Kansas City Teacher Residency (KCTR) is a teacher residency program that recruits, certifies, and develops teachers in the Kansas city region. Launched in 2016, by Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, KCTR has established a high-quality and diverse teacher preparatory program for Kansas City. In late 2018, Bellwether partnered with KCTR and Kauffman Foundation to redesign KCTR's program model to bring it in line with peer benchmarks and ensure long-term impact and sustainability. Over six months, Bellwether, in collaboration with KCTR's senior leadership team, Board, and key advisers, developed and began to implement a plan to put KCTR on a path to organizational and financial sustainability (initial changes significantly reduced the ongoing fundraising need). Key priorities identified in the plan included strengthening partnerships (with schools and university), optimizing KCTR expenditures, exploring new earned-revenue opportunities, and gradually growing the number of residents to full-scale. With the new plan, KCTR is prepared to continue the growth of impact while doing so in a sustainable manner, to ultimately fuel Kansas City with passionate, effective, and diverse educators.

Literature shows that the Internet generates a great attention of the scholars on its importance as an advertising medium, also an increased concentration toward customer and customer service is established. This research examines Customer Attitudes and Beliefs toward Internet Advertising in Palestine. Responses from a sample of 414 internet users where analyzed using SPSS program.
Findings show that Internet is the most usable advertising media in Palestine. Internet users agreed with the beliefs "Product Information, Social Role & Image, Hedonic/Pleasure, Value Corruption, Falsity/ No Sense Good for Economy, and Materialism", positive attitudes are perceived toward Online Advertising; in which they like it, consider it essential and good for them. Also respondents see more advantages in Online Advertising than they see disadvantages.
The researcher recommends developing the infrastructure of Internet; include advisory materials in the curriculums, control and monitor the Internet content especially ads materials. Government, Educational Institutes, Marketers, publishers, and households should all contribute in upgrading the beliefs and attitudes toward Online Advertising by protecting users' rights and privacy, complying with the goodwill, and developing its content quality.

This session draws on the experience of different institutions and their approach to addressing inequity in education within a HE context. Colleagues from De Montfort University, Kent University and University of the Arts London discuss how they are utilising mandatory staff development programmes, in the shape of Postgraduate Certificates to help academic staff to innovate and transform their teaching practice in light of the decolonising agenda.
Each of these institutions have various levels of experience in adopting this approach. Each will explain their individual approaches and reflect on the strengths and challenges they have encountered. In sharing this practice, we hope to inspire other institutions to also take bolder steps to developing a more equitable and inclusive student learning experience through their PG Certs.
We propose to run a structured plenary discussion providing an overview of the different approaches that institutions have taken to bringing issues of inclusive practice, decolonisation and racial and social justice into the key remit of mandatory PG Certs. There will be opportunity for delegates to reflect on challenges/approaches of presenting a similar approach within their institution.

In Week Five, you read about the link between Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and parental involvement. When students do not have their basic needs met or do not feel safe in school, they are not fully prepared for academic instruction. “It is imperative that we proactively create a climate that will support all students learning” (Hjalmarson, 2011, p.135). Partnerships are all about connection. In this final week of the class, we will end our discussion about the need to develop partnerships among schools, families, and communities to support student success.
Parents are the glue that helps to bring students and schools together. For schools, it is important to gain parent support and involvement in assisting students in their educational growth. Schools must develop strategies to offer parents in establishing better support for students in their educational journey; however, in order for schools to help parents, there must be a plan in place. We learned at the start of this course that there are a variety of ways in which parents can be supportive of students in school. Far gone are the days when the only way that parents could show support was to help with homework. Although helping with homework is still vital, it is only a small example of the many strategies that parents can use to support the education of their children.
Think about the classroom today, beyond fundraisers and PTA meetings. What are some of ways in which your child's school has asked for your support or you have asked parents for support? How does this extend to using technology as a means of academic support? Consider the technology you use to communicate with your child’s teachers or with the parents of your students. Research shows a strong correlation between the achievement gap and home Internet accessibility (Empowering Parents, 2010). “If, as President Obama emphasizes, parents have a responsibility to be actively involved in their children’s education, they will need the technology tools and skills to do so effectively” (The Children’s Partnership, 2010, p. 7). Having regular communication with schools through email, blogs, and social media helps parents receive updates to their child’s performance and plan for what additional supports they might need for areas of need.
