Teachers’ and Students involvement
on classroom control
“accomplishing well-
disciplined classroom setting
with the use of class
RULES”
What do we mean by
Rules are just like other
instructional activities. They have
to be taught, reviewed, and
reinforced if they are to be
remembered.
Rules should be
both written and
taught to
students at the
beginning of the
year.
Guidelines for establishing
OInvolve the class in making the
rules.
OKeep the rules short and easy
to understand.
OPhrase the rules in a positive
way.
ORemind the class of the rules
at times other than when
someone has misbehaved
OMake different rules for
different kinds of activities.
OKey children in to when
different rules apply.
OPost the rules and review them
periodically.
OIf a rule isn't working, change
it.
What is the importance of
having
and regulations?
For the students to recognize
real-life situations.

For the students to know their
rights and responsibilities
“Students are involved in
deliberating such ideas and their
job is basically to do as they are

2. Fairness is key
Act fairly for all
students if you
expect to be
respected.
3. Deal with Disruptions with
as Little Interruption as
Possible
When you have classroom
disruptions, it is imperative that
you deal with them immediately
and with as little interruption of
your class momentum as possible
4. Avoid Confrontations in
Front of Students
Deal with discipline
issues privately than
cause a student to
'lose face' in front of
their friends.
5. Stop Disruptions with a
Little Humor
Use your best judgment but
realize that what some people
think as funny others find to be
offensive.
6. Keep High Expectations in
Your Class
Tell your students
about your
expectations. That
they will behave not
disrupt.
7. Overplan
Write additional activities into
your lesson plans just in case
your main lesson run short.
8. Be Consistent
One of the worst things you can do as a
teacher is to not enforce your rules
consistently. If one day you ignore
misbehaviors and the next day you jump
on someone for the smallest infraction,
your students will quickly lose respect
for you.
9. Make Rules Understandable
Students should understand what is
and what is not acceptable. Further,
you should make sure that the
consequences for breaking your
rules are also clear and known
beforehand.
10. Start Fresh Everyday
It does mean that you should
start teaching your class each
day with the expectation that
students will behave.

  • 2. Teachers’ and Students involvement on classroom control “accomplishing well- disciplined classroom setting with the use of class RULES”
  • 3. What do we mean by
  • 4. Rules are just like other instructional activities. They have to be taught, reviewed, and reinforced if they are to be remembered.
  • 5. Rules should be both written and taught to students at the beginning of the year.
  • 7. OInvolve the class in making the rules. OKeep the rules short and easy to understand.
  • 8. OPhrase the rules in a positive way. ORemind the class of the rules at times other than when someone has misbehaved OMake different rules for different kinds of activities.
  • 9. OKey children in to when different rules apply. OPost the rules and review them periodically. OIf a rule isn't working, change it.
  • 10. What is the importance of having and regulations?
  • 11. For the students to recognize real-life situations. “The more they act it everyday, The more they learn about the things they have agreed from”

  • 13. For the students to know their rights and responsibilities “Students are involved in deliberating such ideas and their job is basically to do as they are told”
  • 14.
  • 17. 2. Fairness is key Act fairly for all students if you expect to be respected.
  • 18. 3. Deal with Disruptions with as Little Interruption as Possible When you have classroom disruptions, it is imperative that you deal with them immediately and with as little interruption of your class momentum as possible
  • 19. 4. Avoid Confrontations in Front of Students Deal with discipline issues privately than cause a student to 'lose face' in front of their friends.
  • 20. 5. Stop Disruptions with a Little Humor Use your best judgment but realize that what some people think as funny others find to be offensive.
  • 21. 6. Keep High Expectations in Your Class Tell your students about your expectations. That they will behave not disrupt.
  • 22. 7. Overplan Write additional activities into your lesson plans just in case your main lesson run short.
  • 23. 8. Be Consistent One of the worst things you can do as a teacher is to not enforce your rules consistently. If one day you ignore misbehaviors and the next day you jump on someone for the smallest infraction, your students will quickly lose respect for you.
  • 24. 9. Make Rules Understandable Students should understand what is and what is not acceptable. Further, you should make sure that the consequences for breaking your rules are also clear and known beforehand.
  • 25. 10. Start Fresh Everyday It does mean that you should start teaching your class each day with the expectation that students will behave. DON’T ASSUME!!!
  • 26. As a teacher, Is it necessary to have our students suggestions in creating class rules?
