the shark more buoyant.
